search for "functional patterns scam" and contact them directly on instagram, you will see for yourself
edit: Massive influx of positive reviews all around the same date. How peculiar.
I was simply trying to get a bit of reassurance that their methods are real and effective before I jump on board and hand over my money for a back injury I have been dealing with for years. I communicated with 3 separate representatives of the organization (1 local to me and 2 international including @johnmarshallnielson who features heavily on their main instagram account's content) and everytime I was met with defensive and condescending responses that rarely try to directly address my concerns and mostly redirect to vague and obtuse statements along with very subjective observations about myself that have nothing to do with my concerns. Things like "you don't like accountability" or "you've already made your mind up" or "you are a time waster" or "you don't even have a profile picture." Like OK sure, lets just accept these types of statements are valid and true. What kind of company says this kind of thing to potential clients? Also, when are you going to address everything else, if anything at all, regarding my actual concerns???
They may address your concerns if they think they can but it's almost always in such a poorly thought out argumentative way that reveals so much and is very telling of the kind of people behind Functional Patterns. If you manage to bring up undeniably valid and logical points they will quickly go into damage control mode, delete your comments and block you as I experience on 2 separate accounts. Happy to provide evidence should Trustpilot request verification.
Anyone who does a quick search for "functional patterns scam" can see there is so much push back against this organization regarding their claims. I encourage anyone to visit their instagram to see just how prevalent their immature and dismissive behavior is towards so many people that question their methods even when it's in a neutral or friendly way. Professionals from other similar well established (far more established than Functional Patterns) who engage with them on instagram are so often told their field is nonsense, regardless of what science or evidence it has already brought to the table.
They tout things like "functional patterns has been around for over 10 years" and immediately contradict that with "science and evidence will be provided in due time to silence skeptics." 10 years and still no tangible objective based evidence to back up their claims... "yet."
Honestly, I think there is some merit behind their techniques but it appears to be all directly linked to exercise in a very general sense and not directly connected to FP's methods. Happy to admit I'm wrong if they ever do provide that scientific evidence.
Helped scoliosis and pain
Functional Patterns has massively helped my mild scoliosis and back pain.
Terrible attitude
Even though stuff they teach in the online course is pretty good (I only bought that one for now), their activity on Instagram account is terrible. They promote themselves by bashing yoga, and after I disagreed with what FP representatives said and called them out, they blocked me. Instead of coming up with a valid argument, or simply ignoring my comment, they blocked their own paying customer. I want a refund if my money is not good enough for you.
They dont tell you on their homepage…
They dont tell you on their homepage that you only have acess to the course for 1 year, it only says after you buy. That should be made clear before buying(think its even illegal not to) and every time i try to write in their support, the homepage freezes(have tried several browers and the same happens) so for now i cant get in contact with them.
