Very poor service, no help once you have received a faulty product

I purchased a canon 70D with 18-135mm STM kit lens. The shipping company parcel force delayed the delivery but that was not expedites fault. Yes, buying from here will be much cheaper then UK stores as these will be shipped from Hong Kong, this shouldn't put you off to much as generally speaking it's still from the same company. Be warned anything on this site will be considered a grey import so any warranty won't be covered in the UK by the original manufacturers.

After using and rigorous testing the camera I found I had numerous issues with front, back focusing and sharpness. The kit lens managed to improve from around 50% to 90% once I used the in camera micro adjustment. However, I tried many other lenses and I found the camera body to not function well to an acceptable level.

Believe me I tested it thoroughly, placed it on a table, put a delay on the shutter button, used bright indoor consistent lighting and found the in camera micro adjustment can't always fix these problems as it's quite limited. I came to the conclusion the body was faulty and I either need to calibrate all the lens or the body needs some adjusting. This is where the problems began as Canon will not help due to being a grey import. I emailed expedite to either get a refund of exchange for a canon 7D MII. I only got a reply they'll look into it but weeks later I've emailed several times with no reply!

I'm quite sure they are deliberately ignoring in the hopes that I'll forget about it! I honestly do suggest going elsewhere as it will be very difficult to get assistance once you have issues. This has been a poor experience and I'm looking into contacting PayPal in the hopes that maybe they can help, though I'm not sure if they can do anything as the item did arrived but it's faulty.

Really impressed

I read some of the comments regarding tracking codes. i was sent one and yes it did not work immediately because Parcelforce had not got the parcel. When they did the parcel was tracked. The product arrived quicky, (3 days), and I have no complaints at all. From what I have experienced great Service and great price. I would certainly use again.

Avoid Expedite Electronics at all Costs!!! I can't understand the 5* reviews

Please please avoid this company. I don't say this lightly, I'm genuinely not someone who likes to complain, and clearly some people have received their goods and have been happy, but if anything goes wrong at all, you may not be able to resolve it.
I ordered a Microsoft Surface Pro computer in August from Expedite and never received it. What I did do wrong, was failing to check my invoice early enough, as when I wondered why I hadn't received the computer and looked at the invoice, I discovered that a rogue shipping address with someone I didn't know had been entered onto it.
I contacted that person (as his mobile rather than mine was on the invoice), to see how something like this could possibly have happened as I'm a regular internet shopper and have never seen anything like it at all. I asked if he had ordered the same computer thinking this might have been how there had been an error.
He said that he had never ordered anything from Expedite. I asked if he used PayPal, he said no. It was very strange, he said all he had done was enter his details on their website, as he was looking for a computer for his girlfriend but never ordered one because she was leaving the country and it wouldn't have got there on time.
He did not seem surprised when I asked him about the computer, and said that he told Expedite the computer arrived in error, and was surprised they had not resolved it and sent me a new one.
Other than having his telephone number and address on my invoice, I have no idea who the person was that received the computer - but I have personally never received anything from them since I made the order two months ago in August. I waited 2 months as there was assumption that I had somehow created this problem - but it had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with me at all, other than me failing to check the invoice and find the rogue entry earlier.
I have had contact with the UK customer service people at Expedite, who were actually very nice, and sympathetic, took responsibility for the error, but could not get China to respond sensibly. Why? because in essence, they're simply a CALL CENTRE with no power at all and all they could say was that they would ask China to respond and were sorry, just passing messages on.
Well, China kept responding by saying they were trying to pick up 'your computer' from the person it was sent to in error and that I should be patient. Why should I when it actually had nothing to do with me?
Two months later - this is the worst internet shopping nightmare I've ever been through. I spent over £500 and have never received the computer from the seller. Reading the other reviews here, I became concerned that if it ever did arrive eventually, there was a risk it was likely to be damaged.
Expedite in China did not send me another computer despite it simply going AWOL and when it became obvious nothing was going to happen, I just asked for the money back, but the UK customer then just stopped responding at all, having promised to keep on top of it.
Nothing further then happened at all.
Why?
Here comes the worst part that has driven me to review this company - this is what happened next.
I took it up with PayPal and I was told that the computer was sent to the shipping address I supplied!
Oh my goodness what??!!
Paypal have then said 'sorry there's nothing we can do'.
It's completely outrageous!!!
They claimed that the shipping address came from my IP address - which is totally impossible, and I could prove that the man who received it actually went on Expedite's website on the same night I did, and that I never knew him, so that some weird transposition must have happened at the point of payment.
So there I was, more than £500 light, with no goods and in a mad nightmare with emails from Expedite in the UK accepting that it was not a mistake of my making, but Expedite not supplying me with the goods I paid for, as they sent it to another address of someone I don't know and would not replace it.
I was so upset by the predicament I was in - like one of those crazy movies where the IT has all gone wrong, they've removed your identity in one flip of the switch, but no-one believes you...
I was then told I had to amend this review as it apparently contained accusations.
In the meantime, I realised that the only way I could resolve this since I wasn't going to get a refund or a new computer, was to telephone the man who had received it in error and arrange and pay for a courier myself to pick it up from his address.
He had left it all in the packaging.
I do finally have this computer now, having paid some £45 or so to interlink pick it up from a perfect stranger who was nice enough to stay in for the pick up - he would actually have been entitled to keep the computer as an 'unsolicited gift'.
There's still some decency in the world.

I now see that Expedite are trying to say they have no record of me. Please know that I have provided substantiating evidence of my invoice to Trustpilot and have no intention of allowing myself to be dismissed or bullied.

Really really bad after sale customer service

Submitted my phone for a warranty repair for two problems. One was the main problem, the other was a secondary problem. Their website said can take up to 28 days but I thought that was the worst case scenario and it'd be returned much sooner. They took over 4 weeks before they said had fixed the secondary problem with no mention of the primary problem fix. When I asked them if they could confirm whether they fixed the primary problem they delayed and stalled and were extremely evasive. I finally got my phone back after 8 and half weeks and only after chasing them numerous times. Further, the back panel of the phone had been scratched from where they had used tools to fix the phone. It looks like a complete rookie job.

I'd never use them again. Their warranty repair is rubbish and slow. Their customer service and way they handle tickets and updating customers is by far the worst I've ever seen. Do yourself a favour, spend a bit more and buy from a company that take customer service more seriously.

Good Price - Good Service

Galaxy Note 4
Can't fault this purchase. The package arrived two days earlier than their 7 day estimate.

Samsung box was sealed and contained a UK charger.

This is the same level of service I'd expect from a UK High Street retailer.

Casio Pro-trek watch

I have been buying a Casio Pro-trek watch from Expeditelectronics. But they gave me a fake tracking number. After a few days I saw the tracking number from Parcelforce showing the parcel had arrived and been signed by someone else. I had to contact customer service of Expeditelectronics and they said the parcel had arrived and possibly "your neighbour" signed it. Actually Parcelforce never and ever send a signed for parcel to neighbours at my area. Then they gave me a gps point showing where the parcel was delivered to and let me to find my parcel by my self. I have carefully checked the gps information and it pointed to a rubbish bins area. I was so angry and contacted them again but they did nothing else. They didn't agree to send a replacement one or issue refund. I felicitated that I made payment via PayPal so that I was able to file a claim from PayPal. Finally I was issued refund by PayPal. Expeditelectronics then never contacted me anymore and deleted my account from their website with no explanation. If I made payment via their website directly, I would never have my money back. I have never seen such a rubbish seller. All I said is truth I promise.

Shockingly BAD Company - AVOID!!!

I bought a Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. They sent me a faulty phone. I sent it back and almost 2 months later they still hadn't repaired it. They have a UK call centre that is horrendously inept. Everything is actually done in Hong Kong where from they communicate with you via a web interface, responding to messages infrequently. Be warned, if there is a problem with the item they send you then you are in for a world of anger and frustration. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Wish I'd seen the reviews here before ordering.

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini from Expedite Electronics as they were cheaper than anywhere else and appeared to have good reviews on another site. After 10 days the phone stopped working, so I contacted them to arrange for a replacement. A week has gone by and they have still not got back to me about how to return it. Their customer sevice is absolutely awful when a product is faulty, which judging from some of the other reviews is quite a common occurrence.
Please be aware that this is a Hong Kong based company and it is not possible to contact them directly. The UK call centre can only log your complaint in their system and wait for an email reply. They cannot or will not forward your call to the company directly. I would advise anyone to only buy form a UK based company and not be lured in by the thought of getting a bargain. There is a reason their prices are cheap.

Pleased with my purchase :-)

I purchased a metal G-shock watch from here and it arrived as promised within 5 days. I had read conflicting reviews about this site online so paid using Paypal linked to my credit card just in case.

Was really happy that I took the chance and am pleased that i saved a few hundred quid of my purchase price.

very glad with my purchase

I recently purchased sony Sony SEL-55F18Z lens for my alph 7 camera. It is selling for £659 in amazon, and the best price i could found is from expeditelectronics from £445. It was too good to believe, so I read all reviews of this site in the past 6 months. There're mixed views towards the service, but overall rating is still good. I decided to give it a try. I placed order on 15/09, paid by paypal. two days later, i received despatch confirm on 17/09 with parcelforce tracking number. But I couldn't really track down the number on parcelforce site. Today, on 21/09, the package arrived. Lens is sealed in the box. everything is so perfect. Very happy with this purchase. I hope this will be helpful to any potential customer.

No Problems At All

Buying from a somewhat unknown company is a bit of a concern, especially for such a considered purchase such as a digital SLR camera. However, with PayPal as a payment option it gives you the confidence that you have a certain amount of protection.
As it turns out I needn't have been concerned as my order was delivered very promptly and the camera was a genuine UK model exactly as shown on the website.
I would definitely use them again.

Safe, legit, cool, cheap, top prices.

Ordered phone, way cheaper on site, than in shops here in UK. Came from Hong Kong, took a week - when in UK it was with parcel force. Phone arrived, genuine Sony, accessories, everything. No problems with phone. No faults with seller.

Avoid purchasing any Phones

I Purchased a Samsung Alpha phone from Expeditae Electronics over £100 cheaper than anywhere else. After 2-3 weeks the phone did a software upgrade. From this point the phone kept crashing. After doing a hard re-set the problem still persisted. I called Samsung as its has a 2 yr warranty and took it to their Samsung Store. Samsung checked the phone and said the phone Software has been tampered with and they will invalidate any warranty. They showed me the message on the phone that ways 'VOID' clearly. When i purchased the Phone from Expedite, it arrived Brand New with Seal intact ! Clearly they are selling something not right here. I contacted Expedite and they said they cover phones themselves with a 1 yr warranty , so the samsung warranty is not worth anything ! I was also told the phones are from Hong Kong but Samsung told me the phone originated from Germany! Is the phone a FAKE was my question? They did a pretty good job sealing with tamper proof seals to make it look new. A Returns was raised and its been 2 weeks since i returned my phone to them and still no refund or contact from them. My advise is always pay with a Credit Card as you can call your Credit card company for up to 6 years after purchase to sort things out should you not be satisfied. I am still waiting for a refund as I am definitely not accepting goods that have been tampered with ! And will not use them again no matter how much of a cost saving there is.

Very pleased with service

Bought a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge from them for £436 which was £260 cheaper than Samsung wanted for it.

I was a bit worried about it, but after going through Paypal I knew I'd have their buyer protection so wasn't too bothered.

Got an email with a Parcelforce tracking number and it turned up after about 5 working days. It has a UK plug and the IMEI and serial number tie up with Samsung. Very pleased with the service and I'll happily buy from them again.

AVOID....AWFUL

ORDERED SAMSUNG S6 DUAL SIM AND HANDSET WAS DISPATCHED BUT DELAYED BY PARCEL FORCE FOR 1 WEEK. WHEN ITEM WAS RECEIVED IT WAS A SINGLE SIM HANDSET. FOR 1 WEEK NO ONE FROM THEIR SO CALLED HEAD OFFICE BOTHERED IN REPLYING TO THE EMAILS. KEPT CALLING THEIR CALL CENTER AND GOT CHARGED PREMIUM RATE NUMBER AND COSTED ME £25 ALREADY FOR CALLING THE CALL CENTER BUT NO ONE HAS RESOLVED THE ISSUE. STILL NO REPLY AND GOING TO CONTACT CREDIT CARD / PAYPAL TO DISPUTE TRANSACTION.
AVOID AT ANY COST.
