This program works

This program works. I got started down this path (inadvertently) by an eye doctor who was all about the minimum needed - even dropping my diopter so I could read more comfortably (with reading glasses). Jake takes this to the whole next level - for free! All I've spent so far is about $4 for a cheap tape measure and some super cheap glasses from Zenni.com. It's only been a few months for me, but when I'm consistent about not using my old contacts (which I have been for work travel), I see steady improvement. It's not an instant fix, but I'm sticking to it. I want to never have to use a contact again - I'm getting horrible red veins in my eyes from them!

Empowering Stuff

I am grateful to Jake for providing this resource to help me take ownership of my eye health. If you are patient, thorough, and do the reading, this is a gold-mine. As Kelly Starrett does for myofascial health, Jake gives us tools to help understand our biology and take a crack at resolving our own lifestyle-imposed restrictions and limitations.

It's not about how fast, it's about that it works!

I discovered Endmyopia.org about a year ago and haven't looked back since then. I have improved about 0.5 diopters, witch is good with my long hours at the computer and phone. Sometimes some doubt arises, but then I remember that it's not about fast improvement, rather it's time to reflect, change bad habits and just give yourself some time. I am very grateful to Jake for all the information he put online for everyone's benefit and would give him a big hug if I could. :) So if you are new here, start learning and improve your eyesight too!

So Excited to find Endmyopia!!!

I am so excited to finally find Endmyopia. I found lots of other info on the internet, but I didn't agree with the science theories and never could find good information to actually guide me in how to actually reduce my perscription (like numerically, HOW). I read a lot on Endmyopia, and it finally clicked. The science, the numbers, what to do and how to do it, and what not to do. I read about others with similar vision problems and made conservative adjustments to my glasses perscription along with better vision habits. I am on my 3rd set of glasses with a reduced perscription and have made major improvements already. I have low myopia and high astigmatism. Endmyopia isn't a quick fix with quick answers. You have to read, understand, and make changes to get results. And the results are life-changing! My vision is improving every day and I estimate to be completely glasses free within the next 3-4 months... Seriously! If you give Endmyopia an honest effort, you will see results.

Great Teaching Site

If you take your time and listen carefully to what Jake is teaching you, it all makes sense. He doesn't hand it to you on a silver platter, he wants you to understand the why's and how's (science) behind his methods. We are all different with different situations, so we have to figure out what is best for ourselves as individuals, just like everything in life. The best part is that he gives tips and tricks when he has figured out something new. Check it out, he gives more information than any eye doctor I know! Sometimes he'll even offer his services for a fee; lucky you!

Great stuff

Reading through other reviews, it is difficult to add something - people have provided much better/clear summary that I am capable of.

In my view, there are two levels of what Endmyoipa.org is bringing, both of them in my pretty significant:

1) You can do something with your eyes (and myopia) - I have never asked myself this question before! Endmyopia.org made me to do my own peer-reviewed scientific literature search, which showed me that many things in this subject are actually scientifically proven!

2) Endmyopia.org shows you (OK, it is a bit difficult to extract the info out of it, but it can be done with some digging) how to improve your eye-sight. It gives a lot of great advices - none of them is a rocket science and once you read them, they feel so natural.

I have been following it for 1.5 years so far and can confirm that this thing works (at least for me it does - I have dropped about 1.25 D in both of my eyes and this has been confirmed by an eye doctor).

Jake looks like a sort of lunatic when going through Endmyopia.org. I thought I would give it a go as there was no other alternative for me (after visiting 2 optometrist, getting 4 pairs of glasses prescribed and struggling to see through any of them comfortably). Shortly speaking, every advice I tried has worked.

There's nothing wrong with your eyes, you just need stronger glasses...

I had an elderly ophthalmologist tell me with a perfectly straight face "there's nothing wrong with your eyes, you just need stronger glasses". This, as an answer to my grave concern over suddenly started, fast eyesight deterioration. At which point I decided they just haven't got a clue (but don't have the guts to admit it, the cowards!) and started my own research.

By the time I found endmyopia.org, I had figured the connection between starting to wear glasses for close-up due and on-going deterioration, only didn't really know what to do about it other than stop making things much worse. Finding endmyopia.org in this situation was like finding the veritable pot of gold at the rainbow's end. The truth about myopia is kinda shocking but also blindingly (pun intended) obvious when you finally come across it. Since then, slowly closing in on being able to use the computer without glasses again. It's huge. Just don't expect any miracle cures overnight, it's a long road ahead.

Endmyopia has a paid programme for a guided tour to getting your eyesight back, but the fundamental information - a wealth of it - is freely available. Which is just the way it should be: some like to DIY while others prefer paying others to help with the heavier lifting, you get to choose whatever works for you after assessing the situation based on the free information. It's actually not entirely unlike how the open-source software ecosystem works.

Your eyes are not "broken"

Endmyopia is an inspiring resource for anyone who is curious to learn about eye anatomy and the principles behind reversing myopia.

These ideas can be controversial and even heretical to establishment optometry.
Be your own optometrist, but you must do your homework- don't fool around with curved plastic.
You can sign up to the mailing list for a seven day intro to the concept with the option at the end to enter a structured program. All the info for myopia reversal is free however, and can be found somewhere in the blog using search feature.

Oh, and for a laugh, read the "financial disclaimer" which is linked at the very bottom of every page, meow.

Great site

Great site. When I started wearing glasses a few years ago I thought I was gonna wear them for the rest of my life continously getting a higher presciption.

Luckily, about a year ago I found a YouTube video of a woman showing how she had been reducing her diopters thanks to some guidelines she had been following from a guy called Jake Steiner. I was curious about that, so I started searching more information regarding that guy and his method, so I found endmyopia.org and started reading all the posts he (Jake Steiner) had been posting and at the same time learning that my myopia could be reversed naturally without any LASIK operation. That completely opened my mind about how some things truly work.

Although I haven't been completely following all the recommendations that are in the webpage to reduce my myopia, I've managed to atleast stop my prescription from getting higher ( now it's at 2.5 diopters in both eyes) and use glasses that better fit my eye needs ( my optometrist recommended me some overprescribed glasses ( 3.00L 3.25R diopters)).

I really recommend this site if you have myopia and want to get rid of it, it'll take time but if you read all the posts and work each day towards that goal, you'll finally achieve it and will enjoy the feeling of seeing the world with clarity thanks to your own eyes, not through some glasses.

Jake's method is the best thing out…

Jake's method is the best thing out there for anyone who, like me, is disturbed by the fact of their increasing lens-induced myopia and wants to stop and reverse that process naturally. The method is not a quick fix. It's not easy, results are slow, and it takes a fair amount of commitment, but it's something that you empower yourself with, not something that a corporation gives you (like glasses, contacts or Lasik) which you shell out a lot of money for and just passively accept.

Great Method for Taming Myopia

I think the material on this site is great. I have tried the Bates method before and really didn't get anywhere. With the techniques of this website I am able to have more control over my vision and achieve more visual clarity. I feel that with time my myopia will get better.

A platform for making eyesight improvement accessible to anybody

There should be absolutely zero surprise that our eyes are adaptable. They are a part, of course, of our body, the ultimate adaptation machine. And yet, somehow we’ve accepted a permanent crutch affixed to our face for the rest of our lives, because of an unwillingness to research the most basic principles of eyeball adaptation.

Many “systems” exist to fix the eyes. The crux of the difference between Endmyopia and those? It’s not a system in the same sense; it’s not about prescribing some quick fix. It’s a system in a bigger sense - a system for structuring knowledge and providing first principles. It’s not a box of techniques - it’s an approach. An intelligent approach.

So for some, that makes it more challenging than a system which tells you the reps and sets of eye exercises, the magic pill fix.

I’ve seen criticisms that the information isn’t “organized” - nonsense. The starting point is clear - learn about the eyes. Construct a model of eye adaptation. Give your eyes the appropriate stimuli.

It’s not “easy” to do - and it’s definitely not easy to construct an entire platform for making this accessible along the huge spectrum of human dispositions. Jake does that. For free.

So get started. No, it’s not easy at first - it gets easier as you go, as you read and learn more. Not the other way around.

Excellent site on how to take control of your eyesight

I discovered Endmyopia at the end of last year when I was looking for information about how to improve my eyesight.
For the first time I found something that really made sense to me and it works: so far I´ve improved 0.5 diopter.
On this site you get all the science-based information about the beginning of myopia and the reasons why it gets worse and worse and how you can reverse the process. You find lots of quite uplifting progress reports and the very refreshing writing of a (slightly) ironic so called eye-guru :).
So take your time to work through the information and then start the journey of reversing your myopia - it´s all about changing habits and being patient and consistent.
