Was a little dubious about this company…

Was a little dubious about this company after reading the reviews BUT, we can honestly say that they were very helpful from start to finish.
Flew up from Stansted, they picked us up from the airport and we were pleasantly greeted by all the friendly staff. After purchasing the van (ford transit) we drove to our hotel. Upon arrival the ABS light appeared. We contacted Fife van center. They asked us to return the vehicle to fix. They investigated and found it needed a part (hub ring and seal) which would take 2hrs to arrive. They offered a lift back to the hotel and returned the van to us the very next morning. All fixed and ready to go. Very helpful and will definitely use this company again. DONT be put off by the bad reviews! And we made it safe and sound back to England, happy with our purchase 😉

Shambles

Shambles, Originally bought in May 22 , so many issues and 2 years later., still got issues. 1st year, spent more time going back and forward getting repairs done.
Here's a SHORT list.
Van serviced for collection, got about 10 miles away, oil light came on ( they serviced it as a 2.2 Boxer ( 6 litres of oil ) as opposed to a 3 litre ( 9 litres.of oil required )
Wind out Canopy legs were jammed , despite being told they had been checked by the infamous Ian! ) Fixed that myself.
Hot water/heating not working , had to go back several times to get it sorted....still have issues today and that was 2 yrs ago!
Ian even had the nerve to switch the control unit from electric to diesel as it was obvious the electric side was not heating the water up and thought we wouldn't notice, why would we not? He was only 2 feet in front of us! Van had to stay where it was....again, to be repaired. Another 80 mile wasted journey! (Still not properly fixed and never has been)
Hab certificate given despite loose electrical wires everywhere. Turns out the van had been riddled with mice and chewed almost every conceivable wire they could get their teeth on. Satellite system not working , admittedly they actually did install a new one for us. We supplied a new TV to go with it as there was none in the van, they couldn't fit it as it didn't have " satellite " function. When we mentioned that it did and showed them the manual , we were then told that the " engineer" only fits Cello and didn't even look at the one we supplied but they still charged us for the Cello TV!
Leaky sink ( They fixed that )
Toilet pump not working ( they fixed that )
External light not working ( fixed that myself)
Tupperware box used as "waterproof wire housing for rear lights"

2 years later, we have had to get the van heater rewired by Webasto as , Quote " Who the F@@@ has been at this , the wiring is a shambles and has been joined all over the place and doesn't match the Webasto wiring loom. Ultimately to save time and costs, it was decided to rip out the shoddy wiring and replace it with the genuine Webasto wiring harness. Still a fault with the heating/water but at last we are slowly getting there. Wish we didn't listen to all their promises and downright lies and just got our money back.
Avoid at all costs unless you want to spend all your time travelling up and down the M90 for repairs.

Motor Home purchase

Bought a motor home early in 2024. Professional from start to finish.
Had an issue with fridge when we collected but they asked us to get sorted locally to us and they would reimburse, which they did without question.
Motor Home was serviced and MOT’d and we’ve been really happy.

Honestly dont touch this company

Honestly dont touch this company. I don't know what planet they are on. I put a deposit down and flew up to what could only be described as a terrible car. Then the rubbish that came out of their mouths trying to justify selling the car was a joke. It had just had an mot put on it ! Doubt the mot station even saw the car ! Best thing about the company is the exit gate ! Bunch of C...S!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! COMPLETE CROOKS

Sold me a van and was told nothing wrong with it (GD19 VCU), Whilst driving home there was a loud nocking sound coming from the suspension, it was seriously down on power on the motoway and once i returned home i booked it into a garage for a service, the garage told me to come down and have a look, and bigger problems was discovered, the van had been in a serious crash and badly repaired, the whole front end was bodged back together, Missing bolts, parts from different vehicles, Tech screws holding radiator in, front bumper SILICONED on!! Rear bumper fell off as i was leaving the petrol station, it turned out the bumper was held on with woodscrews!! upon the refund i was told DVLA will refund me for the tax i paid, after waiting multiple weeks for the logbook i phoned DVLA and they told me the van has never been in my name! ANOTHER LIE FROM THESE ABSOLUTE CROOKS! AVOID ALL ALL COSTS! I WAS WARNED ABOUT THESE PREVIOUSLY BUT TOOK THE CHANCE, BIG BIG MISTAKE!

This was just some of the faults found from the vehicle report!

Front end damage with poor quality repairs
Over spray on rear doors with dried runs in the paint
Over spray on Front Grill & under bonnet
Bolts missing from securing panels and headlight units
Inadequate bolt replacements holding the radiator in place
Lack of power from the engine
Severe front end knock (Suspected suspension)
AdBlue fault
Power steering intermittently not working
Spare wheel missing
Front Slam bar has been folded on the passenger front
Passenger side headlight unit is a replacement from another vehicle of different years
Passenger side inner arch liner is majorly damaged (Half is present/broken off)
Front bumper, Passenger side fender & bonnet is poorly repaired using body filler of which has started to crumble
Part of rear bumper fell off, Upon inspection it was held on via x2 wood screws (Completely inadequate fixings)
Sump leaking oil

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS! THEY ARE COMPLETE CROOKS AND WILL LIE ABOUT ANYTHING AND TRY TO COVER UP ANY FAULTS RATHER THAN FIXING THEM JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY!

WARNING - COVER UP COWBOYS

This is a terrible company, they lie from the minute you set foot on the premises, they will agree to repairs (there will be lots), but will cover them up rather than repair them where possible.
Selling unfit vehicles - damp, equipment not working, broken chassis, damaged wheels - I could go on.
Will promise you all sorts for you to buy - missing paperwork, guarantees, warranties, servicing certificates, gas checks. They will tell you they are in the post but you will NEVER see them.
Horrific customer service. They say will call back but never do, even the management are unprofessional, rude and will ignore all letters.
Dangerous. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

A shocking experience that cost me…

A shocking experience that cost me countless sleepless nights. I bought a van from them in September 2021. From day 1 I had nothing but troubles with the van. Small issues like missing tyre pressure sensors, and big issues like an engine warning light coming on (an issue that 3 garages looked into and nobody could figure out what the cause was). During this time, Fife Van Centre was not very cooperative, unable to give me a straight answer regarding what was covered and what was not covered by the dealer's warranty. I also ended up travelling to Fife (a 250-mile round trip for me) a few times hoping that the dealer could fix the faults. They couldn't. I ended up returning the van, after 6 months and just 3k miles (it spent more time in my driveway than on the road). Returning the van wasn't an easy process either. The trader was evasive, and I wasn't even sure if I'd get my deposit back. I did, but I had to chase it up with the trader and the finance company multiple times. And the funny part is that the van I returned, with an unfixed (most likely) wiring fault was put up for sale before I got my deposit back, basically the next day it was back with the trader. And for a 1k more than what I bought it for.

Great garage with excellent customer service

Bought a van from here in November, from start to finish they were absolutely brand new , they picked me up from train station and once i looked at the van the deal was done , unfortunately i started having an issue with the clutch so i phoned derry and there was a replacement van at my door in Aberdeen within 3hrs , they replaced the clutch under warranty and had the van back in 3 days , then i had another issue and was asked just to get it sorted locally and they would pay for it no quibble, i can honestly say that this is unusual in my experience with garages, but i can honestly recommend this place, i read a couple of negative reviews but this is not the experience i have had and to be fair they hadnt actually bought anything , i will definitely give them a try when i am looking for a new van and if i come into money buy a motorhome as they had a stack of beautiful ones there,

Horrific

Enquired about a van online, stated I would have to travel from the south of England to collect, I was assured it was a good solid van (NH07TVL VW Transporter) And the paintwork was all good.
Gets on a flight up there to find it’s an absolute nail, head gasket had gone, more oil in the expansion tank than water, back doors wouldn’t lock and felt like it was held together with blue tack, not to mention the state up close of the body work, laminate was peeling off numerous scuffs dents and paint peel.
Was fobbed off with the “you must of spoke with my brother and he’s not in today” scpeel.

Awful.

Beware! Shockingly bad service.

Saw 2 vans on their website, phoned them to check on the details and to make sure they were there, "Oh yes" they said, "they fit your requirements"
Up early next day, drove for 2 hours to get there, no vans! The person we spoke to on the phone had no clue about what they had and didn't have. They went thro a charade of pretending they were in the other yard but they were'nt.
4 hours wasted, duff information, speaks volumes about the place so BUYER BEWARE!
Would have been no stars if possible.
