Cancelled event, no refund ever issued
They cancelled my recent event saying a refund would come. It hasn't, despite emails. Nobody answers emails or the phone. Terrible customer service.

I signed up for an event and paid in advance. The event organiser cancelled last minute due to illness (which was fine - it happens and I have no issue with this). They were very apologetic and invited me to select an alternative date or seek a refund through the Funzing site. I wanted to re-book but wasn’t sure when I would be next free so decided fo get a refund for now with the full intention of re-booking at a later date.
I emailed Funzing to explain the situation and received no reply - not even an automated acknowledgement that my message was being processed. After several email attempts and absolutely no response at all, I belatedly did some research and discovered this company have a reputation for not replying to customer complaints. I immediately contacted by bank and opened a disputed transaction claim. My bank have just credited me the full amount back to my account. I would urge anyone else experiencing similar problems to do so as well. Do not let these cowboys away with keeping your money if the events they are managing fall through.

Absolute scam company
Absolute scam company. Paid for an event to which they were sending reminders of for months. Travelled an hour and a half to the event only to find out it was cancelled with no warning. They now are ignoring multiple emails Ive sent asking for a refund. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS
Awful customer service
They used to be good, but now their phone is never answered and emails are ignored. They are almost unreachable when issues arise. It took me several months of chasing to get finally paid for an event I hosted.

I published a funzing experience sometime it did not get approved.
The approval process took months longer than it was supposed to -and I was not informed as to whether I'd been approved or rejected at all.
I had to contact them and got a response that provided no answers, stating broad terms such as my event was great, but also not right (yet with no idea why or how I should change my future event posts)
they make vague statements like "We will be in touch in the future if/when it becomes relevant" when instead they should just give guidelines to improve your chances

Total scammers have not been paid for an event I run. They only ever seen to do something with you complain but this last time I have been left out of pocket.

Also as a host, you don't receive guests' email addresses so it's impossible to build your mailing list using this company. I wonder if I will ever see the money from my ticket sales?

Amazing idea - except its not real. As you can see in the 'upcoming events' (no doubt removed when you see this), the event we were going to was advertised. We got a reminder email yesterday. Shame, the 'host' was informed his talk was canceled over a month ago BEFORE WE BOOKED AND PAID. Rip off and con artists. Don't risk your hard-earned money for these criminals.

I have purchesed a ticket for one of Funzing events, which resulted in me being automatically subscribed to a PAID membership without my consent. Funding robbed me with over £80 and refused the refund me the stolen amount when I reached out to them in a very rood and unprofessional manner. Avoid at any cost! This is a scum!

Also they took an additional payment, and no one will contact me back about getting a refund even though my code doesn't work!
The talks are great, speakers are great. But the customer service really makes me question if the content is worth it.

Customer service is great, booked tickets but made a mistake on the dates but when I emailed them and asked if I could swap they replied straight away and changed my tickets without any problems, a great company who I will use again and I can’t recommend them highly enough
Love Funzing events
Love Funzing events, particularly talks. Such a great way to spend eve in London, gaining info and meeting people in a casual and friendly set up. All speakers I have heard were very knowledgeable and approachable. Talks come at as cheap as £12, or monthly membership also at £12 gives you an access to as many talks as you wish. Bargain! :)

Really enjoyed the talk last night. A nice introduction to the mind scramble that is Quantum physics, opened up some interesting discussions too. Credit to Dr Michael Brooks, who dealt with our crazy questions incredibly well. Would do this again!

Great website with many varied events…
Great website with many varied events to book. Attended my first which was Annie Machon talking, fascinating talk and to meet her. Attending the Professor David Nutt talk tomorrow night about Legalising Cannabis. Also gave me disabled ticket plus carer free which is so helpful. Will deginitely be booking more with them.

London walking tours with funzing
I have only used Funzing for guided walking tours of London, however, they were very well organised and you get better rates as well as occasional discounts.
