Armstrong's were absolutely brilliant in helping to arrange my father's funeral and made the whole process simple and straightforward at a time when there are so many decisions to be made.

I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a caring and professional service from a very friendly team.

Dedicated, Respectful. Compassionate are just a few words that resonate with me on how Armstrong’s and in Particular Lewis Dunnett arranged and directed Dad’s (Mike’s) Funeral. From the first call to the first meeting, Lewis was there every step of the way and made it very easy for Mum. Claire and I, in such a sad and difficult time. The service Lewis arranged was nothing short of beautiful and flawless. Dad would have been, as we were all delighted to see such reverence from the whole team involved on the day. Lewis has such brilliant listening skills and talent to ensure all of the for mentioned went effortlessly. Also the follow up Lewis has given has been so sincere and heartfelt. I would recommend Armstrong’s who are an independent funeral service to any one! Mr Nick Armstrong you have a wonderful team who are credit to you and your business. I cannot find words enough to thank Armstrongs and their staff, particularly Lewis Dunnet, for all the kindness and sensitivity in helping me and my family to make the arrangements for my husband's Funeral. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was done to turn a day of sadness into a day of celebration and memories, thank you all.

Oliver, who headed up the team looking after my late dad, on the day of the funeral, was brilliant. He rang me the night before to introduce himself and assured me everything was ready. On the day he led with extraordinary dignity and sensitivity.
Organising the funeral of a loved one can be so daunting, especially if there are no other local family members to help, yet I felt nothing was too much trouble and attention to detail was fantastic. From the first phone call to being dropped off at the Wake, I felt I mattered and more importantly my dear Dad mattered too. There were a number of little, yet profound kindnesses shown, going the extra mile. I was and continue to be so touched.
Thank you for helping to make such a time of sadness into a time of celebration for a life well lived.
You really are a remarkable team and I have no hesitation in recommending you to others.

Nick and his team were fantastic at my Mums funeral recently , as they were at my Dads 8 years ago. They are truly very professional, and sympathetic at the same time. There was one person who stood out , that was Lewis , he was there for me the whole time and it was so nice to speak to the one person always as you didn’t have to repeat yourself , so I really appreciated the continuity. We would like to thank the entire team at Armstrong’s for the care and compassion they provided the family at a very difficult time. They took care of every aspect from our initial meeting through to the service. The entire process was smooth and problem free and they ensured every aspect of the service was exactly to our Dad’s wishes.
Their professional and caring approach gave us confidence that our loved one was being well cared for and the check-in phone calls made us feel supported and gave us further reassurance. The many little touches including the planting of a memory tree were very thoughtful. We would highly recommend their excellent, professional, and caring services.

From the minute I rang Armstrong’s and spoke to Nick in the early hours of the morning - I felt at ease and knew that the whole team would be there for me to help me through the days after my mother in laws passing with all the arrangements that mum and dad had requested when they pre-paid for their funerals back in 2010 . At times I was tearful / panicking about arrangements/ getting it all sorted in time but Lewis especially always made me feel much calmer when I had to speak with him on the phone and when we first attended the office to sort arrangements. I cannot fault anything at all . Just the care attention and compassion you need- it’s so hard trying to sort these things at the best of times let alone when you are grieving. The whole team were very understanding of the situation with Dad too being 91 and coping with loosing his wife of 65 years . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Armstrong’s to friends and family .

Review of Armstrong’s Funeral Service from Bury St Edmunds July 2021
Throughout the process the staff, and particularly Fiona Humby, were very approachable and gave assistance offering thoughts from their knowledge and experience. Something many of us are short of at this critical time.
One aspect was annoying, but small in the scale of all that needed doing. However, having made a request for care and English (not American) spelling to be used in the Order of Service a change was made BUT then in a later version, prior to final printing we found that the change in spelling had been undone – it was back to American. It was at the time very annoying as I, having just lost my Wife, was already very stressed. They do need to check that changes once requested are retained consistently (and not reversed – so the change is lost). I think it was due to a sub-contractor they use, but the buck stops with them to ensure this sort of thing does not happen. They know of this and will hopefully ensure others do not get this SMALL problem.
I have to say that overall I would be happy to use their services again.
