Fast Connect provides a free service for customers who are moving home and wish to have one point of contact for all utility connections, disconnections and transfers. Customer information is collected and sent to their selected retailers on their behalf. All retailers have the same correct details to close the customer’s old power, phone, internet and pay TV accounts, and establish new ones at their new address. This simplifies the administration of setting up a new address significantly, and customers find Fast Connect’s service to be quick, easy and hassle free.

Hi Darryn, i checked your Fast Connect record which shows successful closure of your electricity & gas account in the ACT and the establishment of an electricity account at your new address in NT. Fast Connect is a free service and there is no payment processes involved. Perhaps you are referring to the energy provider payment processes? happy to discuss further. Regards Jon

I requested a move and disconnect of…

I requested a move and disconnect of power and gas, the new property power was connected as requested, Gas at the old property was disconnected however it has come to my attention that the power at the old property was not disconnected and I have been getting charged by the provider ever since. The energy provider has advised it was what was requested by Fast Connect and they are not responsible for the instructions given. Fast Connect say speak to Synergy - I am appalled that a move and disconnect has not been actioned as requested and I am now liable for this electricity I have not used. I will never use Fast Connect again, and I will recommend to others not to use them and get stung like I was.

No one called or emailed us about…

No one called or emailed us about getting our services connected so we went the long way round.

I just recieved your email and it had no text except for your contact details.

I am not sure how you know our connection date as I ended up calling our provider directly to get the connection sorted

Thanks for the review. Records here show Fast Connect received your request on 08/03/18 for an electricity & gas connection on 19/03. A confirmation email was sent to your email address the same day and both were successfully completed on 19/03. I will re- send a copy of the confirmation email.

Thanks for the review. Fast Connect do not provide a plan comparison service. We offer a move in/move out service only. You cannot do an apples for apples comparison of plans until you have moved in and have billing/meter information from which to compare. Fast Connect importantly provide plans with no lock in period or exit fees attached so once you have billing and meter data you can shop for the best deal at your new address. There is consumer advice published by the Australian Energy Regulator supportive of this position. Thanks - Jon
