I bought the eSim before my trip to China, Vietnam and Thailand. As I was travelling through several countries, I bought the Asia region version. It worked very well, and the VPN in China worked as well. Had no troubles during the entire trip.

Holafly service and internet connection
Holafly unlimited internet was working great in China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia. The phone was automatically connected to the Holafly internet as soon as I landed and switched from flight mode to the network. I`ll recommend it and will be using it again when travelling abroad.

Excellent coverage with Holafly esim in Asia
I travelled the length of Vietnam with a Holafly Asian region esim in my iphone, and toured a good deal of Thailand with it too. The coverage was excellent. Apart from about a 5-minute period in central Vietnam on my travels, I didn't notice any loss of coverage at all. Also, the purchase and activation process was very smooth. My only slight criticism is that the phone app could probably be improved, as it didn't seem to add much information value.

Mixed feeling. 20 days unlimited in Can Tho, Vietnam for business trip. Worked perfect, usually 5G. But suddenly connection swaped to LTE last 4 or 5 days in the same town as before. Almost useless for navigation. A pity. Disapointing.
I truly appreciate that Holafly contacted me afterwards and proposed me a partial refund or bonus coupon. I was happy to accept the bonus coupon to be used next time. Thanks.

Holafly …. Check destination accessibility before you buy!!
Only by complaining on Trustpilot did I finally get resolution and a refund from Holafly, having spent hours trying to resolve it on their portal.
It left an bad taste in my mouth, not to mention the stress of not being able to get the chip working in Vietnam, so check if you do decide to buy their product, that the app works in your destination.
Personally, I would not recommend them but thank you, Trustpilot, without you, I suspect I would still be trying to get money back 😖

Totally superb service and faster coverage than at home
I honestly don't think it could be better. I was SUPER impressed. Especially as I was able to hotspot to my wife's phone which is incompatible with eSIM's.
She was able to browse independently to me. It is like having two eSIM's
All over Cambodia and Vietnam I browsed at 5G.....It was when I arrived back in Manchester UK that my phone went back to 3G!
It was faultless and my wife never ran out of data either.

Absolutely rubbish
Absolutely rubbish, no service, no back up, no contact.
Bought a chip for a month in Vietnam, the app does not work in Vietnam so we cancelled, all on line with no back up as they instructed and we were promised a refund.
Nothing! Even back here we can only get hold of the robot ‘Emma’ who advised you to wait for a ‘person’ and never does anyone appear.

Great esim for Asia
The Asia esim worked brilliantly and covered all the countries we visited: Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
The switch over between countries was pretty seamless, we didn't need to do anything except when we arrived in Taiwan.
Taiwan and Hong Kong require a "real name registration" to be completed which involved clicking a link that was texted to our phones from sender #SIMREG (looked suss so I googled it before I clicked the link!) then we had to upload a copy of our passport to verify our ID. Once accepted we restarted each phone and it worked a treat.
Would definitely recommend Holafly, the cost was reasonable and the process was simple.

I used Holafly for a trip to Vietnam, Thailand, and Laos. It was so easy to install the e-sim and worked seamlessly through my trip. I had several friends on the trip that decided to buy separate e-sims for each country and had so many issues (not with Holafly).
