There is an item on their website right…

There is an item on their website right now listed as available which I paid for last night, only to receive an email today telling me that said item is unavailable with no replenishment offer from the manufacturer. They don't have the item is fine but what is not cool is the fact that every contact that I have made with them has just ended up with me either speaking to a machine or receiving an email directing me to another email directing me to another email! It's absolutely frustrating and I really need to get my money back!!!
Guess what guys?
As you can see, English Elm has posted the usual AI generated response to my review while the same unavailable item which I was deceived into buying is still "in stock" on their website!!!

Apparent pattern of "OUT OF STOCK"

I am furious and disappointed about my order on Saturday. I asked if an item was in stock. I was assured there were 5 items in the manufacturers warehouse. I ordered the item 29 MINUTES later, and low and behold----received an email that it was magically OUT OF STOCK. I simply do not believe 5 rugs were sold in 29 minutes. This seems to be a pattern per the Better Business Bureau website and other negative reviews. they can hold your money while this item is on backorder, so it must be advantageous to them, or they have a very poor supply management system.

Check in advance so you aren't disappointed when waiting

After reading negative reviews related to late orders, I checked before ordering whether the item I wanted was in stock. I received a quick response that it was on back order, and a new shipment was due from the manufacturer in a few weeks, with only a few pieces still available. I decided to risk it. English Elm responded quickly to my inquiries for updates and, while it took a little longer than anticipated, they cannot send what they do not yet have. I am pleased with my purchase, it's just as described. I don't think we're used to websites these days that don't show "out of stock," which may account for so many negative reviews about having to wait for items.

Classic Bait and Switch!!!!

I ordered a lounge chair and ottoman! Paid extra for secured shipping! At the day of arrival, I was told that the ottoman was unavailable!!!!!! Poor business practices! Poor communication, poor customer service! Will never do business with this company And I would not recommend this company to my dog!!!!
