What a trailblazing company! All company should make products to last so long. I've had my phone for 5 years and it's still going strong!
A total disaster
A total disaster – extremely poor quality
I ordered a fairphone 6 for €600 from the Danish website Proshop. Immediately after unboxing it, I noticed a scratch on the display glass. I filed a complaint, and the phone was replaced with a new unit.
Unfortunately, the replacement also has manufacturing defects. The screen has a green-blue tint on the left side. Furthermore, the ultra-wide camera consistently produces photos with pink and black spots; it is very noticeable, especially when compared to photos of the same object taken with my Pixel. I simply don’t have the energy or the desire to go through the complaint process all over again.
Even though I have the system language set to Polish, not every interface element is translated, giving the impression of an unfinished, "raw" product. On top of that, the phone freezes frequently. There are also major issues with updates: Android 16 was supposed to be released by the end of 2025; it is now March 2026, and the update is still nowhere to be found.
Summary: I deeply regret this purchase. This phone is definitely not worth the money. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My only wish is to turn back time, cancel the order, and keep my €600.

Good phone, good service
It was easy to order my Fairphone which arrived pretty quickly. First impressions of it are very positive and I like the idea of being able to get replacement parts if necessary

*Update I have been in touch with customer services and they have been very helpful and resent my order within 2 days. I have now received it and am very happy with the phone and accessories, despite the issue I had I would recommend the company, and I am happy to see someone taking action on the biggest issue in the tech industry (repairability and e-waste)

3 pairs of Fairbuds no good for calls
I bought 3 pairs of Fairbuds a few months ago impressed by their fair use green life cycle proposition I hoped that it would at least work as an average earbuds however I am very disappointed with the quality of microphone. The people on the other side of the call cannot understand whatever I speak. The microphone connection is so poor it’s very frustrating. I’ve got in touch with fair phone support, but they cannot do anything to help me so I’ve got three pair of junk for calls. I currently use it only to listen to audiobooks. For calls, I would need to buy another brand.

Best sustainable electronics
Transparent Shop and shopping experience. Prices completely fine for the only really sustainable (as much as that is currently possible) electronics on the market. Shipping went well. I don't like that only ups is available as a shipping option. I'd rather pay more for DHL. But I was lucky to finally have a ups drop off point nearby, which made it hassle free this time.
This time I only bought a few chargers and cables and I am very happy with the quality improvements they made on these over the years. I've been a customer since the pre-order of the FP2 and currently own a FP5.

Couldn't do the checkout with a different billing address than to my postal address. It was so frustrating.

Website is terrible
Website is terrible, a child could make it more robust. Had issues entering address multiple times, poor verification / validation. Said no address fields were entered when they were displayed on the same page.
Took lots of attempts to pay with a CC, bank card validation meant going to a different app, when returning to the fairphone page it said the payment had failed. Couldn't use my laptop + phone as had the address field issues.
Contacting support is pointless, they might get back to you in 3 months!
UPS delivery to a drop off point is fine, but you normally get a notification from the retailer saying it's ready rather than getting a delivery update from the courier.
Didn't bother trying to get a warranty repair on the phone, but just trying to get the replacement parts was hard enough!
Will buy a second hand Samsung next time, more sustainable as they do offer support / communicate and have a functioning website.

Warranty repair waiting time over 3 weeks
My FP4 USB-C port failed for the second time in six months. After 3 weeks I'm still waiting for Fairphone Support to respond to a simple warranty self-repair request.

Quite happy with my first Fairphone
I bought the Fairbuds XL and the Fairphone 6. The latter works just great and fits my priorities very well: the battery lasts a few days even with frequent use, works smoothly, and has easily adjustable privacy settings. I don't have further performance needs (games, camera resolution, etc.).
The Fairbuds are comfortable and the material is more resistant with respect to other headsets I had (JBL).
I like the phone and the company ethos
I like the phone and the company ethos. However I did not receive the correct order. I asked for a green phone and was sent a white one which I really did not want.
Money saved and crisis averted ;)
Next day delivery on a dying phone screen (domestic Dutch delivery).€80 is wayyyy less than I would have spent had I not got a fair phone. I need my phone to get into my apartment, so this whole crisis being solved immediately was so nice. With the other parts, my 4 year old phone looks shiny and new for only €150.
If I could I would rate 6 stars for the Fair phone in general. I'd even rate 7, but that might be a bit of a stretch. Glowing review.
