Yet another disappointing experience in mainland Europe

I am trying to source a discontinued Metz hot shoe for a camera and flash. I have found what I want in the Czech Republic (this company), Greece and the Netherlands. in each case the vendor seem to have a very narrow, blinkered and parochial world view and simply refuses, with no explanation, to despatch outside the home country. So much for the EU and the free movement of people and goods. I find this very, very regrettable.
