I had the incorrect hat shipped to me. Gabriela was awesome is adressing the issue, keeping me current on the status of solving the issue AND solving the issue. She is a real asset for Gamboa and and a perfect example of what customer service should be. Yes, the issue was solved in my favor however, if it had not been, I still would consider Gabriela awesome.

POOR customer service and return…

POOR customer service and return policy. DONT BUY!!
Paid $60 for Panama hat. Arrived mishaped and they would not accept responsibility or the return. It was given as a gift so the time frame for return was also restrictive.

I was told to reshape it myself. Lol it was a $15 dollar hat they resold for $60 and they wanted me to reshape it myself

Not made from alpaca wool and strict return policy.

The poncho I ordered is definitely not alpaca wool and highly synthetic. It is rough and and uncomfortable. Return and refund is not possible only if product is damaged or if I received the wrong product because most products are "handmade and therefore unique for each client", which is not possible if it's synthetic mass produced. The quality of the product is awful and not as described in the description.

I really like the alpaca wool poncho

I really like the alpaca wool poncho. I ordered an alpaca wool poncho from a different company years ago and even though I liked it this one seems like it is softer and warmer. Only issue I had was the shipping took a little longer than it was supposed to.

Don't waste your money

Don't waste your money! I bought a panama hat, but I only used it 2 months later on a trip. The hat tore right at the front, at the top, after just 15 days! I contacted customer service and was told they couldn't do anything because it had been more than 10 days since the product was delivered. They offered a discount on my next purchase. I don't want a discount, I won't buy from this store again! You think you're getting a good deal, but it's actually a very expensive price for a low quality product!

Again, DON’T WATE YOUR MONEY! Here you have a good example on how terrible is their customer service.
I never said the hat arrived in bad condition! I bought it for my vacation (in advance of course) so I used it after 2 months for less than 15 days as I didn’t use it every single day. Even if I had used it for 2 months, don’t they say their product is very high quality?! A quality hat won’t tear after 2 months, much less after 15 days!!

We have carefully reviewed your order which was placed 8 months ago for a total of $91.40 CAD, unfortunately since your complaint was made 2 months after our returns and exchanges time limit we were not able to give you a better solution than a discount for a next purchase. We also want to clarify that the hat was not shipped damaged to you, it arrived in good condition and the tear only appeared after 2 months probably due the mishandling of the hat because the fibers are delicate and need care to maintain its good quality.

DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. They sell used products and you have find human hairs in their products like absolutely disgusting. Products are mentioned as new and plus these sweaters come pilling like someone wore it for Atleast a year. There’re other companies like Quince that offer better products for a higher price. I wish I can post pictures to show this atrocity. Crazy thing is you can’t even post a negative review on their website they will take it down 🤣

DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased a panama hat from Gamboa, and what I received did not match the quality shown in the pictures. The weave of the hat was very wide and not as fine as the pictures indicated; I would not have recognized what I received as a panama hat, as it looked more mass produced item than a handwoven article. Additionally, the brim was narrower in the front of the hat than on the sides, which is not the mark of a quality hat (I think it is a fairly reasonable expectation that the hat brim would be the same width on all sides of the hat). I contacted customer service within 2 days of receiving the hat and shared that the hat I received did not meet my expectations for quality, and that I believe it has a defect in the width of the brim, and had requested instructions on how to proceed with a return. I was informed that returning the hat was not an option, as they do not accept returns. I shared that their return policy clearly states, " "If you're not completely satisfied with the quality, fit or size of any item, you can return or exchange it within 10 days of receipt." Yet, customer service was unwilling to honor the policy. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
