Great price and Great service
the price i was quoted for my first year with them was very good and my renewal for the second year was also much lower than any other insurer, i had to speak to them to update my payment details for the renewal and i got through to a representative very quickly and he was able to amend my details without any drama or fuss and was very polite and friendly.

Poor complaint handling and unclear customer outcome
I took out a motorcycle insurance policy through Express Insurance Services, underwritten by Aviva, in November 2025.
After moving to a nearby address within the same postcode area, I contacted Express to update my details. The extra premium quoted was nearly £300 for the remaining six months. For comparison, making the same change on my other bike only cost £60.19 in total. I also obtained an alternative quote from Hastings of £180 for a full new 12 month policy, which highlights how disproportionate the increase felt.
I understand insurers price risk differently, but my concern is how unclear everything was, how the complaint was handled, and how responsibility was passed around.
When I first asked about cancelling, I was told I’d get around £45 back and pay a £50 cancellation fee. Later, Express said there wouldn’t be a fee after all. I was also told they don’t continue policies with dual cover, but no one clearly explained whether that’s an Express rule, an Aviva requirement, or part of the policy.
I raised a complaint and followed up, but my emails were mostly ignored until Express said they’d passed pricing to Aviva and then closed their complaint as a final response.
That doesn’t address Express’s side — the conflicting cancellation info, unclear dual-cover explanation, lack of replies, or complaint handling. It also doesn’t cover whether my vulnerability disclosure was properly recorded.
I told them I have ADHD and asked for clear written explanations and transparent calculations, but I still haven’t had proper answers.
Overall, this hasn’t felt like a good customer outcome. The process has been frustrating and unclear, and I’m considering taking it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Based on my experience, I’d be cautious about using Express Insurance Services unless you’re confident you won’t need to make changes mid-policy or rely on clear complaint handling.
