Worst experience both with product and customer service. Would never buy ezviz product again.
Purchased the DB1 doorbell and love it

EZVIZ DB-1 Doorbell makes a better…
EZVIZ DB-1 Doorbell makes a better doorstop because that’s all it’s good for! I bought mine in August 2021 after reading a very favorable review in PC Mag that crowed about how EZVIZ didn’t hook you for subscription fees for the video feed on the doorbell camera. Nice feature! Chime didn’t work that great—got a ding but no dong—but that was a minor complaint. Picture was OK, phone features worked OK on the App. Annoying PIR alerts were remedied by turning off notifications in settings (bugs, birds cars & trucks constantly setting it off.) Big trouble came when Verizon reset my ancient Actiontec router while turning off a Premium channel! Lo & behold! Mr. Doorbell went into Critical Failure and is still in the ICU and has never recovered, and I dare say he is now a vegetable just hooked up to wires but brain dead waiting for someone to take mercy and pull the plug. If you are the sad owner of an EZVIZ product beware the dreaded “Critical Failure”! The chances you will ever a.) reach Hong Kong for help or b.) have Hong Kong get back to you and honestly make an attempt to assist getting your equipment working again is nearly nonexistent. I’ve not found ANY evidence of this happening. I wish the attorney general would go after EZVIZ Co. for fraudulent business practices. They are SO awful they should not be allowed to operate in the U.S. Their chat line is a joke. I deleted my App and reinstalled it hoping to fix problem but guide wouldn’t load! Said: Contact Customer Support to obtain new product manual. When I did I got a message saying: “Sorry, can’t help you now. We are on vacation for A FEW WEEKS!” (Everything grinds to a halt in Hong Kong for Chinese New Year??!) A week later I got an email requesting the ubiquitous photos and info (you read about in all the other reviews) about why my doorbell will no longer configure. I complied: Error message says my Wi-Fi is insecure b/c it uses Temporal Key Internet Protocol (TPIK)security system. It was working with that for the 3 months I had it hooked up so why the sudden change? I’m guessing an update they did to address the10 million EZVIZ security cameras with vulnerabilities that were recently discovered had them scurrying to do a patch and they knocked a bunch of us off our Wi-Fi network. Customer Service is hiding out now. They have no answers! After I sent what they asked for I got my message returned “Mailbox Full.”There’s a surprise. NOT! Let’s put these crooks out of business. Spread the word. Anybody remember Lily Thomlin’s snorting phone operator? One Ringy dingy…“Hello? Is this EZVIZ? Do you have Prince Albert in a can?” Oh would I love to get even! One problem, though: THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER!!
Suddenly, a couple bucks a month for a subscription plan—especially when it’s with a reputable vendor with an excellent track record, good customer service and good security—seems like maybe it’s worth it, after all.
“Hello? Ring?”
Beware
Supplier, 'Direct Smart Home', supplied incorrect cameras and then I had a devil of a job getting a refund.
Buyer beware if dealing with this company
Awful
Awful. 4 cameras all are garbage and useless. Don't waste your money
Great thanks
Was good now rubbish
2018ish got 2 cameras and not being tech friendly needed ezviz help. Then camera & help got 9.9 just bit sensitive cameras stop a 10.......Just got 2x c8w and they buffer & freeze affecting other cameras. went to Ezviz that I thought so good I recommended shop to sell there items. DONT bother no help and now the 1 star is I cant zero them. I hope I can return
Buyer be ware!
What a horrible company! My experience was that this is a very poor quality camera that has stoped working after only being used a few times (during travel periods) and the even worse customer service I am receiving when requesting assistance provided their poor workmanship.
Bought a camera and after only using it 4 times it stopped working. I went through a 40 minute trouble shooting process with their phone representative whom advised me that because. They can’t fix it I need to submit a video.
I submitted the video, and 2 weeks later without any response I had to follow-up again.
Still no response after nearly 6 weeks of camera not working.
Why I can't get money from your program?
We have a selection of ezviz cameras
We have a selection of ezviz cameras. The cameras are good and do what they say. They can be cheap to buy if looking around which is what we did.
The only down side is Customer service is shockingly bad. So money making is the priority of this company not the customer.
It's handy to have an SD card option. After a while the SD cards do fail to work or need formatting.
The problem with the SD card is that the computer cannot play the footage as it's new technology.
I have contacted customer service to see if I could download the app on the computer and watch back the footage? So far I've heard nothing. Chances are - probably not.
This must be the worst doorbell ever
This must be the worst doorbell ever, do not purchase. Customer service awful. It just doesn't work. When someone rings the doorbell it refuses to connect, I can't explain how bad this is. It will let me look at the video after the person has left but what is the purpose of that. Do not purchase, you will regret it.
So far so bad
So far this camera is the worst camera I have had in my life. The only thing any good is the picture. It has very limited yet confusing settings and when the notification comes up for movement (which seems to be random) it's hard to actually see what it was as the app is so unorganised and messy.
Most of the time it doesn't notify when there is movement so there's not much point.
It is like a cheap camera for an expensive price.
Great cameras for the price
Great cameras for the price, with good quality videos. App works well. Only downside for me is that you can't record to your own NAS or cloud location - just SD cards or to the subscription EZVIZ cloud.
These rubbish cameras have missed my…
These rubbish cameras have missed my car being broken in twice as they no longer film continuously. When they was installed they was perfect they ran 24/7 and let you know when there was movement. Now they only record when it believes there is movement and half the time they are not picking of the movement. Waste of time the apps rubbish and you need to be a rocket scientist to understand it. Avoid!!!!
The cameras and doorbell are relatively…
The cameras and doorbell are relatively alright when they work. Customer service sucks though. Asking for photos of things to show what does or doesn't work. Then asking for serial numbers (even though they have already been provided with them). I've only had a a couple of issues but this latest one I've been trying to resolve since August. I would replace with a different brand but it would cost me too much. Do not buy there stuff, go elsewhere.
Bought a camera which was great BUT
Bought a camera which was great, unfortunately the adapter was faulty. Emailed them and we were tooing and froing, they were asking questions asking for photos and serial numbers etc. They eventually told me that adapters were considered an accessory (even though it came with and powers the camera and without it it won’t work!) and that there was nothing they could do.
I told them right at the very beginning that the adapter was the issue yet the still ask for all the other info knowing that it was a waste of time. Why not tell me at the beginning rather than keep asking for info!! Now I’ve got to source and buy another one when it’s only a couple of months old. Crap service
Impossible to reconnect once we moved!
Impossible to reconnect once we moved, tried again for hours. Now read the other bad reviews and threw the garbage away.

Cameras work ok until any problem turn up. Then it is impoasible to get hold of anybody. Decided to go with other named brand foe a piece of mind. Wouldn't recommend
Do not touch
Do not touch! Previously had 2 cameras that worked with no issues. Bought a third with a faulty battery and the customer service is non existent. Initially kept replying with stupid questions but now just ignoring me.
