The self paced training worked well for my schedule as I have a regular 9 to 5 job. The layout of the course material engaged all my different learning styles - videos, reading and activities. I just completed the Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI) course from National Financial Educators Council (NFEC). I am a former Cisco Systems and Microsoft curriculum developer and a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor and Microsoft Certified Trainer. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I must say that this course is one of the most comprehensive I have taken. It provides coverage not only of core personal finance topics, but also current pedagogy and proven educational methods. NFEC has developed a wealth of effective tools and resources for use by instructors implementing personal finance education programs. I was impressed with the variety and quality of instructional materials including customizable student handouts as well as the turnkey financial education packages and ongoing resources and support for certified instructors. I would recommend this program for anyone wishing to teach personal finance.
