If you are traveling to Vietnam and own a Samsung S24+, do not even think about buying an eSIM from Holafly, unless your goal is to throw your money out the window and ruin the start of your trip.

I paid 58 EUR for an eSIM that simply didn't work. Not just one, but actually two, because I was given a replacement in an attempt to provide a miracle solution to my problem.

Imagine landing on a new continent in the middle of the night with absolutely zero internet connection: no way to communicate, no maps, and no possibility of finding your way to your hotel. That was my reality thanks to this useless product.

I spent hours in the middle of the night, across several nights, chatting with their customer support. The experience was agonizing and completely unproductive. Different agents guided me through every possible phone setting in a desperate guessing game. I tried every single so-called "solution" they offered, and absolutely none of them worked.

In the end, it was all for nothing. Customer support was completely unable to offer a real fix, and the eSIMs didn't work.
I eventually refused to continue wasting my time and my holiday going through the exhausting chat experience all over again.
Now, I am out 58 EUR for a product that failed to deliver on its basic promise.

If you own the same device and are traveling to the same destination, save your money, your time, and your sanity. Either choose a different eSIM provider or buy a local physical SIM at the airport and avoid Holafly at all costs.

The price was great. It was easy to install and use. The connection was pretty good all trip (Vietnam). Will definitely use Holafly again.

I use Holafly for all my international travel as I have found they are the most reliable and cheapest service. Even when I have occasionally had issues, they have been able to resolve quickly. For this trip to Vietnam my wife and I both used Holafly for the full duration with no connectivity or signal issues. Would recommend using them

I used Holafly in Vietnam. The coverage was very good throughout Vietnam. It was a bit problematic to activate the e-sim after arriving in Vietnam. I highly recommend the Holafly e-sim.

Brilliant E-sim bought for a trip to south east Asia. We only needed one sim to cover all of our destinations (Singapore/Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos & Bangkok.) the data speed was brilliant and sturdy and the sim was easy to activate. Can’t recommend enough.
Must say though, I got a better price buying for both my phone and my husband’s phone. But having never used them before, I found it really tricky to get his downloaded. Got there after 2 hours 😬. Was with it though.

I initially purchased data in Vietnam and had the worst experience with very, very poor coverage while other people next to me had no problems. They didn't buy from Holafly though.

On 3 separate occasions I needed support and with all three it took between 40 min to 1,5 hours to go through support. I am on vacation yet can't leave the room because the data is not working so simple things like getting around via Google Maps got impossible.

Every single time I also talked to between 4 and 5 different people and every time I had to explain everything all over again, every single time they changed customer service representatives, so that got annoying really fast.

Yesterday I wanted to cancel my subscription. Easy right? NO!! That took 40 min and I talked to 5 different people. FIVE!!!

I am done with Holafly. It seems you are talking to a bunch of teenagers and not real tech folk! And no I have nothing against teenagers or new employees, but you really get the feeling that the employees have no clue what they are doing.

On several occasions they would ask you to wait, yet would forget to get back to you,, so you just sit there, waiting. It happened so many times and you really get the feeling that they are either messing with you or that they just couldn't care less.

Easy to use and to set-up, during our 3 weeks trip in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand we had a really good connectivity.

I purchased the Asia package as I was travelling to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore. On arrival in HK I was very disappointed that it did not work at all. I spent my 3 days there back and forth checking settings - all of which were correct. I had to purchase Airalo so that I could email Holafly. 3 requests for a refund were ignored.

Installing and getting my ESIM working was a nightmare. On line chat helped . Once installed everything worked perfectly. I chose an Asian ESIM and it worked flawlessly in Vietnam , Cambodia and Singapore.

Holafly ESims are amazing, I bought the esim Asia unlimited data for a 68 day trip . I traveled through Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam & Singapore and the service was amazing , automatically connected to the local network without any need for setting changes. Truly an amazing service, which I would recommend to travelers who need a data plan , it works seamlessly with Whatsapp so you don't even need to have a cellular plan to use your cell number .

I purchased an unlimited data pack for all of asia for around 2 months, it’s been a week and speeds are generally fast for mobile gaming and streaming but I’ve only used about 5gb in total and a lot of reviews online say people experience throttling after a certain amount used. I have not experienced this but I’ll update in the future.

In both Vietnam and China my data stopped working suddenly after a few days. The support team does get issues sorted out but for the price these issues should not be happening. It’s frustrating also having to answer Emma’s questions (the answering bot) for like ten minutes before I can get ahold of a real person. If you want a reliable connection I can’t say I’d recommend travelling with them. Instead it’d probably be best to buy a fixed data pack elsewhere where you can top up as needed, I was admittedly lazy and just thought the unlimited pack would be less stress lol

used Holafly during my trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Singapore, and it made travelling much easier. The eSIM was simple to set up before I left, and I had internet as soon as I landed in each country, which was really helpful for directions and staying in touch.
The connection worked well most of the time, especially in cities and tourist areas. It saved me the hassle of buying and swapping local SIM cards in each place.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend Holafly if you want an easy, stress-free way to stay connected across multiple countries

Did our research prior to leaving UK as we needed good reliable Internet.
We choose Hofafly following feedback and area covered.
We travelled from Northern Vietnam right the way south to HCMC then on to Cambodia and Thailand we never had an issue even in the mountains or in Ho long bay. Great signal every where.
When we had a small issue with connection changing from vietnam to Cambodia the online assistant talked us through out and solved the problem it was a simple move from 5g to 4g.

Very reliable service, easy to install and great customer service if you get stuck. Data speed is very good in most places and reception only dipped once on the ferry from Can Tho to Phu Quoc for a short time. Have used Holafly throughout Europe, Bali, Vietnam and Malaysia. Excellent service throughout.

This time I used Holaly e-sim for Vietnam and Thailand combined. Last time for Japan. Works perfect. Good coverage and capacity. This time I hadn’t set it up correctly but got very good help from their customer care.

I used Holafly for my travel in Vietnam. I traveled the south, North and Central coast areas and had service the whole time. The internet speed was reasonable as well. I had no issues in sending messages and video calling.

Ive used holafly when i traveled to vietnam and it worked perfectly.
I purchased a new one this time around and it wasnt as easy. But i got very good help from two of the service team and i want to give khalil from the special techical team! He was so patient with me and really tried to help me solve the problem.
