10/10 GREAT EXPERIENCE - HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I’m writing this slightly longer review in case it helps anyone else in the same boat as me.
We found F&L by chance, based on a recommendation from a neighbour although I think most of their customers are based on recommendations which tells you everything you need to know. As a 30 something doing an extension and my first ever kitchen, I was initially a little unsure about speaking to F&L because I had no idea how much a bespoke kitchen would cost and I assumed I wouldn’t be able to afford it.
I had an initial quote from Wren for their top of the range kitchen. I had a quote from Magnet (3x Wren price) and wow the interactions we had were bad. I took the Wren design to a handful of other companies that were recommended so I could compare. For reference, F&L came in a little under the price of the Wren kitchen for a FAR superior quality kitchen, so obviously we were delighted about that. Dovetail joints on all the drawers, a corner larder, butlers pantry 😍
Everyone at F&L is really friendly and helpful, very easy to deal with, from Cecilia the office manager, to Luke who runs the business and designs the kitchens and Andris the kitchen fitter. (There are others but I didn’t interact with them).
Luke designed a great kitchen for us, challenged us on various things to make sure we got the best possible design and helped us compromise when things weren’t possible due to the build. He’s really easy to communicate with, always available, and everything is very relaxed (I sent a few voice notes during the day whilst at work when needed). He was very patient. When we had to push the installation back a few days due to building works but still wanted to be in by Xmas, he found a way to make it work. It’s his business so he goes the extra mile - you won’t find that sort of customer service just anywhere.
Andris the fitter is hilarious and very good at his job. We had one cupboard in our design that was going to cover a steel beam, that I honestly thought would just be a bit of a dud and not really useable. But enter Andris, and whatever wizardry he did, it’s basically the same as all the others!
Even the delivery drivers were extra friendly.
So, if you’re looking for a beautiful kitchen that will last, I would urge you to speak to Luke and see what F&L have to offer. They different styles at different prices, so will definitely be able to find something to match your budget (even if you aren’t quite sure what that is yet like I was).
