Exceeds expectations!
This bike is a ton of fun to ride and turns heads like crazy! Not many rides go by without having someone say how cool the bike looks.
Lucked Out
I found the exact right bike for me, and it was a lightly used demo so I could afford it. I love everything about it! It’s so light, I can lift it over my head. It’s fun to ride and the palm rests are something I never want to live without again. The carbon wheels feel like air rolling under my feet. The customer service was bar none. Adam helped me decide the smartest way to adjust the gearing to suit my lackluster engine. Everything was tuned up and they even added the dropper post for way less than I could have done on my own. Since it was lightly used I don’t have to deal with a break in period or panic over the first scratch! All I had to do was have my mechanic order the part. We shipped straight to my mechanic who gave me my new chain ring during assembly and off I went. Glad I had insomnia that night!
Although I haven’t had any issues…
Although I haven’t had any issues requiring use of their customer service, the bike and their sales team are solid as heck.
Great customer service and product
Great experience having my questions answered over the phone as well as ordering via phone. Quick delivery, great video to help in assembly. Overall very happy with my Borealis Flume.
Borealis knows how to build a frame!
I have found my Borealis Crestone to be an amazingly built bicycle. The geometry is amazing and wonderful old-school technology that feels great on the trail. The first time I rode my Borealis that I build from the frame up could not tell what type of bike I was riding because it felt so good… I was one with the bike and I would truly recommend it to anyone. I have since bought my partner a
Flume, and she loves it!
The Best Fat Bike on the Market
The Best Fat Bike on the Market! Complete carbon masterpiece! Shift’s like butter!
Think Borealis first and give Steve a call.
My Crestone has been absolutely awesome and working with Steve was a pure pleasure!
I like my Crestone so much I got rid of my mountain bike. Anybody that says fat bikes are slow and ponderous has never ridden a Crestone with a Lauf fork, carbon wheels, and Jumbo Jim's. On single track I run neck and neck with the 29ers and pass them on the technical features as a result of better traction and stability.
Cracked Crestone, frustration.
Had a really bad experience with a cracked frame on the borealis crestone. Things got much worse when dealing with the owner and trying to get the frame warrantied. Very very frustrating. However, I don't want this review to be posted online. As a business owner I know how detrimental negative reviews are and that is why I have never posted anything about my experience or interaction with borealis. I wish them the best of luck!
Love Our Borealis Bikes
Great company, great products, and easy to do business with.
Great Fat Bike just need more links to accessories with brand name!
Well, first off, Borealis makes some incredible Fat Bikes.
I have the Crestron Graphite Fat Bike and I love it. Where improvement needs to be made is with their website and instore accessories. It would be nice to be able to get more Borealis mens and womens clothing on their site, that has their name on it. Including bike accessories. Or maybe even other company equipment with available links to access things that would fit on the Borelais brand. But maybe they will get there someday.
We love our Borealis bikes and have…
We love our Borealis bikes and have been impressed with the quality and durability of the bikes. I love mountain biking so much more with the fat bike than I do with my Specialized bike. The Borealis bikes are very smooth over bumps and make climbing hills a piece of cake! So glad we purchased the Borealis bikes!
Awesome Bikes.....Awesome People!

Crestone a $4K Bargain
I purchased a Crestone with SRAM XO components and Carbondale wheels, shipped to me for $4,000. I could not have purchased a similar quality bike from any of the large manufacturers or other boutique builders for that little, either locally or online.
My only minor quibble is that the rear hub ratchets very loudly - everyone knows when I'm freewheeling. But on the other hand, it does serve to tell my riding friends how much coasting they could do, how much more enjoyable their rides might be, if they had a great, lightweight bike like mine.
Great bikes and great company
Great bikes and great company! It's a real pleasure and hard to come by opportunity to deal directly with the manufacturer of the best fat bikes in the world. In this day of mega-brands, it's really refreshing to have a company like Borealis. I've been riding my carbon Echo for 3 years and couldn't be happier. I've had several friends buy Borealis bikes and everyone is a firm believer in their brand, company and way of doing business. Keep up the good work guys!
Love this bike
Great price, called with questions and got my answers. Absolutely love this bike.
