Hein and Helene prepared a program tailored to our group dynamics and desire for faith and culture experience. Their heart for mission and passion for service is Holy Spirit led and empowered.

Experience Mission has set up an excellent program. They are very accommodating and are there to better you, the people around you, and the experience others will have after you. They are so open to questions, critiques, and your emotions. This is a great company to experience missions with.

The Immersion experience made it so evident that we all are brothers and sisters in Christ. Through the immersion into a culture, so different from your own, and the opportunity to be apart of a Lord loving team, your concept of God, his character, and how he works, will be expanded exponentially. Something the company is doing well, is creating a space and an opportunity for people to serve mindfully and lovingly. Experience mission does a good job of keeping missionaries from a savior complex, and teaches us how to function in a mindset of how can I spread the Lords love through how we walk in the world. A word commonly used by my team to describe our time in Costa Rica was compartir; meaning, to share. We share in the spreading of and community within the Lord’s love via service, but especially via relationships, conversation, and community.

Great trip - so easy to plan, prepare, and enjoy. The community was so welcoming, and the experience was one of a kind!

I went on the 3-month mission trip to Costa Rica with Experience Mission and had an incredible experience. Their connections with the local partners in Costa Rica were solid, and the staff back in the States were always supportive. They care about your experience and equip you well at training, in addition to helping you process your trip at debrief.

I would 100% recommend taking the opportunity to join an EM trip. It is such a privilege to be a part of. As you are immersed into a new culture and are pulled out of your comfort zone you will open up so many new areas of growth in your life. The staff does an amazing job of prepping you for your time abroad with training, providing weekly check-ins, and a debrief at the conclusion of the trip. This is an experience you will never regret jumping into and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to join Experience Mission for this season of my life!

The best three months of my life genuinely. I cannot wait for 6 more months with them. I’ve learned so much and grown in so many ways through this experience. The EM staff is amazing and really care about each person on these trips, they are so personal and kind. I wouldn’t change a thing about my decision!

I experienced so much growth in my relationship with Jesus! Going around the world with people you've never met can be terrifying, but speaking from experience it was so so worth it! I love how you are completely immersed in the culture and get to see how people from another culture live their lives. They do an awesome job preparing you for this experience and really giving you the tools you need to make this experience so impactful for you!

Experience Mission is a wonderful group that has a big heart for service. They connected us with wonderful community partners who live lives to serve in their communities. The experience is completely different than any I've ever had. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to step out of their comfort zone!

I would say this experience has grown me spiritually and mentally. I have grown a lot as a person and it is all thanks to the Lord and experienced missions.

I liked the work there. Costa Rica is a beautiful place that I wish we got to explore a little bit more than we actually did. I will miss my host family

I had the pleasure of interning for Experience Mission this summer in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. Experience Mission has been one of the biggest blessings recently in my life. Their staff is so helpful and so equipping the interns for work during the summer. Their heart for missions has been one of the best I have seen. It has been such a sweet time learning from the way they do short term missions and engage the world in a way that loves others and glorifies the Lord!

I had a great experience with Experience Mission this summer as an intern. The training we completed in May prepared us well in a broad sense for what we would encounter on the field. Though it was our first time doing ministry in this area, we were able to establish new partnerships and build upon what God was already doing in the ministries in the city. I am thankful that we were able to stay with the teams in the church and cook their meals throughout the week. It was stretching and challenging to be entrusted with so much responsibility over so many team members, but we were able to lead them well as we trusted God’s direction. Everyday looked different, and every week posed its own challenges and excitements, so we were constantly relying on God for wisdom and guidance. One of the things that would have improved our experience was more supervision over team dynamics apart from the Trip Coordinator’s responsibility to mediate and oversee the basic issues. It would be helpful to have more of a supervising presence when running into problems and boundaries. However, I know that part of the job is being responsible for each other as a team, so I do not know if this could be changed. Apart from that, I think Experience Mission did well at preparing us for teams, besides a few run-ins we had with miscommunications about PEX cards and Kids Club materials. I would recommend the internship to other people, and I will definitely be prayerfully considering my return for next summer!

Experience Mission’s ministry is 5 stars. Their Summer Internship program is an inspiring leadership opportunity that refines character and strengthens faith. Every single EM staff member shines a genuine example of servanthood. I feel blessed to have worked with this incredible organization and recommend their ministry in highest regards.

Our Youth Group team of 22 had an amazing mission trip to Navajo Nation, New Mexico! The EM staff, Paul and Sarah were fantastic! Everything was as expected when we arrived, the worksites and people served were memorable. Expectations were surpassed! I would wholeheartedly recommend EM and would plan another mission trip in the future. Excellent organization and people doing God’s work.

I really enjoy the basis of relationships the company emphasizes on. It is an eye-opening experience to meet all these different people from all over the world in different walks of life, and to see that they too are just people. You relate and connect with them and see that you’re not so different after all. You hear their testimonies, see their struggles and their strengths, and you grow as you start to get a bigger and better understanding of God and how He’s at work all over the world

Embracing a new culture with little to no expectations was a freeing experience and allowed God to be so present and used in such a beautiful way. Sometimes things seem disorganized but it makes it more fun that way.

Going through Immersion is very challenging but worth it if you allow it to be. You will learn how to be flexible, how to serve even when it’s hard, and how to love. You will learn about different cultures and how they live and you will learn how to see God in different parts of the world.

this was the most beautiful, challenging, joyful, stressful, meaningful, surrending experience of my life!
