Quick and Efficient. You will never go wrong!!!

The Good:
Web app is pretty good, particularly at discerning individual voices in a noisy environment.

The Bad:
Mac desktop app is dreadful. Doesn't work properly, no audio recording available and whatever I do to turn the auto join setting off it tries to join every call I make on my Mac in google Meet, Zoom and Whatsapp. I deleted it in the end.

However, the worst aspect of Fireflies is the absolutely terrible support. I had a billing issue which has caused my account to be downgraded to the free version, losing access to all of my meetings. I cannot speak to anybody, and I'm just helplessly waiting for somebody to pick up my increasingly frantic emails and get back to me to restore my access. Meanwhile, I'm having to postpone calls until this access is restored, which fundamentally impacts my business.

Fireflies, like many other applications these days, hides behind a fairly useless AI support bot. I'd avoid it unless you have a robust backup in place. I'm certainly not going to rely on it going forward.

Great for meetings when a lot of conversation is taking place between multiple board members. the note taker really helps

Fireflies takes hours a week off my workload; we use it for ideation, strategy meetings, product design - every task you can think of.

The value I get from being able to capture meetings is huge. To not lose detail, stay focused in the meetings then use AI to add context to existing projects is essential to my working life now. highly recommend

As CTO, I can't attend every meeting, but I need to know what's happening across the team. Fireflies solves that. Each morning I go through the summaries and action items to prepare for the day, spot blockers early, and follow up where needed. Setup was simple, and the summaries are consistently accurate and useful

Great meeting transcriber. I've used several and Fireflies does the best job of creating a comprehensive transcript that is broken down into digestible pieces; from topics to action items; in a way that make sense to all meeting attendees, and provides relevant and accurate action items and next steps.

I was testing this and after 3 meetings, I was presented with a message saying 0 meetings left [UPGRADE].
The onboarding process did not state that there were limitations on the number of meetings... and there isn't.
This message is misleading and needs to be resolved by Fireflies.
Meetings can continue, just the AI summaries and the other good stuff is missing. I'm only testing this out at the minute, so I don't need the other stuff, but will be useful down the line.
I nearly gave up on Fireflies due to this, but only came back because I thought I could have set up the wrong kind of account [Personal vs Team]. I didn't, I set up personal and still got the "0 meetings left [UPGRADE]" message.

Anyway, from what I've seen so far, it looks good. I did venture to a rival briefly (I wont mention them here), but although they do the same thing, the user interface seems more polished on Fireflies. Had I not had all the hassle with the misleading 0 meetings prompts, it would have been a 5*.

Incredible company I have requested a trial in September for 7 days.

But after a few minutes I didn't want it anymore because I have another program.

So I have stopped my trial period immediately and today they are charging 200 euros from my account for something I don't even use, seriously, I want my money back.
I would think 100 times before I start the trial period. An unfair business: if you don't complete and cancel the trial period, you will still remain active in their system. This is their trick. You will not receive proof of cancellation via email. This is their way of covering themselves up later by claiming something went wrong during the procedure, so they can continue with your money. This is exactly what I experience with these people. Only one warned person counts for 10. With your bank account, they will try to withdraw money until it succeeds. They are criminals and scammers running this platform.

It is a great tool for meeting notes. I love that you can record the meeting on the spot through the app, and it will not only transcribe it but also summarize it into notes. It's great!

Fireflies makes transcription and meeting notes easy! The desktop app is thoughtfully constructed, and the fireflies talk application works as well as other products like Willow.ai but is included with the base subscription. Great value!

I use Fireflies.ai to record and prepare the full transcript and summaries of our VFW meetings. After the meetings, Fireflies creates a General Summary and if desired, a Refined Summary. I have done this for over 20 meetings so far.
I would like to reorganize the summaries into the format of our meeting agenda, but haven't figured out how to do that yet. Right now I use the General Summaries as our meeting minutes.

I like it...easy to use and responds well to prompts

Fireflies is an incredibly useful application. It offers great flexibility, allowing you to record directly from online meetings, straight from a smartphone, or by uploading audio files. The generated summaries are highly practical—they do not hallucinate or make things up, and sharing them with colleagues is seamless. It feels purpose-built for enterprise environments, as the summaries are perfectly concise and straight to the point.

Fireflies is so convenience to use - from within online meetings to using to record in person meetings. It has become my virtual assistant.

Great easy app for transcriptions. It takes a little work to get a summary suitable for risk and compliance work, as it seems more suited to sales type calls. But really happy with its ability to transcribe audio so well. Maybe the latest Claude and OpenAI models are now just as capable of turning the long meeting transcripts into a decent workable document.
