First, I choose to not pursue with this company after two visits. The arrogance of the "doctor/advisor/salesperson" keeping on telling me that "they" are the best and they make sure you know about because of experience. I have no doubt of their offered quality and experience. I am not criticizing at all the technicians, the surgeons, their work, only the two advisors, I met in the Frankfurt office, who only want to conclude a sale, not really explain the ‘what is what’ of their choice.
If I was offered to ask questions, I did not get any satisfying answers as it resumed "they" are the "best", there are professional, and know better, etc... But not only it is a lot of money for IOLs, once the choice is made, there is no return ... or without consequences. Twice, I did not find an ear, a wish to listen to the customer and so this review. I do recommend that you educate yourself, talk to an open doctor who will listen to you. It is important, an important journey.

I had an ICL surgery at EuroEyes in Düsseldorf at the end of June 2025.

TLDR: good experience, 100% vision, would recommend.

Long story, for those who might be (understandably!) anxious about such a scary procedure:

The surgery was preceded by some consultations and an in-depth (3 or so hours long) examination. I've asked a million questions and was thoroughly briefed on risks and benefits. Special thanks to the staff for effortlessly switching to English for me, as I definitely do not speak enough German for such a complicated conversation.

The surgery itself was very quick (I believe the estimate given was 7-ish minutes per eye, but it felt much faster), totally painless, and absolutely not scary, even though I expected it to be. I've watched the bright light float straight in front of me for a little while, and that was basically my entire experience. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating throughout, and the surgeon calmly talked me through the procedure, giving me something to focus on as I laid there. I was sent home maybe twenty minutes after. The clinic provided me with very dark sunglasses, which were very much needed on a sunny day in June.

The first evening was extremely blurry (I saw as if through murky water), and my eyes felt a little raw. Strong light sensitivity lingered for maybe 3-4 days. I didn't really have any pain, overly dry eyes, or any other discomfort past the first evening. I was prescribed some anti-inflammatory eye drops and some moisturizing ones to administer daily for two weeks. I was also given eye shields to sleep in for the first few days, and detailed instructions on recovery do's and don't's.

My vision started improving in a day or two. I went to a few control examinations, the first being the morning after, the last a month after. In a week my vision was 100% on both eyes.

It's been two and a half months now, and so far I am very happy with the results. I've been wearing glasses since I was 13 or so, and I am now 30. No longer needing them feels amazing! All the little annoyances — like being unable to watch a movie while lying on my side, because my glasses would cut into the side of my head; or having the glasses fog over when entering a building; or forgetting the glasses at home and having to rush back mid-commute — are now gone. I can confidently say my quality of life improved quite a bit. I do see thin halos around some very bright lights, but they are hardly distracting or detrimental.

So, yeah. I'd definitely recommend the procedure, and this place.

EURO EYES REVIEW

My EuroEyes journey began around November/December 2015, and in January 2016 I had both eyes operated on in Hamburg, Germany, by the CEO and owner, Dr. Jørn Jørgensen. I was fitted with multifocal lenses, and the procedure was a complete success.

Recently, I visited EuroEyes’ new flagship premises in Knightsbridge, London. The clinic is extremely impressive – modern, high-tech, and offering superb service. Nearly 10 years on, my eyesight remains excellent, both near and far. At 75 years old, that is something I’m truly grateful for.

To my amazement, Dr. Jørgensen himself was in London that day. It was a real pleasure to meet him again and personally thank him for giving me such excellent vision.

Would I recommend EuroEyes? Absolutely – 100%. For professionalism, expertise, and aftercare, they are simply the best. Thank you, EuroEyes!

I am an eye surgeon,I've had presbyopia and I've started wearing my reading glasses. It was very uncomfortable! Especially when working in an eye clinic and when communicating with patients, which you suggest to take off glasses. Eventually, I found a little break from work during the Chinese New year holiday and decided to have a lens exchange surgery - replacing my own lens and implant trifocal lens. I trust to Dr. J.Joergensen - he is professional surgeon and the best specialist. The surgery on both eyes was very fast, painless and after 15 minutes I felt like a completely different person - independent of glasses! It was the best birthday present for me! I am grateful to Dr. Jorgensen personally and all the staff of the Euroeyes clinic - they are the best specialists in their field!

I had a terrible experience at the EuroEyes, Munich. The lady who was supposed to see me kept me waiting for over 15 minutes while she was on a seemingly personal call. She did not even acknowledge my presence or apologize for the delay and I had to leave with out the consultation. I felt very disrespected and irritated by her lack of professionalism and courtesy. I had to travel 5 hours just for the appointment and I felt like I wasted my time and money.

After speaking with the Munich Euroeyes people, I do not have anything but recommend them for the professional service they provided to me and my girlfriend.

1,5 month ago I got new lenses for both eyes at Euroeyes Frankfurt. It was on my mind for quite some time, but after the consultation and meeting the doctors and teammembers it immediately felt good. The operation was smooth and without pain. Dr. Johannes Gonnermann was very reassuring and during the whole process I felt like I was in good hands.
Overall, I am very gratefull and want to thank the doctor and staff again.

After 2'5 years I am still completely satisfied. The lenses feel like mine own already, with which I read my e- books, write my e-mails and enjoy my virtual and analogue existence. Thank you, Euroeyes.

I cannot tell you how happy I am for having gone through the multo-focal lense operation. Everyone, from the information team to the clinic staff, went out of his way to work honestly and fantastically. Only a week, and I can already see far and near. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend this clinic ( I am in Munich) to anyone suffering from poor sight.
