The best WW2 airsoft events in the UK!

I’d always been interested in WW2 in particular. Having tried a few milsims over the years, I was looking for the next big thing. That’s when I stumbled across a video on Facebook of World At War with Frontline Events.
I figured it looked good so I put together a basic US kit. It was amazing! Players and staff were friendly, the gameplay was fantastic, the food was excellent… It all just kept me coming back for more. That was about 5 years ago now.
I now find that playing a regular Airsoft game just doesn’t hit quite the same and need a Frontline event to scratch that itch.
I’ve been to various places up and down the country for incredible events as British and American WW2 and even recently a S.T.A.L.K.E.R event “The Zone” a ground breaking custom app.
I’ve already signed up for the next event!

Frontline Events is a historic airsoft milsim provider in the UK. I’ve been doing Frontline Events for 5 years, and it’s rare for me to do local airsoft because Frontline Events gives me a much better experience and has a fantastic community.

They mostly do WW2 events, but they also run Vietnam War, Soviet-Afghan War and other conflict events.

If you want a good military experience, a crazy experience, and something that can get brutal, this is definitely for you. The community and the team are always there to help with kits, advice and tips.

One of my favourite events was Matanikau Patrol – Milsim Pacific, a WW2 event. I was part of it and was running the Japanese team with another officer supporting me. It was so much fun and a great experience playing as Japan. It was a completely different world.

We did a Banzai Charge, Japanese Camp & Hospitality, and even a Katana Duel.

Advertising of events is very clear, purchasing tickets and extras is very easy through the website. At the event everyone is welcoming and helpful, The action and involvement during their events is very engaging and excinting! Cannot recommend Frontline Events highly enough as you only get 5 stars.

Great WW2 milsim event, excellent teamwork and turn out

One of the absolute best airsoft event organisers. The level of detail they put into the scenarios and props is 2nd to non. A brilliant and friendly atmosphere throughout the weekend. The social on the Friday and Saturday nights are worth going along for on there own.

Since my first ever game at their Sangro Defences event in 2023, I’ve always had a fantastic time with Frontline Events. The quality of their events, organisation and atmosphere are second to none, and I honestly haven’t experienced anything better by a long way.

There’s a real attention to detail that makes every event feel immersive and memorable. The team are passionate, welcoming and always put on an incredible experience.

I can’t recommend Frontline Events enough and I’m always looking forward to the next one!

Accurate Milsim gameplay, good socials and the members are rop notch for support.
And if you like STALKER there's even events for this!

Over the past couple of years I’ve done half a dozen Frontlines events, and it’s been some of my favourite airsoft I’ve ever done.

I really like how Frontlines provides immersive historical scenarios while promoting reasonable kit standards for the teams. The latter is important to me because when you turn up and see guys who have genuinely put effort into their kit, it adds so much to the immersion.

Their WW2 events made me feel like I was playing old-school Call of Duty, but with realistic combat - as far as airsoft allows. As someone who also enjoys Cold War equipment, especially Vietnam and Soviet-Afghan War kit, Frontlines’ milsim games give me the chance to actually use the variety of retro military kit I’ve collected over the years.

Then there’s the Zone, where we can properly roleplay as if we were playing the STALKER games. The Frontlines custom app is very unique and absolutely worth experiencing if you’re a fan of the post-apocalypse theme in gaming. The LARP side is next level as well, especially with the FLETZ-D app mechanics adding another layer to the experience.

The best part, though, is the lads I’ve met through the events. They’re always fun to fight alongside and against during BB warz, and then have a beer with afterwards at the socials.

Overall, I really appreciate the effort the FL team puts into their events, social media and promotion. One of my biggest positives about Frontlines is that it feels like a community rather than just an event host. The effort they put into making extra material like kit guides, documents and social media content helps build an atmosphere around the events before you’ve even arrived.

Frontline Events sets the bar for historical milsims. Since my first event in 2020, I haven't looked back. The crew’s dedication to historical authenticity—from narrative design to detailed props and functional historical vehicles—creates an incredible level of realism on the field. If you’re looking to get your historical milsim fix, do not sleep on them!
