Thank you to Forester’s for a great night. We were having a family get together and after a few phone calls to other places we decided to meet up at Forester’s. Great decisions. Right through from our original enquiry to the actual evening we could not fault the service. Thank you to the Manager Hannah and all the staff that took care of us, Shannon and Scott were on the ball with our drinks service and all the food orders were correct and piping hot! Five stars to all the staff for looking after us!! There was a group of 17 of us, and it all ran like clockwork. We have to say well done to the Chef and all the kitchen staff, the food was delicious. Most of the party are not local to Edinburgh and all agreed Forester’s is a real gem of a place.
We all know where our next family event will be held - Forester’s for sure!! 🌟

Food was good, but not amazing. I was a little dissapointed by the fact that I arrived to a basically empty establishment, so assumed service would be fairly swift and I could get back to work with ease. After ordering, we waited approximately 40 minutes before i checked with our server, at which point we were told that they had 'lots of bookings that take priority'. This in itself isn't an issue for me, but it would have been nice to have been told this when being seated. The delay meant that we had to rush our food when it did eventually arrive and caused me to be late back to work which ruined our dining experience.

We’ve been here a few times now and usually book a beach hut which is lovely in all weathers as they have heaters in them too.
Myself and my fiancé were here last weekend for lunch, the food was lovely and the service was honestly amazing.
Hannah and Maisie were our waitresses, they couldn’t do enough for us they were pleasant , knowledgable about the menu and really did make us feel so welcome, lovely girls.
Also the gentleman who greeted us front of house was really friendly and lovely, didn’t catch his name but he’s tall with dark longish hair.

Great staff makes you want to return
