I contacted Emanual online on Friday requesting a second download of a BMW 128i repair manual as I lost my original download and they responded promptly the next day and provided me with another download at no cost. I was looking for a manual for a specific vehicle. Now this, I considered near impossible. I was asked to provide further information like VIN, build code, engine code etc. after providing the information requested, I received a reply nearly 10 minutes later (on a Sunday). Of course they could not provide me with one. But at least they tried to locate one for me, I have already purchased 2 manuals from eManual and those are absolutely awesome. I would recommend these guys to anyone. I have even mentioned them on forums and others have joined the fray. Thanks eManual.

Wong manual. Twice!
I purchased an e-manual in 2024 and the link sent me to the wrong model. I contacted support and got a link to the correct manual via email. In December 2025 I purchased another manual (PDF) listed $58.99 CAD and it again was wrong. This time to another model year. After contacting support they sent me a link to software that I needed to install on a computer to access files, not a PDF. It’s listed for $34.99CAD. When I asked for a refund on the difference, they refused and just offered a 25% discount on a future purchase. The software sucks because it’s slow and there isn’t a search function making it almost useless. I’m done with them.
*update* Jon did reach out to me shortly after this review and acknowledged the problem. As stated in his reply they are working on their links. They refunded the purchase price of the emanual/software which satisfies my concerns. If I need another manual, I’d probably give them another chance.

Regarding your most recent order, I completely understand why you’re unhappy. You ordered a PDF, and although we sent a working OEM software version as an alternative, that should not have replaced the format you initially chose. Manuals are nice if you get the right one.
I purchased a manual for a Mitsubishi Evo 1-3. The file I was given was for a Mitsubishi colt. After reaching out they sent me another file which again was the wrong vehicle Mitsubishi Evo 4-10. I reached out yet again and was sent files for 1st and 2nd gen Mitsubishi eclipse. After asking for a refund I was told no that I received the manual. I explained again that I was given the wrong manual multiple times and have not heard back. The manuals that I received are nice but not for the car I need. So not very helpful in that aspect. Would have given a 1 star but the actual manuals I was sent were nice just the wrong vehicle.
Update. The company never reached out after replying to this review. Just throwing this here in case someone reading this thinks emanual fixed the issue after replying. Updated 17 December 2025.

The problem is that eManualOnline…
The problem is that eManualOnline advertises "offline viewing on Mac/PC", but the VirtualBox software they require for viewing the downloaded OVA file is not compatible with modern Macs using Apple silicon by eManualOnline's own admission. Offline viewing can be essential if you don't have Internet access where you work on your car, and based on my experience, download speeds from the eManualOnline website are probably too slow for practical online usage. Despite advertising features they could not support eManualOnline refused my request for a refund, which is clearly a breach of implied warranty in US law.
