Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 60 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently faced issues with payment systems, finding them unreliable or unable to process transactions, often leading to unexpected charges. Many felt the resulting fines were excessive and unfair, citing unclear parking signage or restrictions at various locations. Reviewers also found the appeals process difficult, with many rejections, and struggled to contact staff for support, often encountering automated systems. However, some customers reported not receiving initial notices, leading to higher charges, and faced difficulties resolving these issues.

Scumbags!

This company represents everything that is wrong with our society today! 10minutes late back to my car as I was helping a elderly gentleman in a shopping centre and they charge £100…didn’t even receive a first notice with a chance for discounted payment…on a site that doesn’t charge for parking so you can’t even extend your time with an extra payment…scum bags!

Avoid any carpark operated by this company. A genuine visit to multiple shops and got stung for overstaying. As my car is through a lease company, they paid it without me being able to challenge it. Why are businesses outsourcing their carpark Management to crooks like these, puts me off ever shopping in person and doing everything online.

G24 - scam company? or genuine mistake?

I parked my car legally on 8th March in the Central Six Retail Car Park, Coventry much as I have been doing once a month on average for probably some 20 years... The car park gives you three hours FREE PARKING. For some reason G24 Ltd have issued me with a "Contractual Parking Charge Notice" stating that I have breached the terms & conditions of the car park. As far as I can see nothing has changed over 20 years and you are still allowed three hours free, I am therefore at a loss to know what terms & conditions I have breached as the car was there properly parked for less than two hours. All the notice ordering me to pay £70 says is that I "parked and left the site"... This is vague and stupid as surely every car that parks there does this??? Maybe this is a scam, but the form looks genuine with two photos of my parked car taken within ten seconds of each other, the second one being of the dashboard but as there are no metres to pay/display a ticket I'm not sure why they bother with the second photo. I will of course not be paying the fine and I'm looking forward to them trying to enforce this notice...

Shoppers beware

This company, for some unknown reason, delayed sending the parking charge for three weeks, thus leaving me only a few days to pay. Therefore, my cheque was sent the same day the parking charge was received.

My family and I have made many purchases at Wickes. My belief is that G24 is being run by a bunch of greedy, heartless crooks. This opinion is shared by the many many reviews on Trustpilot - that G24 is a scam company. They could have simply installed a pay machine or barrier, but have instead chosen to charge hundreds of pounds.

The car park is never overcrowded, nor are customers prevented from parking. In fact, the site could hold an army platoon. For several years the car park has been free for 90 minutes and I have never exceeded this time frame. Other, elderly and disabled, people obviously use the hospital end of the car park for occasional appointments. Imagine their distress when they receive a charge for £100!

This company cannot be legal.

This company cannot be legal.

I have been trying to pay the fine they sent me, but they got my reference number wrong. There is no way to contact them, the phone number was useless as they needed my reference number to put me through (which again was wrong), I tried emailing and going through the website with no answer.

I now have a letter from debt collectors and no way of receiving any help or advice.

Awful company

Awful company. Won’t accept my details when trying to appeal against a fine, but put the same details in to pay and you’re straight through. A fine for going to PureGym, which is the car park provided. Should not be allowed in 2024. Disgraceful.

Beware of parking at Robin Park Wigan

My Daughter Parked at Robin Park Retail Park in Wigan to do Christmas shopping.
She didn't know they had reduced the original 4 hours limit to 3 hours (180 minutes) since she was there last.
She overstayed by 28 minutes.
Recieved the notice of a £100 fine reduced to £60 if paid within 28 days. There is a good selection of stores and the nature of Christmas shopping means that you spend a while looking around. There are several good food and drink outlets there where you can get a drink or a bite to eat after shopping, adding more time to your visit. So reducing the time allowed from 4 hours to 3 hours is clearly a trap to catch the unwary shopper. A fine of £100 reduced to £60 is daylight robbery. Who comes up with a figure like that. Reduce it to £20, you'll still make a killing, especially around Christmas.

Don’t pay your fine - send this letter

I was 15mins over my stay in a b&m’s store and received two letters asking me to pay £90! I did not think this was justified so have appealed the ticket.
If you ignore it they can take you to a debt collectors & court so always better to respond.
Here is a copy of my letter (taken from

Again to continue my experience with…

Again to continue my experience with G24 - since BW legal which are their debt recovery legals, got in touch asking the payment of £160, I uploaded on their portal the photographs of the machine not working and my receipt from Sports Direct, which would have granted the free entitled parking time. Today BW replied asking more evidence and again suggesting to make the payment ; I phoned as it all doesn’t make sense and I basically got told that doesn’t matter the evidence, they do their client’s interest and will take me to court. They tried to threat and scare people, making you realize it’s easier to just pay, although unfair.
Not my dears, see you in court you scumbags fraudolent companies… along the other hundreds of people did not accept your extortion. I’m curious to see what a sheriff will do once seeing the fraud you place on people.

I would give 0 starts if I could

I would give 0 starts if I could. I got a fine from G24 being parked in my designed parking space (for that I pay monthly) and having the permit parking displayed in the windscreen. Ii was extremely difficult and time consuming to get support over the phone. The worst service I ever got, but I can understand why considering the reviews they have.

Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company, the letter says they offered me the £60 for paying within 14 days for parking over the 60 minutes! Which is fair enough but I was never offered such thing! Obviously no one can get in contact with them to complain and contest, so I have to pay £100 for going over by 15 minutes… No wonder people buy online! Complete and utter scum of the earth.
