Flat Iron, Borough was so friendly but not over the top. We enjoyed the food so much, partly because it was such a great price, but it was genuinely really fantastic. The atmosphere was really good and the ice cream was delicious and a lovely surprise on the way out! Very efficient service. One of the best meals of the year! We hope you come to Leamington Spa!!

Dear Flat Iron Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent visit to your restaurant. On 8 October 2024, my friend and I were left waiting outside for 40 minutes due to not having a reservation, despite there being plenty of room inside.

When I approached a staff member named Kelly to address the situation, I found her to be rude and dismissive. After confronting her about the available seating, we were finally seated, but the experience left me feeling upset and discriminated against, especially as we were the only Black patrons present.

I hope you take this feedback seriously to improve your service for all customers.

First time eating at Flat Iron in Manchester. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff and most importantly great food!
No fussy menu with loads of options. They're just good at what they do: steaks! Very tender, reasonably priced and lovely tasty sides. Lovely ice cream on your way out too. Would definitely go again.

Best steak/best burger ever!
Our first time at Flat Iron, went with our adult kids and my wife for her birthday.
I'm sorry I didn't get the name of our host but he was a lovely guy with Welsh Ballroom Dancing written on the back of his t-shirt. He was very attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu.
The place was busy but it had a great atmosphere, toilets were clean and the Old Fashioned whiskey cocktail is highly recommended!
Very happy that our kids made the choice to take us there.

Giving 1 ⭐️ for their sneaky misleading service charge hidden in the bill, without asking they enter the amount with the tip wanting you to pay, basically forcing the customer to ask the waiter in front of everyone to charge you for the food. Tips are optional in the UK and should be discretionary and up to the customer to leave it if they are happy with the service.

I will keep giving 1 star because we need to stand up to this, we are not the US, so stop following their tipping ways and make customers go thru the embarrassment of asking the waiter to charge them the REAL amount for what we have consumed and not take their service for granted.

The service was not good and what bothered us the most that the male waiter on Saturday 30th March at 3.30pm downstairs just started his shift when he went back to the bar mentioned in high voice table X was charged and not left the tip, the 4 staff their looking at us with very bad faces.
Awful service all the staff downstairs but giving a shout out to the guy at the door greeting us and took us initially downstairs very energetic and nice. Hope the management fixes this as the food is quite good but will not be returning there.

I've got to say they do not care about their customers. Booked a month in advance for my son's 18th birthday but received no confirmation of the booking. No phone number to call the company or the restaurant. They do not reply to emails so thought it best to place another booking but they were full so we ended up going elsewhere. 15 minutes before our original booking we received an email saying they were looking forward to seeing us!
How hard can it be to communicate?
I would avoid if you can as they do not care about their customers.

The food at this establishment is good value. However, they surreptitiously add "optional" fees to the bill, which I believe is totally outrageous. Flatiron: do not lecture me on charities. I give to charities and I do not need extra fees added to my bill on a night out to support your causes - causes which I might not agree with! Do not make these fees default. You are well aware that many customers might not notice them on the bill and contribute unknowingly. This is incredibly sneaky and dishonest of you.

I visited Flat Iron (various locations) a few times. I found the service at the restaurants excellent and enjoyed the food most times - except one when the stake came out rare/very blue rather than medium-rare as I’d ordered. However I am very disappointed by whatever team oversees their email address for enquiries. I emailed that address three times over the last 2 years to ask about what cooking oils are used in the beef dripping chips - whether it’s pure beef dripping or if this is mixed with other oils, and I never received a response. I don’t understand why they refuse to reply. Surely as a customer I have the right to know what’s in the food I order?

We were attended by Arthur and wow! I’m speechless!!! He is so caring and knowledgable about the menu. We took his recommendation and had a fantastic meal! Don’t miss that garlic mash potato, to drop dead! Espectacular food! Oh, and the wine! Malbec Flat iron that’s the one!

Excellent food, excellent service. fantastic value. Free ice cream cone at the end. What more can you ask? Oh let’s not forget the popcorn at your table on arrival!
We had the flat iron steak plus creamed spinach. We had the chips and mash to share and wow the mash is amazing!
Definitely going back.

Flat iron makes my favourite stake in the world. There is no better place for wood quality stake at an affordable price

For under £25 you can get a steak sides and a drink with an ice cream at the end, we got the creamed spinach as a side and obviously the flat iron steak as a main, the ice cream at the end is amazing too, honestly can’t wait to come back, would recommend to anyone

Most amazing steak ever, and you can't beat the price!

Took my daughter to Kings Cross after a day in London. Steak absolutely delicious and fantastic sides - chips and mash were fantastic. Relaxed atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. And unbelievable prices, would not get such a brilliant meal for 2 for the price we paid "up north". Wish there was a branch local to us, think i'd move in!!

The Cut location by Waterloo. Fantastic quality steak & burger meal. OMG the fries and mushroom sauce! Great service. Kudos to our server Josh and manager Carlos for a great lunch. We'll be back soon!
