Meh. Pretty good company. I mean, they’re legit and they’re not a scam company, but they used to be soooo much better back in the day when they first got started and had more personal “one-on-one touc... See more

Very helpful for getting started, very good also for long term investing. I suspect my next few investments will need less help. Thanks for all...

EquityZen offers competitive private equity share prices, but they could better advocate for investors during crises. The handling of PolySign’s liquidation, coupled with the firm's misleading claims of “good” standing, highlights a missed opportunity for EquityZen to act more proactively or involve regulatory authorities like the SEC.
Despite the platform’s usefulness and responsive team, stronger investor advocacy and transparency would build greater trust and confidence.

1. Access to Pre-IPO Investments: EquityZen allows accredited investors to invest in private companies before they go public. This provides an opportunity to invest in companies that are not yet available on the public stock market.
2. Lower Minimum Investment: Compared to other secondary market platforms, EquityZen offers a relatively low minimum investment requirement, making it more accessible to a broader range of investors.
3. Liquidity for Shareholders: EquityZen provides a platform for early shareholders, such as employees and angel investors, to sell their shares in private companies. This helps them liquidate their holdings and gain access to cash.
4. Diverse Investment Options: EquityZen offers various investment products, including single company funds, multi-company funds, and direct share acquisitions. This allows investors to choose the type of investment that best suits their preferences and risk tolerance²⁴.
5. Transparency and Clarity: EquityZen is known for its transparency and clear listing schedule, which helps investors make informed decisions about their investments.
6. Potential for High Returns: Investing in late-stage, pre-IPO companies can offer significant upside potential, especially if the companies go public and perform well in the stock market.

Great service. It may not be Equityzen fault, but closing takes too long.

Easy to use system. Because of the user friendly system, the transaction went smoothly.

Comprehensive Legally. I prefer a Company to investor direct deal with an escrow firm taking a fee. The way I understand it, Equity Zen holds my money/shares in a "Fund" earmarked for the company I bought. Confusing but presumably safe.
