I have just had my second appointment with Fergus. Both times the experience has been very relaxed, everything explained fully and the actual procedures were very gentle.
The whole outfit are very friendly and assuring with very pleasant and comfortable waiting areas.
I shall be back.

Ive been a patient at Fourways Dental Practice for many years and have always had a positive experience.

I have recently had a tooth extraction, but prior to that I would like to thank Avi and the staff involved for the help I received.

Also a big thankyou to Fergus and his dental nurse for making my procedure such a positive, stress free and painless experience. The following day I received a call regarding my recovery. I was happy to say " all was well ".

Its now day 6. There has been no bleeding, hardly any swelling and I'm pain free.

Therefore, I would highly recommend Fergus who has a really kind and caring manner and all the staff at Fourways Dental Surgery.

I have been a patient of both Avi and Vicky for many years and have always had the very best of care from them both. They are honest, caring and professional and I trust their judgement completely. Avi has gone above and beyond for me, even extracting a tooth on Christmas Eve. I would recommend them 100%

I’ve been a loyal patient here for some time and have never previously missed or cancelled an appointment. Yesterday I woke up unwell with flu-like symptoms. I missed a call from the practice at 9:09am and called back just 10 minutes later, explaining I was unwell and offering to reschedule for the same day. Despite this, I was told my £80 deposit would be forfeited and that to rebook I would need to pay a further £80 deposit on top of the full cost of treatment upfront.
I find this deeply unreasonable. There was no consideration given to the fact this was a first ever missed appointment, that I was genuinely unwell, that I responded within minutes, or that I was proactively trying to reschedule. A blanket, inflexible policy applied without any discretion or goodwill is not the mark of a patient centred practice.
It’s also worth noting that treating a patient with active flu like symptoms raises its own questions, so my absence may well have been in everyone’s interest.
The clinical care I’ve received here has always been excellent, which makes this all the more disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with no confidence in how the practice treats patients as people rather than transactions. I won’t be returning.

Update:

To clarify the practice’s characterisation of my call: I did not simply “forget” my appointment. I overslept due to being unwell with flu like symptoms. These are not the same thing, and I’d encourage anyone reading to consider that distinction. I called back within minutes and was willing to reschedule for the same day.
I accept I misstated one detail in my original review — I was not asked for the full treatment cost upfront, only a further £80 deposit. I’m happy to correct that. Although this is not insignificant as you imply by saying ‘only’.
My core concern remains: no discretion was shown for a first ever missed appointment where I was genuinely unwell and responded promptly.

I had another pleasant visit with Avi today, for a few skin tags and a seborrhoeic wart to be removed. It was 100% painless and stress free, and I was totally put at ease and made to feel very comfortable at all times. Thanks again, Avi.

Visited the practice today on the off chance I could be seen, as suffering from toothache, and was fitted in after a very short wait and given an xray straight away. Super impressed with their care .

THE most amazing dentist I've ever used. I had problems years ago and met Dr Avi Riley after using several dentists. I then followed her around until she based herself in borough green, Fourways Dental Practice. I travel all the way from Suffolk to Kent to have my teeth checked, cleaned, whitened, filled etc. Not only do I trust her implicitly with my teeth but she has also made my teeth look amazing. The most gentle dentist I've ever used. Just really good at her job. Since using her I've never had anymore problems with my teeth. I don't know how teeth can improve with age but she is a magician!

As a very nervous patient I was so reluctant to see a dentist. Dr Avi Riley put me completely at ease and I now wonder why I was so scared! Excellent in every way possible. Thankyou Fourways!!
