Problems with the Search feature can often be due to the server-side search being enabled, since not all providers have the same search options as eM Client. Please try disabling it by unchecking the "Use server search if available" option in the Search bar drop-down menu. At the same time, we suggest enabling the download for offline use (Menu>Accounts>IMAP/EWS tab>Sync Options). This way your messages are downloaded fully in the background and the more detailed local search can give you better results.

Generally good product

Generally good product. What i feel as a less user friendly, is the thicknes of scroll-bars at the side by folders.

The scrollbar width can be changed in Settings>Appearance>Lists. In the "Item Lists Properties", change the "Scrollbar style" to "Use wide scrollbars". Alternatively, you can use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

It truly is the best integrated email…

It truly is the best integrated email platform on the market that no one knows about. On a Mac, it allows me to have all my email accounts in one place and offers excellent organization tools and customizations. I love having the sidebar calendar and AI writing tools. I'm looking forward to eM Client providing better integration with OEM task managers and improved speed for mail search.

Mostly ok

Mostly ok. Feature set exceeds my needs. I did experience an issue in printing an email out of a conversation to pdf on iOS and iPadOS. hit print. Then expand the preview to save as pdf. The document switched from a single email in the conversation to being a document containing all messages.

The eM Client app will not delete emails unless a user takes action or a specific Rule is in place. If you're experiencing issues with the app running slowly or emails disappearing, please contact us at info@emclient.com and include more details, including your operating system version, when/which emails seem to disappear (any details will help - do they disappear from a specific folder? Account? Specific time?), and whether you have any rules set up in Menu > Rules. We'll be happy to assist you.

Also, have you tried using the Search in the title bar of the app to look for these emails? Just in case they were just stored in a different folder.

A very smooth email client replacement for Outlook

I did have some problems with initial setup, due to my Exchange server connection. But emClient support worked with me and fixed the problem. I was very satisfied with my support experience.

The software has been a great replacement for Outlook on both my Windows boxes and on my Android phones. I was motivated to research Outlook replacements when Microsoft 365 broke Outlook for my email scenario.

I hope emClient releases a Linux version soon, since I want to work on migrating off of Windows on some of my hardware.

Decent but not as good as I had hoped.

eM Client is a step up (although not as big of one as I had hoped) from my old Outlook 2019. Not wanting another subscription-based service, their lifetime license was what sealed the deal. I love the ability to create "quick text" libraries of template text I can easily paste into emails.

However, the way email threads are organized is a little clunky and formatting my text is always a pain; styles change for no reason and there's no "keep source formatting" option for pasting from the clipboard so any links contained there get lost. Also, meeting requests don't seem to work and the interface for that lacks a few key steps. Their AI options are also more limited than competitors like Canary Mail or Spark.

It times out on my phone and won't load…

It times out on my phone and won't load until I go to my notifications, click on one and then wait about 30 seconds. Then they will load, but now when I am out of the office I can't depend on my e-mail.

Please try adjusting the Message sync time period in the same section by choosing a shorter scope - syncing a shorter period than "all time" should also help with getting the newest messages faster.

I like the total look and feel

I like the total look and feel, ability for multi accounts.
Dislike: 7accounts and very slow (10sec to sync) - perhaps 1st task should be sync only inboxes to feel snap. Opening emails is also very slow, dont know why.

We actually do synchronize Inboxes first, unless you open a different folder - then that folder is prioritized as well, so you can see emails in the folder you just opened asap.

With this many accounts what might be helpful is to download messages for offline use (Menu>Accounts>IMAP/EWS tab>Sync Options). This feature will download your messages in the background so they will be readily available once you try to read them, and it won't slow down your workflow.
