I ordered and paid for a dedicated server with cryptocurrency. The estimated provisioning time was approximately one week.

More than 1.5 months have now passed, and the server has still not been delivered.

During this time I have repeatedly contacted support. Each time I received similar responses:

* they were checking with colleagues;
* they were waiting for hardware components;
* they had not forgotten about my order;
* my next billing date would be extended after activation.

Unfortunately, none of these updates included a specific delivery date, and after several replies the support team would disappear for days before responding again with another generic update.

I understand that hardware shortages and delays can happen. What I do not understand is accepting payment for a service with an estimated one-week delivery time while being unable to provide any realistic provisioning date for over six weeks.

At the time of writing, I have still received neither:

* the server I paid for, nor
* a definite activation date.

If you are considering ordering a dedicated server here, be aware that the actual waiting time may be dramatically longer than advertised, and if you pay with cryptocurrency you should understand that you do not have the protection of a card chargeback.

I sincerely hope FairyHosting resolves this situation, but based on my experience I cannot recommend their dedicated server service.

I rented a dedicated server and paid in crypto. I later decided to cancel the service - the cancellation was confirmed - and asked for a refund of the unused, prepaid balance. They refused, saying they don't provide refunds for dedicated servers.
The problem is that their own User Agreement ("Provider Responsibilities" section) clearly states that unused funds are refunded to any client who discontinues a service without breaching the terms, with no exception. I asked them twice to point me to the specific clause that justifies the refusal. They never did, and simply closed the ticket. Note for anyone paying by crypto: there's no chargeback, and in my case the published refund terms were not honoured.

UPDATE: my account was blocked without notice — correct password no longer works, reset email never arrives, and no explanation was given.
