Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the products, citing issues such as missing or incorrect parts, poor quality, and items that were unbuildable or incomplete. The subscription service also drew strong criticism, with people reporting prolonged delays in receiving parts, unexpected price increases, and subscriptions extending far beyond the advertised duration. Reviewers frequently encountered problems with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, dismissive, and difficult to reach, often failing to resolve issues or provide clear information. Delivery services were consistently criticized for being unreliable, with packages arriving late, at incorrect addresses, or not at all. Furthermore, many consumers felt the pricing was excessive, especially given the quality and the issues encountered, leading some to question the overall value.

NEVER use this company ever. Thousands of dollars wasted

Ive spent over $2100 collecting the Moomin house subscription since 2023. With the constant delays and price increases I wish Id never started it.

it's taken almost three years and it's still incomplete, however I wish that was my only gripe. Im waiting on the final package to complete my set which I was charged for on February 1st. They still haven't sent it, and after multiple phone calls and emails all I ever get back is "we dont know when we can send it or when we will get stock". Three whole months of back and forth with zero answers or them taking responsibility.

It gets worse, I moved house in March and used to get my fanhome packages to a PO Box which I no longer have, so even when (if) it does get sent it will go to the wrong address. Ive pleaded with them on the phone to update my shipping address for this final package since they don't even have it in hand themselves yet let alone sent it, only to be told :

"sorry its already in process and even though we don't know when we will have it or can send it we can't change the address its going to"

So not only have I waited months for this final package, when it eventually does go out it'll be going somewhere I have no access to it and it'll be returned and Ill be left with an incomplete kit. (ive spoken with USPS and was told now the PO Box is closed mail cant be forwarded, only returned to sender)

Thousands of dollars wasted on something I cant use with zero accountability from the company. How they continue to function as a company whilst operating this way is beyond me. Ill do my part and post this to warn others, and leave as many reviews in as many places as I can but Im still out thousands of dollars and stuck with an incomplete kit. What a scam

⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed (Batmobile 1966 Build)

After 14 months of consistent payments and building, my Batmobile 1966 subscription has effectively stalled with no clear explanation.

Deliveries have stopped entirely. I have reached out to customer service multiple times and received no meaningful response. Attempts to contact them via their Facebook page have also been ignored.

I am now left with a half-built model and no information on if or when this will be resolved. For a subscription-based product, this lack of communication and reliability is unacceptable.

I understand that delays can happen, but completely failing to inform customers or respond to queries is not acceptable under any circumstances.

At this point, I would strongly advise anyone considering this subscription to think carefully. Transparency and communication are essential, and unfortunately, neither has been present here.

Terrible Customer Service

I've been signed up to the Star Trek Starships collection, and whilst the quality of the ships themselves is pretty poor considering the price, the biggest issue has been the customer service.

They have sent me the wrong ship, which OK mistakes happen, but their response has been nothing short of terrible.

1st off, they refuse to offer any kind of compensation, which is not a good start, as it's their error. I did everything asked of me by sending the incorrect ship back within 24 hours. Yet 2 weeks later and they still haven't sent a replacement.

Erjona of the customer service team replies quickly, but has an awful tone and has outright lied to me. I'm told ship was sent several days ago but the tracking shows they created a label but haven't actually had the courier pick it up. I'm also told I was already emailed tracking details which I wasn't. I've had to continually chase only to be given a different story each time.

The whole experience has left such a sour taste I'm now cancelling my subscription.

If i could i would give them a 0. They claimed i would get charged 14.95 per package but it was 17.98 each and I'm on the 5th package which cost $109.38 and they just informed me it will take 33 packages to finish which will cost me $2,400+ and almost 2 years and 9 months!!! absolute scam

Over 3 years to complete a 2 year build

My subscription to the Knight Rider car went 14 months over the original subscription period because you could not supply parts on time as per your contract which under the Consumer Rights Act you have blatantly breached. I will never use you ever again and am going to post my experience on as many review sites I can on find on social media to discourage anyone from using your abysmal company. No communication, no reasons, just downright ignorance. Fanhome…You should be ashamed of yourselves and cease trading.

Thieves and scoundrels

Do not bother you will end up with half a model that you've spent over a 500 pound on then delays start and parts become out of stock you ask for a refund and say you can't get one till after the recent part has been dispatched I have currently lost my job and after receiving an email to say the parts been delayed yet again I chose to cancel and ask for a refund I'm now going to have to go down the court route to try and get compensation please I urge any customer to keep track of all emails sent as evidence I must have over 100 emails kept away as proof you need to be more upfront with customers than take their money more like thieves

Do not use for any purchase

Do not use for any purchase. Half way through the collection they decide to up the prices. When questioned they then decide to continue the collection at the lower price. Good. No correspondence for 6 months despite me attempting contact then they decide to cancel my contract with no refund. Will be taking to the small claims court with all the emails they sent me.

I am writing this as a serious builder…

I am writing this as a serious builder and long-term subscriber. Do not start a subscription with Fanhome/De Agostini until you read this.

I have been a subscriber since 2023. I have paid faithfully for every issue, only to be left with an incomplete, useless model right at the finish line. Fanhome is currently failing to supply essential stages (Issues 79, 99, 100, 101, 107, 108, 109, & 110), effectively rendering the entire collection scrap.

The Support Issue:

Despite multiple emails, I am being met with silence or vague "waiting for stock" templates with no production dates. They are happy to take your money for 100+ issues but refuse to support you when they fail to deliver the final few parts needed to finish the build.

The Financial Risk:

Like many enthusiasts, I have invested hundreds of pounds in third-party upgrades (Mike Lane Mods) based on Fanhome's promise of a complete collection. Because they cannot supply these specific missing SKUs, I am now left with significant financial loss beyond just the subscription cost.

This is a breach of contract. A partwork model is "all or nothing"—without the final pieces, the previous 2 years of payments are wasted.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. The subscription was for 12 months I constantly had damaged boxes, delays in shipping for months at a time and missing pieces, which now customer service won't respond to any emails.
1x I did get a hold of CS they said my missing pieces were on the way and no charge to me. 2 weeks go by and the 2nd I get a hold of CS they say my case has been escalated and will need to wait 2 weeks for a resolution. 2 weeks go by and now they do not respond to any form of communication.
Now my useless model sits, highly recommended staying away from this illegitimate company!

Don't attempt to start a partwork!!

Currently missing stage 21 and stage 26 with no date expected for stage 21. Unable to complete model and have had to make a formal complaint to Fanhome which tooks 3 attempts for them to register. They have until 14th Jan and I will then have to lodge a civil claim with the sheriff court in order to refund all my money ( approx £1200). I wouldn't suggest you start with Fanhome, my biggest worry was they would stop supplying it and I would be left with nothing to show for the money and it appears to have happened.

I would rather rate no stars but that's…

I would rather rate no stars but that's not an option . Customer service is so bad , they do not care one bit. Seems like the company is ran by toddlers. I did the robocop build , costs well over 1000 pounds. Parts are very low quality. The joints are terrible . The face looks completely different to what they advertised . It doesn't even look human . This thing looks like it's worth 50 pounds . I'm on a Facebook group of people doing the build and not one person is happy with and all saying same thing, "been ripped off" "fanhome don't care" "bad customer service" . Countless people unable to complete builds because of stock issues . Stay away from this rubbish company .

Being lied to

I'm building the Millenium-falcon but one of my shipments was missing parts from issue 33. I spoke to a rep and they said it was with Yodel which are a total waste of time and the rep said give it 14 days. 14 days have gone, still my parts have not arrived in which I've paid good money for. I'm fed up with their lies. I'm going to cancel my subscription with them.

Absolutely appalling customer service — avoid Fanhome UK at all costs!

I subscribed to the Red Bull RB19 collection through Fanhome UK and, unbelievably, they took my payment and immediately cancelled my subscription. For the last three weeks, they’ve been claiming they’re “verifying my account,” despite the fact that my account has been active and in good standing for over five years.

I’ve been told multiple times that someone would email me once the issue was resolved — yet no one has contacted me, not once in three weeks.

To make matters worse, my partner then subscribed, and Fanhome did exactly the same thing to her — took the money, cancelled the subscription, and gave the same excuse about “verifying” the account. We’ve both confirmed our details several times, and they even told me my subscription had been “reactivated,” but nothing ever happens.

Today, I requested that Fanhome close all of my accounts and delete all of my personal data in accordance with Article 17 of the GDPR (Right to Erasure). On live chat, they ignored my request and ended the chat repeatedly without addressing it. When I phoned, I was told someone would email me the address to send my GDPR request to — but as I explained that no one has emailed me for three weeks, they hung up on me. I called again, and they said they’d send the address via live chat — yet again, they ignored me and ended the chat.

This is not just poor customer service — it’s disgraceful. Fanhome UK have shown a complete lack of accountability, transparency, and respect for their customers’ rights. Taking payment, cancelling subscriptions without cause, and then refusing to respond or honour data deletion requests is utterly unacceptable.

I strongly advise anyone considering a subscription with Fanhome UK to stay well clear until they sort out their processes and start treating their customers with basic professionalism and respect.

Their staff (Product Managers) also make deeply worrying racial, sexist and derogatory comments on social media which can be seen by all.

They have also now tagged me as SPAMMER in all communications but refuse to explain why.

They are genuinely vile people who do nothing to help and following this review I will get a request for my contact details but they will not contact me or do anything to resolve my issues.

The above has been going on since the start of August and nothing has changed
