Valuable Information

I highly recommend this program. It has strengthen me in areas that needed improvement. After earning my designation, I’ve been very motivated to apply what I’ve learned and pour it into others.

The program was much better than I anticipated. It is both user-friendly and thought-provoking if a student wants to take a deeper dive. A few modules touch on higher-level educational theory that I will incorporate into my practice.

I love the program so far

I love the program so far. Prior to starting this program, I was lost on how I would get started with teaching classes. I am passionate about reaching groups of people by teaching them financial literacy. Workshops are the best way to do it and now I will have the material to do it.

Thoughts as I hit the final exam

I'm just about to take my final exam as part of this training course. I think this course offers a lot of value to people who have only a foundational knowledge of finance and and little experience teaching. However, as someone who already has a good grip on financial knowledge and who works in instructional design, I was underwhelmed with the lack of depth in many of the finance-related topics and the overall presentation. That being said, I'm very excited to continue my journey as a PF coach, and I'm happy the NFEC is pursing its mission of expanding financial literacy! I'm also more than willing to lend my expertise in course design and delivery in order to improve the course as well.

The NFEC Certified Educator Instructor Program

The NFEC Certified Educator Instructor program is amazing!. While it is thorough, it is also very practical. The program helps you with content knowledge, helps you to understand why and what you are are doing, and definitely teaches you how to serve and teach others with financial education and financial literacy. I am half way through the course, and looking forward to completing the program.

My NEFEC Experience

My NEFEC experience was user friendly. The program touched all of the important aspects of different types of learning styles, filled with applicable information and it eliminated any excuses regarding sharing with least one person per day an interesting nugget of information learned in the program.

NFEC Credentials Make a Difference

Overall training program very well done. I expected more "content knowledge" material vs "teaching methodologies" both are important however - in addition, there's a heavy emphasis on "promotion, marketing, and building a business and brand" vs education in the actual topics of financial wellness - i.e creating and managing a budget, living within your means, saving for the future, etc.

Hi Frank. Thanks for your comments and glad to have you in the training! I see you tested out of the content knowledge section (budgeting, loans, credit, saving, etc.) but you can still take that portion of the course if you like. Just go back to the Content Knowledge section -https://clients.financialeducatorscouncil.org/topic/cfei-v3-content-knowledge - and choose option 3. This will get you full access to the Content Knowledge section of the course. You selected option 2 - this is for those that have the knowledge on these areas and are able to test out of that section which you successfully completed. Either way, we just want to make sure you know the personal finance topics and how to teach others about those topics which you have demonstrated by earning your credentials. Thank you and feel free to reach out anytime if we can help with your efforts. Thanks!

Disappointed.

Not well aligned with my needs, given my market niche. I have placed a request for contact for refund under "30 day No Questions Asked Guarantee" and will update my review to reflect Customer Service following resolution.

Hello Rebecca. Thanks for your comments and happy to help. I see you just finished section 5 of the training. The Software starts in section 8 of the course - this includes training and recorded coaching sessions so you understand how to use the software and see it in action. I understand the urge to just jump into the resources but I'm sure you will find it very easy to use once you get to that part of the course. Additionally, the coaching materials for clients are in sections 9, 12, and 13. Please re-review once you get to those portions of the course. If you need additional support just reach out via your preferred method or schedule a call with your program director. Thanks.
