Our store was not approved to sell on Faire Wholesale, and no clear reason or meaningful feedback was provided. There is also no proper way to request a review or understand what criteria were not met.

Under normal circumstances, a rejection is part of doing business. However, Faire is no longer just another platform. We are seeing a clear shift where more and more brands prefer to work through Faire instead of directly with retailers. This creates a growing dependency on access to their platform.

In that context, an opaque and non-reviewable approval process is not acceptable. When a platform holds this level of influence, decisions that directly impact businesses should be transparent and accountable. Being excluded without explanation, and without any opportunity to respond or improve, feels arbitrary and unfair.

We have reported this matter to the Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (Autoriteit Consument en Markt, ACM), as we believe this type of gatekeeping, combined with increasing market dominance, raises serious concerns.

Overall, a very frustrating experience. Platforms in this position should be held to a higher standard when it comes to transparency and fair access.

The app is user friendly and easy to use, I love having the option of Faire adding the inventory I’ve purchased to my POS, it saves me time. So far all the products I’ve received look just like the photos, arrive in a timely manner and in great condition!
