I understand investment risk but never having bought metals, I trusted Fisher to guide me; I trusted a voice on the phone. Your experience with them may be different; I pray it's better. But, as for me, with Fisher Capital's help, my life savings which I transferred to them in Jan. 2023, is still valued around half even after the gold and silver markets have gone up over 50% during the time I have been a Fisher Capital customer.

For a year and a half, even though gold and silver prices have increased dramatically, my account has basically not moved. Why?

For the first 6 months of 2023, I was scared to death. Had I had made the worst mistake of my financial life? Almost daily I would wake up around 3 AM saying out loud, "Oh God, what have I done?" This stress went on for months.

During those months when I called trying to get answers as to why my account value was shockingly low, someone at Fisher would assure me everything was fine; just hang on. It's a long term investment, 3 - 5 years. They convinced me to sit tight.

In fact, as proof all was well with my account and to calm my concerns that I had paid too much, I received emails from Fisher which showed a "retail" value just under what I paid. But then, as a dealer they could tell me any price they wanted, trusting I wouldn't pursue that price. Although not totally convinced, I continued with them.

In July, the then custodian Strata, sent notices they were no longer going to be associated with Fisher Capital. They informed me of the federal law suit filed against Fisher. The ongoing suit, which was filed by the Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in April of 2023 alleged, among other issues, the prices paid by customers were double or triple prevailing prices. Gut punch #1!

In Nov. 2023, my family suffered a financial emergency and I needed to withdraw $50,000. Upon requesting Fisher follow through on their buy back promise, I was informed by them the coins I paid $87 for just 11 months earlier, seemed to be worth only $50. Why? Did the spot price for metals drop after my purchase? No; it actually went up. It appears, with Fisher's help, I had paid over double what the coins were really worth, a 100% markup. Why? One word, the so called "premium".

Understand, they were all too happy for me to pay them $87.00. Now the coins were only worth $50? WOW!

Who set that premium? Was it Fisher? Only they can answer that. Okay, but why did the premium for these specific silver coins disappear? Never did get a straight answer on that one.

I offered, and was ready to accept, $75 so Fisher could keep $12. He refused. He said the $87 price I paid for the 2 oz. Canadian Orcas wasn't "supported" in the market. Why? Was he the market? Apparently, he didn't want the coins either. He especially didn't want them at much over spot, around $48 ($24.00 an ounce).

Several stressful calls and days later, after I "negotiated" with them directly and, because I was desperate (my mistake), we settled on $65 per coin.

However, (and here's the kicker) in order to get him to agree on paying me $65 per coin, I had to sign Fisher's "general release", (basically an NDA). Why? Could it be that I was asking for money on a partial withdrawal that was too much for them to fulfill?

That seems to be standard business practice in the gold industry. But you have to ask the right questions and understand something very important; how much of your money will you get back when you need to sell? That's liquidity and it's all about the market.

Where is the market? Do you have access to it? Can you see prices like for the stock market? Who controls the prices? What stops Fisher from being the only market for their customers? Nothing. Their word? Buy low from one customer and sell high to the next sucker, right?
I was told several times they don't hold any inventory, Why should they? Once they get your money, they can buy gold and sliver from a mint or another dealer at a low spot price and then charge you anything they want and call it a premium. And folks like me go along if the story is good.

Your account will not show you a retail price on purpose. The retail price is based on what a dealer is willing to pay you for your coins. Ask yourself, did you buy the right coins from Fisher or just the ones you were told are in demand?

If you are a collector, then maybe you buy and pay the premium price. But do not assume what you are told is exclusive. How can you get a better picture of the demand? Research.

Some will try to lay this off as "buyers remorse". Do I remorse seeing my life's savings cut in half? You bet! My biggest remorse is not what I did, but with whom I trusted.

Listen, I know, as a 69 year old man living on Social Security, I should never have put all my trust and savings into buying gold and silver from Fisher. I have failed my family. Biggest gut punch of all!
