Ben is a great mechanic, he came highly recommended. He completed a oil service and replacement timing belt and water pump on my Seat Ateca today, a pretty major job. He explained everything and was very reasonable in terms of costs. I highly recommend and will use Ben in future for all my vehicular needs.

Ben was great, so pleased we’ve found him. I am a mechanic myself but needed to find someone that could look after my daughters car as she lives a three hours drive from us so I can’t always deal with issues myself.
Ben was friendly , communication was always reliable. He turned up as promised and diagnosed the issue quickly ( seized alternator). Within a couple of hours a new alternator was sourced and fitted. Will definitely use in the future.

I experienced Ben as friendly, knowledgeable and competitively priced. He replaced the wet cambelt on my car; this is a big job. He worked throughout the day and was happy to explain the procedure when I asked questions. He did a great job, however, I experienced an issue the following day with the car, and Ben came first thing the day after to remedy the issue. These things happen, but I have not always experienced providers so efficient when called back. I will defiantly be reaching out to Ben for any further works I need doing on the car. I experienced him as trustworthy, and that's something I value greatly!

I have used Etherington’s before for a new clutch install, and on this occasion for a timing chain and VVT gear replacement.
Both jobs were carried out on my driveway by Ben who showed up on time and did an excellent job on my Mini.
I would a 100% recommend Etheringtons for any repair work on your vehicle, their pricing is very competitive and Ben’s knowledge and skills are top notch.

Ben is a very capable chap. He's conscientious and very tidy when carrying out the work. Also, comes over as a bright and engaging guy. I run an Auto diagnostics business so I meet a lot of people in the auto industry, many of them seem to lack any interest in what they do, Ben on the other hand seems to have a real passion for what he does. Highly recommended.

Ben was recommended to me by a friend. This was the first time i had used Ben's services (Annual Van service, filters and diagnostic check) I was very impressed. No nonsense attitude. Very thourough. He gave me a full run down of work undertaken and a summary of brake wear, tyre depth and diagnostic check findings How refreshing to find a genuine tradesman these days. I would 100% use his services again and recommend his services to others.

Nothing but amazing things to say! after being told numerous times by other garages that my engine was just noisy, i booked to get a timing chain with Ben! after inspection Ben clearly showed me the issue and explained it to ensure i understood! Now i can enjoy having my windows down and not listen to horrible ticking! will definitely be recommending to all friends and family!

Good communication throughout and agreed a very competitive price.
Ben arrived exactly when he said he would and immediately set about the task of replacing the 3008 flywheel and clutch on my tiny drive.
He showed me the the damaged, ill functioning flywheel and worn clutch he had taken off and the quality new parts he had supplied to be fitted.
He completed the job charging me significantly less than quoted me by the garage and took less time and I didn't have to drive to the garage to leave the car overnight - Ben came to me whilst I busied myself around the house. (He also checked and topped up the engine oil as the filler cap had been left off from a recent service).
Personable, knowledgeable, efficient and an all-round excellent, value-for-money service deserving of a full, fat, five stars.
Etherington Autos will now be my first point of call, as he should be yours. Try him and see if you don't agree with me.

He is a competent, no nonsense, honest and reliable mechanic.

Ben was very helpful in discovering the initial fault. Unfortunately, on correcting that, further, more expensive issues arose which have yet to be resolved.

Had the clutch and flywheel replaced on my C4Picasso and was very impressed by the way Ben managed the whole procedure. One week later I am delighted by the smooth running and quieter journeys. Thoroughly recommend Ben to sort out any major mechanicals.
