This warranty is a scam

This warranty is a scam. They are not ready to repair or replace anything. Staff are not professional. When I asked why my claim was denied about my AC the representative took it like a joke. And when I asked to cancel the policy and have the rest of the money back I was told that there was no money to be return. Worst company ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Warning: Avoid First Premier Home Warranty - A Complete Failure in Service

I am writing this because I want to prevent others from making the same mistake I did. Based on my experience, First Premier Home Warranty is a scam, failing to honor its commitments and provide even basic customer service.
More than a month ago, I filed a claim -no response. A few weeks later, I called about my air conditioning issue, which, living in the southern U.S., is urgent. To this day, no one has called me back.

On June 12, 2025, I called twice to follow up:

* 10:16 AM EST (Duration: 10 minutes) - Spoke with a representative named Ben (if that's his real name). He was flippant, dismissive, vague, and outright graceless. Instead of helping, he treated my concerns like an inconvenience.
* 10:52 AM EST (Duration: 12 minutes hold + conversation) - Attempted to escalate the issue, but the next representative was just as dismissive. Despite my repeated requests, he refused to connect me to a supervisor.
Instead, he kept asking pointless, repetitive questions to stall the conversation, then directed me to email a complaint
- something he hadn't mentioned earlier.

When I started recording our conversation, he became agitated, demanding I stop-despite First Premier Home Warranty recording customer calls themselves for "training purposes." He threatened to terminate the call in 10 seconds unless I stopped recording. I complied and ended the call.

This is not how a reputable company operates.

I hold the Platinum Plan, which is supposed to cover a wide range of repairs, including my pool, yet it has proven worthless. When I needed $2,000 in plumbing repairs, the company refused to reimburse most of it, approving compensation for only one item. So, while I had been awaiting the arrival of my reimbursement for weeks, the denial of my full reimbursement was never revealed to me before yesterday, although “Ben” conducted the conversation as if it was something that I should have known, and as if he resented me for not knowing.

First Premier Home Warranty needs to be held accountable. I challenge them to:

1. Find and publicly share the call recordings to prove whether their customer service is acceptable.
2. Explain why repeated requests for managerial oversight were ignored.
3. Demonstrate how their so-called warranty actually helps customers.
If you're considering a home warranty, avoid this company at all costs. Their failure to respond, assist, and take accountability speaks for itself.

I had taken out a policy with them

I had taken out a policy with them, I called to have my AC unit checked on which was in my contract. They sent a tech to service my unit. I paid my co pay, and then received a bill from the AC company. I explained to AC company, "I am not responsible to pay this bill." This went on for months. I forwarded the bill to First Premier Home Warranty. They never paid it, I sent the AC company the money. They never even responded. This company is bogus and I would stay far,far away from them. They do not have reps in my area and they are based in New York. I read multiple complaints against them on the BBB website. This is a scam company! Do not waste your money with them. I had to block my debit card because they kept trying to charge it.

First Premier Home Warranty sends…

First Premier Home Warranty sends technicians who collect a $75 come-out fee, but they have not returned to fix the issue. First Premier claims that they have not received three different diagnostics from the technicians. Customer service is the worst, and the policy has been cancelled.

After reviewing the Policy

Up front the warranty sounds like a great deal but after reviewing the actual policy, the amounts allowed for claims will not cover the actual costs, leaving you the customer to make up the difference.
After reviewing the policy, I decided to cancel before the thirty day cancellation period expired. I purchased the policy on 5-5-25 and canceled today, 5-19-25 and upon cancelling the company withheld a $75.00 service fee even though the policy would not take affect 06-04-2025. If you should decide to purchase a policy, be aware that if you change your mind it is going to cost you.

First Premier Home Warranty is a scam

First Premier Home Warranty is a scam. He buys fake reviews and posts them on his profile to make his business look good in front of people. Most of the reviews on his profile are fake. I paid for the highest coverage plan, thinking I'd be protected, but every time I filed a claim, they found a reason to deny it. My water heater broke down, and they took four weeks to process my claim, only to tell me that "sediment buildup" isn't covered. What’s the point of having a warranty if they never approve repairs? Save your money and go with a reputable company.

Do NOT trust First Premier Home…

Do NOT trust First Premier Home Warranty! Its coverage is a joke, and its customer service is beyond terrible. When my oven stopped working, they initially approved my claim, but after three weeks of no updates, I called them. Suddenly, they claimed the issue was due to "improper maintenance" and denied the repair. I asked to see proof, and they couldn’t provide anything. They make up reasons to deny claims.

All the good reviews on Suder's profile are fake. I took their service after seeing these fake good reviews. Now I am complaining about their service. Their service is horrible.

The worst company ever

Scam! Scam! Scam! I believe this company is the worst home warranty provider in the USA. They were having a promotion and of course I took the bait and it became one of the worst decisions I've made. Please note that any positive reviews you see on them are from those who have not filed a claim. They deserve zero stars but I had to give one in order to post the review. Let me walk you through their process:
1. First you must file a claim and this needs to be done with a phone call between the hours of 9:00 to 5pm - no holidays & no weekend so forget an emergency.
2. Once you finally get your claim submitted, good luck with getting a company to come out and repair your item. I had to go through three companies before someone would finally come out to just look at the problem. 3. If the item can be repaired then that's a good thing but wait a minute..... Now you have to wait for 30 days after the repair to make another claim no matter what breaks down.
4. If your item cannot be repaired they give you a cash in lieu which of course is never enough to cover the new item. Remember those 30 days? Your check will NOT be PROCESSED until 30 days after the repair person sends them a report that the item is unrepairable and you will NEVER EVER speak with the billing department because you have to wait until they call you.( They never call).
5. After the 30 days your check is finally processed but .....you have to wait 30 more days to get it in the mail, and if it does not come, then the 30 day process starts again when you request a new check to be sent. Remember, NO new claims while you're waiting.
Guess what? It has been 6 months and I'm still waiting for my cash in lieu check and now my home warranty has expired. Of course I did not renew and that is why I'm still waiting. I call every week for an update and I keep getting a runaround.

Unfair Compensation and Poor Service

1-Star Review: First Premier Home Warranty sent me an email on March 4, 2025, with a "Cash in Lieu of Repair Form" offering a mere $177.87 for my 2019 Samsung washer (originally worth $2,000, now depreciated to $950-$1,000), but provided no explanation or justification for this amount. When I called to dispute this on the same day, they arbitrarily told me it was a "final decision" and denied my request to speak with a supervisor. They ignored my March 5 email demanding $800 or an equivalent washer by March 7. After I filed a BBB complaint, their March 31 response was irrelevant, suggesting I contact their billing department for a "cancellation process," which has nothing to do with my demands for fair compensation and transparency on repair costs and depreciation. I am currently fighting this issue through BBB and the State Attorney General’s Office Consumer Protection Division to seek justice. Poor service and deceptive practices—avoid this company! Avoid First Premier Home Warranty

Avoid First Premier Home Warranty – Scam Company!

I strongly advise against using First Premier Home Warranty. They deny claims immediately, no matter the issue, and refuse to provide any service calls. Their customer service is completely unhelpful—the representatives have no idea what they’re doing, and their only job seems to be coming up with excuses to reject claims.

Even if you have a legitimate issue that should be covered under your policy, they will find a way to deny it. It’s clear they have no intention of actually honoring their contracts. This company is a complete scam—save your money and go with a reputable home warranty provider instead!

Beware before signing up with this company. They are scammers

This company and their representatives are crooks. They are not there to abide by their own contracts. They are there to scamm hard working people out of their hard working money. They took my money. I add my washer broken. I had to pay an extra 60 dollars a tech to come out to diagnose the problem for them to say it was not covered. I have a top range microwave that stopped working. Again, I had to pay an additional 60 for a tech to come diagnose the problem. For them again to say, they will not fix it and offered me a buy out. At this stage, I am exhausted and disappointed that I got involved with these crooks and accepted the buy out of less than $130.00 because I was just getting sick dealing with these crooks. A month later, I have not received the check. They have not returned my phone calls or emails.
People need to know about these scammers, so they don't fall victims to them like me.

I have no pressure in my shower

I have no pressure in my shower line. I called to report. First premiere assigned Sunshine Pluming. I called sunshine and they said they would not be coming out…all I needed was to send a picture…they would diagnose what part I needed and would schedule an appt. 8 days later…I called First Premiere…to find the reason for the delay. The representative told me the request is denied….because the shower faucet cartridge - faucet is bad…and they don’t cover that. They said it is. It covered. And, I must have too much time on my hands to call them three times about the issue. Too bad and so sad for me….not first premiere problem. He said ,”it needs fixed, right.” “ you need someone to fix,it”. Call somebody and you just pay for it. First premiere won’t. I asked to cancel my First Premiere home warranty and get the final 6 month refund. They said sure….with cancellations fees and understanding I have 1/2 or 6 months remaining on the $699 yearly contract. ..they will refund me $40. Would I like to cancel, now?
