Apart from having the most likely wheelchair to benefit my circumstances, the staff I dealt with were so helpful. They may not have the flashiest showroom but of the places I tried, they were by far the best for the test drive experience, the product knowledge and the general feeling of them wanting to do right by you.

Gave me my independence back
I ordered the Voyager 185 wheelchair, having returned a similar chair from another manufacturer, which got me stuck at the bottom of a camber repeatedly and they couldn't find a fault (when you have to do 3 right turns instead of a left, SOMETHING is wrong)!
Anyway, we took my new Etech Voyager out for it's first spin, and I am so impressed! The camber still runs away with you a bit, but with this chair I can steer out of it without my husband having to disengage the motor and push me out!
We've taken it out in a few scenarios now, and I wish I'd gone with this one the first time.
Thank you. I feel like I now have my independence back and I can get out to places I haven't been able to go in a long time.

I bought a new Pink Freedom Pro ST to…
I bought a new Pink Freedom Pro ST to replace my wife’s 5 year old well used and well travelled electric wheelchair. She’s over the moon as the new one is so more comfortable with a higher back and extra power compared to her old wheelchair. It is early days yet but we look forward to getting many years reliable service from her new wheelchair. I ordered the wheelchair on the Monday and it was delivered on the Tuesday so no complaints. One slight concern was unlike her old wheelchair we can’t remove the controller when we take it on a plane etc, however following advice from Etech before we bought it we were told other users remove it still connected and stow it under the seat and then fold the wheelchair ready for it to go in the planes hold. Her other wheelchair had long batteries stowed in the frame which were easy to remove to fly but were cumbersome to stow in the overhead locker, the new wheelchair batteries can easily be removed, carried on the plane and easily stowed.

Chair is brilliant
Chair is brilliant. Had an issue with one of the footplates and a replacement was delivered the next day. Not an issue at all, these things happen. The fault footplate was then collected at a date that was convenient to me. Very responsive to queries and helpful. Directed me to generic solutions when they didn’t sell something and checked in on how things were after they had offered support.
Most definitely would recommend. Am taking my chair to a friend of a friend to demo as she wants to purchase and we are too far from showroom.

Generally with some deficiencies is a decent chair
Contact with the company was good and questions were answered well. The chair I purchased was a Y20 Luxe – Ultra-Light Multi-Terrain Powerchair with a 19 inch seat. The chair fits well in a normal house with 27 inch doors which was a great improvement over my larger chair. On my travels outdoors I found the chair speed not to exceed 5 kmh and often when on a camber the chair often went to either the right or left with ease. putting me in direction of the street. I have also found difficulty with power at times when facing the same issue and need to push off with my one good leg to get moving. The joystick is a tad erractic and herky jerky but can be lived with. I am satisfied with the chair as eventually it will be an indoor chair only. It is good money for value. Other issues may be worked out over time. At the moment, I will live with any short comings as over all the chair is satisfactory.
