I used holafly in 6 countries this year, the only time I had issue with the eSim was in Vietnam and Holafly customer service team was very helpful and supportive.

So I’m 15 days into a 21 day trip around Thailand and Vietnam. The sign up process was extremely easy, the configuration is a little tricky and the instruction on the video could be clearer but everything worked and when it didn’t, this morning in Cat Ba, they were on hand, via whattsapp to fix my issue in 5 minutes. Absolutely brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

I had to get coverage for Europe, Jersey, Thailand and Vietnam. The customer service rep on the chat was very helpful. Very impressive customer service - so different from most online services.

Unfortunately I had issues with my Esim in Vietnam and was unable to use it, although it had shown data has been used this was not the case. I requested a refund and feel the company solved my bad experience in the best way, and David and Mariana were very helpful in finding a solution!

At first in the cities it worked well then I had problems and after some adjustments by the assistants we decided to change it and it worked great

After 5 hours with customer service and 4 representatives due to my Vietnam eSIM not activating, Jhon gave me a new eSIM that worked. As a result, I did not ask for a refund and continued to use Holafly.

My e sim in Vietnam worked only on day . I was with support 3 times 1 hour . Could not solve the problem! Don’t buy !!!

I ended up paying about £40 for 15 day unlimited data to Vietnam including discount but this should have been in dollars. Also no hot spotting policy should have been made clear at the outset before I paid. However Company responded favourably and promptly to my concerns.

Customer service was fast and responsive. I had issues with speed and connectivity for my most recent trip in Vietnam but the customer service provided a partial refund and an additional coupon within a week after my trip was completed.

Before buying, ask to which provider the holyfly eSim will connect to and check the quality. I bought for Vietnam recently for a 20 days pass and the choosen network is awfull and unusable. Holafly just able to say "sorry", a free word at a 59€.
However, holafly's support is good and quick even if you have many interlocutors (Mateo, Moises,Ana,Lara,David,...) and you have to repeat and repeat your issues and that they all suggest the same solutions that can't solve my issue cause network is bad.
I had to buy a local Sim to have connection.
Mise à suite à réponse Holafly : je suis dans une zone très bien couverte par divers opérateurs dont celui d'Holafly. Mais ce réseau partenaire est très mauvais (débit 1Mo/s et ping 1000ms) donc inutilisable. Merci à Holafly de suggérer en premier lieu que je suis en tort.

Bought an unlimited 5 days plan for Vietnam. Doesn't work at all and speed was down to 10kbps from the beginning rendering thr service absolutely unusable. I was tight smack in district 1 in ho chi minh so it was quite unacceptable for the issues I was facing.

I have to say customer service was quick and responsive but they confirmed that my only 2 options were to apply for a refund or buy another package limiting me to 500mb per day.

I chose the refund option as I was pretty fed up with the whole thing but was told that since it was a digital setvie no refund will be entertained. But they will submit for review and contact me in a few days time.

I bought 2 esim and was money down the drain. All the reviews were pretty good for holafly when i checked but unfortunately for me it was completely unusable.

Update :

Customer service contacted me and I got about a 60% refund for both esim that i bought. I have to commend their helpdesk for providing a quick and easy resolution. However, my advise to everyone would be to have a backup plan. Arriving in Vietnam with all the good reviews I thought it would be seamless but it left me stranded without connectivities and had to resort back to paying my telco roaming charges. Services was disappointing but it somewhat madeup by their customer service.

I was in Vietnam and used Holafly as my e-sim while there because I’d used them previously in Turkey where it was great. The payment and activation process is fast and easy, so there is no difficulty in getting it to work on my iPhone 12. It was, however, disappointing the coverage and speed i was getting while in Vietnam. My other travel companions used local sim cards and had a much better experience.
The reason I still give them 4/5 stars is because of their amazing customer service in dealing with my bad experience. I’ll probably use them again.

To be fair. Buying and installing is super fast and easy as well. I bought an e-sim for Vietnam. 30 days 69€. So far so good. I arrived in Hanoi and had instant 4G internet. That worked exactly for 2 days and i didnt used it to much. After the 2 days it turned into 3G or no connection. Iam now in Vietnam for 15 days and sry but this esim maybe because Vietnam is absolut useless. My Girlfriend bought an local Sim for 12€ an she had 4GB Traffic every day with LTE. Defined not recommended for Vietnam.

We bought a SIM card for our trip to Vietnam (32€ for 5gb) and followed the instructions carefully - only activate the card once there.

First of all, it never worked. And secondly, after talking to several customer agents, nobody was able to solve the issue. Cherry on top, they never agreed to give us our money back.

Airalo solved our issue in a manner of seconds and we used their iSIM product which was way less expensive for a better service. Also, we spent a couple of days in Cambodia where Airalo did not work properly, and after reaching out to their customer service, they reimbursed us right away.

We sincerely were not happy with Holafly’s service and product and do not recommend it.
