Excellent products

Excellent products, I wanted a water butt that was more attractive than the rest. Whilst they're not cheap they are unique and different and I bought some connecting accessories too. Despite being a large item was delivered quickly with plenty of comms. Would purchase again

Best price and excellent customer service.

Orders #23085/#23590
I purchased a Graf 1330L Top Tank - at a considerably lower price than any other retailer was offering - the tank was delivered on schedule with no problems. When I later sought advice on installing an additional tap to the tank. I was promptly provided with detailed information on the process and the components that I would require. These were easily ordered online and delivered a few days later. Based on my positive experience I would not hesitate to recommend FreeFlush.

We approached freeflush to help

We approached freeflush to discharge an onerous planning condition related to SuDS. It was clear from the initial call that dealing with these type of conditions was their day to day business. We used their calculation service. The service was clear, simple and the output was provided in the original timescale. The calcs were submitted and approved. Months later when we came to implement the above ground solution tank we engaged freeflush to supply the components; tank, restrictor etc. All the products arrived on site and freeflush were available for queries we had on site when fitting. Excellent experience and would use again.

Amazing experience

Amazing experience. I needed two water butts with all the relevant bits. I was clueless so I rang and Holly answered. What a joy she was. Took me through it all and made it painless.

100000% recommend the Grecisn Urns

I bought 2 x Grecian urns for the garden which we absolutely love. Injtially I was disappointed they were plastic BUT actually they work so well and look so amazing. Friends and neighbours all instantly commented and loved them. Well worth the money. Great proce compared to others we saw in garden centres which weren't nearly as substantial.

Lovely!!

I asked this company if there had any spare pieces I could use for my classroom set up. They gave me so much and I was so greatful. Junaid helped me fit it all in my car and cut everything down to size and was so lovely.

Excellent customer service.

I have recently bought a chamber and associated kit from Freeflush to satisfy our SuDS requirements on a new build. Both Holly and Lauren were very helpful in dealing with my 'daft' questions (I am the houseowner not the groundworker!) and Jay has been really helpful in making sense of the drawings we have and how the requirements might be implemented on the ground.
I drove from North Wales to Manchester to collect the kit required - we needed it before the delivery could be arranged - and the staff at Freeflush couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you all.

Bought a Prestige Water butt as theirs…

Bought a Prestige Water butt as theirs was the best price I could find. Rather taken aback that they sell them on Ebay for £350 more than their website price!
As to the comment about tap fitting surely it makes sense to fit the tap before it's on the wall?
You can then fill the tank with some water to test for leaks without the hassle of removing it.
I find ours fills up fast enough for my needs.
As it's on the patio and visible it's so much nicer than a free standing waterbutt and slim enough not to block the walkway.

Great service & product

Great service & product. The Prestige Wall Mounted Water butt seems to be really nicely made (and great that they are also made in the UK). I ordered two units, but forgot to add the connector to the order. I contacted support who sent it out immediately and it arrived the next day (FOC). Many thanks!

Ordered three butts

Ordered three butts. Long delivery time compounded by delivery company unable to find our house. Order resent still took ages with one being abandoned on our doorstep at 22.50pm! Fitting instructions not good. Fittings very poor. Wall mounted butts have two bungs each. You remove one and fit the tap. First time it rained both leaked - not the tap that I fitted but the factory fitted bung! On attempting to tighten they both broke! Due to more expected rain I ran out and bought the only thing I was sure of - 2 more taps (£16) from B&Q! No leaks. No help from Freeflush just an apology.
If you want these items I’d look elsewhere.

Freeflush / Prestige water butt … abysmal customer service and instructions, poorly designed product

I ordered a Prestige wall mounted water butt online from Freeflush toward the end of May and arranged that a neighbour (who works in the building industry) assist with the installation, which he did, following the printed instructions that were sent out with the product … these stated that the butt should be fixed to the wall and the tap fitted, by threading into the hole on left/right, as the final step … unfortunately it was only at this point that we realised that the tap simply didn’t fit, after a number of attempts using dish washing liquid and vaseline (as later advised by a member of the customer services team who tried to be helpful but was generally not well informed or trained).

When I called to advise that the tap did not fit I was put through to a member of the sales team who rather than listening to what I had to say (i.e., if someone who works in the building industry can’t fit the tap, following the instructions, and without damaging the product then it is defective) refused to accept that this was the case and wasted my time by ‘mansplaining’ how to thread the tap in and said that I’d have to arrange to return the item myself if not satisfied … when I called back to complain about the poor customer service (and product) a more junior person in the team mentioned that the butt needs to be on its side (i.e., not already screwed into the wall) for the tap to fit as per the instructions now posted on the website … she appeared to be blissfully unaware of the fact that the printed instructions that were sent out are completely different (which would imply that there is an issue with fitting the tap when the butt is fitted to the wall but the manufacturers haven’t bothered themselves to not send out wrong instructions).

Situation did not improve from there as the butt was already fixed to the wall and I couldn’t justify wasting the neighbour’s time to uninstall and attempt to refit the tap, the most that Freeflush would do (when I kept going back to them) was book a delivery to return the butt, etc. but nothing else to cover my cost and frustration.

I’ve since ordered the same butt from a garden supplier that I use, would have preferred another product but the drainpipe had already been cut and brackets fitted (opted to use better screws than the poor quality ones that were issued), did cost more but couldn’t be asked to deal with Freeflush if there was another issue … the instructions that were sent out (presumably by Freeflush as the supplier) with that also stated that the tap should be fitted as the final step (did manage to insert before fixing to the wall this time) but -unsurprisingly- the sight level tube does not fit the plug that was supplied so water leaked out when filled, have now refitted the stopper plug and can only recommend that anyone reading this look elsewhere for a better product and more competent supplier; not a brilliant endorsement for UK manufacturing as promoted by Freeflush either. Oh well.

Initially I asked for underground tank…

Initially I asked for underground tank calculations which were wrong when they arrived, they didnt notice until I raised a question about the calcs. The material list from them for same tank were wrong and they forgot to add over £1000 worth of items until I questioned them! Would not recommend or use again.

Great service

Found a part I needed on their website. Emailed for advice on sizing and fitting, received a reply within 20 minutes. Ordered, & then received part the next day by standard delivery. Part was exactly what I needed. Very impressed.

Product fundamentally flawed and…

Product fundamentally flawed and hopeless customer service.

The prestige wall mounted butt design appears clever but fails on the basic premise- most the water still goes down the spout as it flows back from the flap.

The bolts are of inferior quality and the butt came away from the wall as it filled up. The tap is cheap and snapped early on.

Numerous messages of Facebook before they responded promising a call which never happened.

Avoid!

It is not that bad BUT

It is not that bad BUT

We ordered a black barrel and was sent a grey one, I suspect they didn't have black as I asked 3 times "what did I order"? with no answer.
We had to pay to return the barrel but at least they didn't charge delivery for the right one.
Seems to be working and looks neat.
For what they charge it must a very profitable company.........invest more in customer communication as per the other review.

Dire and misleading communications

I spent ages looking for a decorative water butt and settled with Freeflush.co.uk. When I went to order, I found misleading information on the website. Freeflush agreed that this was the case and quickly amended the details.

Just before I placed my order I called to check some details but when the water butt arrived I found that several were incorrect, the most important for me being that the water butt did not have a bottom drain as stated. This is when my troubles started. I stated that I was a dissatisfied customer but was not dealt with efficiently. I made calls that were not answered and on one occasion I provided (as asked) several days that I would be at home and able to take a call back. The call never came and I had to chase. I then found that I could not get through on my home number but could on another. Doubtless I was considered a nuisance and suspected that my number had been blocked. Towards the end of a protracted e-mail exchange I received an e-mail from the "Senior Raindrop Co-ordinator"! I cannot imagine that a company would be so unprofessional as to make up an e-mail address as some sort of joke but this seemed a very unlikely title for an employee.

The trouble was that I loved the look of the water butt so even though the incorrect information given to me made it less than ideal for my use, its looks won over and I decided to keep it and even bought another. However had I been given the correct details originally I would probably have bought something else.

Like probably everyone else, I occasionally have had problems with purchases but have always had good final resolutions more often than not often without even having to ask. In this case I was offered and eventually provided with a free diverter but this hardly made up for all the hassle and the fact that the water butt did not match the specification I was given.

Freeflush has a good range of products and actually thanked me when I placed an order which was excellent but if the sort of communication I experienced subsequently was anything to go by I could not recommend it.
