AVOID
Imagine buying a pizza from Tesco. You get home and cook it for 15 minutes. You then begin to tuck into your pizza. Half way though, the manager from Tesco bursts through your front door, snatches the pizza, and throws £13.99 back in your face.
This is exactly how this company operates, but in the digital environment.

Human error
I too recently purchased Civ VI from Games Republic ridiculously cheap. The Black Friday sale was obviously a mistake, who in their right mind would sell AAA game 80% off just 1 month after it has been released with all DLC included?
While it is unfortunate that my game will also be taken away I dont think it's fair to punish the company this harshly. They returned my money without a hassle, gave everyone affected 25% discount coupon for their store and let us keep the extra game we got with the purchase. I think that is a fair compensation for any reasonable disappointment one might feel after this.

Revoked key
Shady website revokes keys.
Even if it was a "price mistake" it went on for half a day. I've purchased deals that have turned out to be errors before, which are usually caught within the hour of them occurring, and they were honored every single time by the seller.
The company posted a low priced game to collect everyone's information, let it run far longer than any "mistake" I've seen, revoked the key, and then pawned off a game they developed to everyone instead. Don't waste your time or give them your personal info.

Unfortunate Issues but doesn't make the Company Bad
Like others I was Sold a certain game on Black Friday but Human error meant the price was incorrect. They responded quickly to my email when the game did not appear. Refunded PayPal the same day. So YES of course its annoying and I was up to early hours in a queue to buy but this is becoming a simple case of human greed. The reaction are over the top. A mistake was made and they've offered 25% off as recompense. If as estimated typical profit margin is 30% on these games then 25% discount means they are effectively giving away a future title for free. To me that is more than enough a gesture and I don't think a vendetta is justified.

Horrible Company - Do Not Use For Any Reason
This company will violate their own terms and conditions when it is in their own best interest to do so. They can and will revoke your purchase at any time. It is not safe to buy anything from them as you never actually own whatever you bought.
Buy from almost anywhere else as long as it is not this company.

Paid for a game and key was later revoked.
Purchased a game in good faith and less than 24 hours later it was taken out of my Steam account because of a pricing mistake they had made.

They can process refunds, but we can't
Bought Civilization VI on an extreme black friday day and now they are taking it back and refunding my money even though I would prefer to keep the product. I am not allowed to get a refund from them if I wanted to, but they can apparently refund the product if they wanted to. If it was truly a price mistake, they, like many other organizations, should honor it and use this as a time to retain new customers. Now I will never be a return customer. Bad customer service.

Revoked Legitimate Purchase
Don't trust this company. Revoked a legitimate purchase - and they go out of their way to say no refunds, but can take your purchases back.

This company cannot be trusted
Bough a game on sale, then they said it was "mistake" and took my game away from my steam library. Possible tactic to collect your personal details. AVOID

Nothing Civilized about it
Ordered Civ 6 at the sale price and feeling quite good about it.
Started a new game, Sean Bean teaching me the ropes and I, in turn, was teaching the barbarians I wasn't to be messed with. Seoul were to the North and were looking for trade but I won't be the one to give it to them...
I was emailed 15 hours later saying that GamesRepublic made a mistake and the marked Sale price was an issue on their end and if I had already activated the game on your Steam account, the game will be deactivated and removed from my account soon.
If this were a physical shop then they would have had to cut their losses and grin and bear it. The fact this isn't even a physical item, just digital information makes it more disgusting.
Furthermore, how am I going to break it to the people of Seoul who are waiting for me to help them in this financially difficult time in a world full of barbarians like GamesRepublic.
If your order has any kind of issue...
...don't hope for Games Republic to act professionally about it !

What are european consumer protection laws anyway?
Not really relevant to this company and they will happily ignore european law to accomodate for their deceptive promotion tactics to gain more site views and registrations. MADE A DECEPTIVE DEAL AND REVOKED KEYS PURCHASED, DONT BUY KEYS HERE, YOUR ORDER IS NOT REALLY YOURS EVEN AFTER ALL CONFIRMATION IS SENT TO YOU.
Untrustable company that will revoke your keys if they wish to
They just went against their TOS to revoke the keys that were sold to people on their sale. No telling what they could do with your orders if they wanted to.
Shity website / Site de merde
Worst website ever for game code.
I buy a game during BF, GR give me game code and 15hours later told me it was a mistake."Unfortunately, it was too good to be true"
"The money for your order will be transferred back to your bank account" thanks ...
Give me stupid game free, 20% on next order ( that will never append)
jerk !
Ils reprennent le jeux, me redonnent mon argent et se foutent de ma gueule dans le mail d'excuse : "Unfortunately, it was too good to be true"
Ils offrent gracieusement 20% sur la prochaine commande ( YOUPI je m'en tape royalement) me forçant a consommer à nouveau sur leur site de merde.
Fuyez les !
Run away !
Buy Black friday Offer and Remove the Game from my account Steam
Buy Civilization VI but now they have sent me an email to remove the game from my account. When they go against their conditions ...
Are you going against your own terms and conditions? Your terms say you're obligated to honor it. It makes no mention of you being able to cancel orders because of pricing errors:
"(A) purchase shall be deemed made by the Parties upon recording the payment of End User at the Company's account," payment has been taken, so therefore "The Company is obliged to enable said download link to the fully paid Application" and that "All payments for the Applications are not refundable"
Under your terms purchases are final and can not be refunded unless the End User requests it, and you are obligated to provide the game once to purchase has been made. The purchase has been made by the End User and recorded by you, as shown by confirmation email, the game appearing in peoples accounts, the key being provided and the payment being taken. So, what do you want to remove to customers valid purchase made under your terms?
You have no right to take away my purchase.
Now they send me spam to the mail...
worst error Black Friday
Recovering a product after purchase should be prohibited even in case of error.

Crap site, doesn't honor their listed price. My game was revoked
Bought civ 6 and the game was revoked. Site doesn't honor listed price. I'm tight on money and was really excited to play civ 6. I thought I would never be able to play it for awhile and was super excited I was able to. This sucks, would never buy from them again

Horrible Experience purchasing from them
Did honour their purchase of a game because it was too cheap to them. I would not trust them with my purchase again. The sent apology coupon adds insult to the injury, because most games are cheaper even with it from other retailers. First and last time i purchased anything from them

Awful Company - Do not use
I purchased a game from them during the Black Friday sale and because of a pricing issue they somehow got the game revoked from my Steam account.
I would not buy from these cowboys again as you could well get any game purchased from them removed from your Steam account.
I am also seeking legal advice as this surely breaks Sales laws.
