WTF Have They Done?

Was a great platform, been using as a premium user for many years. Then in August it all went horribly wrong with some new beta version launching and I haven’t had access since.

This is another Sonos fiasco all over again, and we’ve seen what that has done to that business, its reputation and its leadership team!

Why did you fix something that was not broken? Rarely up these days, the search feature is useless and downloads are often denied. As of today I sometimes get the home page but that lasts a little time and the site is unreachable again. WTF Filefactory?

By far the worst services possible

By far the worst services possible. A nightmare to find files or to have any interesting feedback from their support. The new Beta still isn't working (90% failed requests) and No REFUND policy. Never again.

Agree with others filefactory was a great site now not so sometimes it opens sometimes it doesn't lost all my files i had stored and as a paying customer i won't be paying again unless its sorted out very poor

I have to agree with the latest…

I have to agree with the latest reviews, they have tried to fix something that isn’t broken. My membership expires in a few days and I won’t be renewing, no point in paying for something that doesn’t work. Real pity as this was a great site.

If its not broken why fix it or change it? The system is slow....full of errors....and now has to many down moments. I have been loyal to them for many years but now I feel they are a waste of my money....Why do companies feel they need to reinvent the wheel to be successful? This is so disappointing....

How the mighty have fallen

When it worked, it was great. However in recent months any file links encounter problems and don't work. And now the site has been effectively down for over two weeks with a brief resurgence for a couple of days. It appears to be back up again today but they have implemented a new/rebuilt version - which does not allow my old premium id/pwd to logon. Plus it forces you to accept cookies to use the site. Oh, and there is nowhere apparent to search for files anymore. I suspect they have prematurely launched a bug-ridden Beta version and premium members are paying for the consequences. One star is generous given the current (non-)status of the facility. Finally - their customer service and help is non-existent. Good luck getting any response from them.

Absolutely horrible customer service

File factory could care less about its customers! The haven't released any information as to why they have been down for several days now! People have paid for service but the just don't care enough to keep us in the loop! Give us our money back! Wow

I've been using FileFactory Premium for…

I've been using FileFactory Premium for several years now with no problems. Over the last year, I got a hint that something may have changed. I had a couple of downloading problems and e-mailed support. There was no resolution so I e-mailed again and got a curt reply from Andy saying they were working on the problem. Never did get it resolved.
Then, my subscription ended and I didn't renew. Shortly afterwards, I got TWO emails from Andy saying that if I renewed my premium subscription, I would get two years for the price of one. When I went to the website there was no mention of this so-called "flash sale" and I was offered only the regular 1 yr subscription with no extension. I e-mailed Andy one more time to mention this and now, after 3 weeks, there has been no reply. Given the similar reviews here about communication difficulties, I'm not confident with spending any more money on FileFactory subscriptions and the, now, illusive Andy. I'm disappointed. So I have not renewed.

Inactive account despite paying Premium subscription

I just signed up with File Factory. They took my VISA particulars and I have yet to be able to activate my account. I have messaged them and the robot gives out only so much information and then say to contact support. I have contacted support and have had no replies for 6 days. I was supposed to receive a receipt of payment but I have received that either. I haven't been able to get anywhere with them. Any suggestions?

Not sure what is going on with…

Not sure what is going on with Filefactory.com, their customer service sucks. I have had a ticket in for over a week now with no human acknowledgement, just varied notices stating they will be "back on Sunday" or "we'll get to this as soon as we can" and still nothing, I used to have respect for the hosting company but after this last issue with them it's time for me to move on.

Horrible

Horrible. Do not give one cent to this. Features do not work, they have removed support features, use "ai" to get you on a chat and then ever tell you "staff" will be "back soon" and then you get NOTHING.

Emails to support have gone unanswered for months, until recently when that support email bounces back.

This is a ripoff. Their homepage talks about "trust since 2005" but the buzz is everywhere, on all the forums I visit---DO NOT EVER TRUST FILE FACTORY. They take your money and leave high and dry and do even so much as PRETEND to offer support for the ever increasing mass of errors, problems, and #MASSIVE FAILS their platform has cratered into.

DO NOT SPEND A PENNY ON FILE FACTORY until and if they ever return to decency again.

Definitely not what is used to be....

I got a good deal on a lifetime membership about 2 year ago and it seemed like a good value. I think I have gotten my money's worth over time but I don't know what's going on now. In the last 6 months (speaking as of 1st June 2025) things have really gone off the rails. I used to get rapid responses to service requests and help with problems, but now never a response. A lot of links are broken and/or lead to servers with lapsed security certificates or links that can't or won't connect. When a link connects, it works great but broken connections seem to increase daily. I would have given it 5 stars last summer, but now 3 stars is a stretch.

File Factory is a money trap! They advertise "Create a FREE account for downloads of 1mb per second". I did this, and it is NO different than if I had not created an account! I am downloading STILL at 44kb a second. Total LIARS!

Renewal subs not working

I have been contacted by filefactory to explain they've been having problems with their payment system and it is now being sorted. I have now been able to renew my subscription.
I've been with filefactory for 13 years and never had a problem until now. It seems they are no longer taking new or existing renewals. Seems odd that up until my subscription ran out a week ago, the site still ran ok and they are still hosting files. I would have thought if they have gone out of business, the site would have been taken down or at least not worked, but according to my friend who still has an active subscription, it's working as normal

Is FileFactory now dead

TBH, I think FileFactory must have gone out of business. At least they aren't taking our money, but there is no customer support and no explanation. You can't subscribe via Paypal as it does not come up as an option. They have moved their base around the world as they needed to. I think they were in Hong Kong when I joined. They are now in Belize (Central America), not exactly a hub of international commerce....
