Shocking service.
Be aware giving these guys your money. I purchased a game, spent hours playing the game - now they are telling me, they sold the game too cheaply and and revoking my key and steam access to the game.
Trying to buy a game but there was 505 error page
I saw that huge discounts during Black Friday and I am trying to buy a digital game but there was issue web server and changed error prices.
I waited 4 hours for creating accounts and lost my cart then changed error prices.
However, this website is not 24/7 human services and many problems with customers that I have read reviews.
Also not given me 25% discount code, not apologies unregistered customers.
Beware!

Easy & Quick
Got what I order quick and with ease. Also, a free game to boot!
Nice people, but the site has serious issues
Apart from the whole Civ VI disaster, this website has some serious problems to the extent that I cannot recommend it. First off, promotional codes are burned before the transaction completes, so if your transaction does not go through, too bad -- you lost your code.
Secondly, after numerous attempts I successfully bought another game. It appears I have been charged for it, but I cannot play it because it is stuck in "transaction in progress". While patience is a virtue, I could just as easily have bought the game from Steam and be downloading it now. Instead I have to wait for an unspecified amount of time for the transaction to be approved.
It's not a huge deal in itself, but this in combination with the other problems makes me think that Games Republic needs some serious revamping before it continues its business.
On the plus side, the representatives have been very cordial about these issues, and I respect that.

People need to see the bigger picture
I jumped onto this site for the civ vi sale offer on good Friday like many people. I waited over 4 hours to get the sale processed and immediately activated the code on steam to make sure it wouldn't be blocked by games republic when they realised the error.
Now yesterday like many people I got the email saying I would be getting a refund and the game removed from my steam account and like many people my instant reaction was anger and disbelief that this was legal.
But I've had time now to look at the bigger picture and realistically ill get this game at some stage for maybe £20 extra then what I paid. I can take that £20 hit. This company will have lost hundreds of thousands if not millions of pounds due to this error. Anyone that thinks they should take the hit is ridiculous and unreasonable.
But its ok to be angry and annoyed that a hard got deal has been taken off us, that fine. Now destroying a companies reputation and trust rating is taking it to another level and just pure bitterness and dangerous behaviour. Its beyond childish and downright wrong.
Anyone with any sense of honour or humility needs to adjust their ratings and let this business live on and prosper.
Everyone has made 1 mistake in their lives. Imagine people ruined your lives over that one mistake. Think people think!
Illegal forced refund
They price an item low by mistake (but still it was there was more than TEN hours !, process your transaction for HOURS (so lot of time to cancel the order) but finally give you the game, and then they refund you without asking and rewoke the game from your steam account like if you was a robber
Don't forget to fill a claim on ec.europa (the European commission) because this is ILLEGAL
I paid for their mistake. Dishonest marketing ploy gone wrong.
They incorrectly priced an item. I bought said item and was charged. Under UK consumer law we have then made the purchase and there are no refunds. The morning after the item was no available for redemption and they refunded me without my consent. On top of that, those who did manage to get the deal have been threatened that they will have the item removed from their Steam accounts. They have offered a meagre 25% discount but considering that most companies offer that regularly it is very pathetic. A quarter discount doesn't make up for breaking the law, unfortunately. Avoid these people in the future, I am fairly certain that their 'mistake' was just a marketing ploy to bring traffic to an otherwise fairly unknown game site.
Revoking orders due to their own mistake and not following rules and regulations
Below a snippet of the e-mail I send to them. Just want to give others a fair warning as to how they are treating (new) customers. First forcing them to register before putting down an order.
-----------
Dear Games Republic,
Just a small fyi, you are handling against (dutch) law with this action. Read more: https://www. acm. nl/nl/onderwerpen/consumentenrecht/prijzen-en-overeenkomsten/prijzen-bepalen-en-aanduiden/
Translated it states "if the price could be seen as valid, then the person selling it (ie Games Republic) is not allowed to revoke the sale".
Even though Civ VI has been recently released, prices have already dropped around 25-30 dollar. This being a Black Friday sale, it could have been a completely valid and legitimate offer.
Being this order for me was effectively standing in line for several hours (site being hammered) and getting a great deal on a game on one of the most famous days of the year when it comes to price drops / discounts. Simply saying "hey! human error we revoke" simply isn't allowed by law.
As Games Republic is seated in Malta, an EU country, you are bound to the same rules as we customers are.
Scammers
Bought Civ 6 Deluxe. All sales are final they say.
Now they are refunding me and revoking my key.
Such a joke.
Do not purchase - Scammers
An item I had purchased from them was unexpectelty revoked after the purchase complete, stating that they had made a mistake.
I assume they have whinged to Steam to try and class the keys as "Fraud" to revoked the key. Now my 350+ game deep steam account probs has a strike for fraud against it.
100% illegal operations stay well clear, no sale can be revoked without both parties agreeing after point of delivery. No matter if that is an online entity or a phyical store.
On the biggest discount day of the year do you not think its was a little suspicious that they hugely discounted a game and then claimed it was a mistake. Yeah yeah clearly just a bad tactic to increase footfall to their site, in the subsquent hope of pushing some more sales through of other items.
Scam scam scam, stay clear if you value your own time and money.
Do not purchase
You guys lost a lot of costumer because of your "mistake" and if i could refund everything i bought i would totally do it. At this point, next year they're going to do the same thing but it'll be to get more people registered to their crappy website.
Horrible business breaking their own Terms of Service for a "human mistake" and no, it's not a viable reason.
All sales, purchases and payments made through Games Republic are final and not refundable except if you reside in reside in the European Union. Yeah, sure. **** you.
First time dealing with them, first time having an order revoked
As reasonable as I want to be about it, it feels a little weird. I never had an order being unilaterally canceled before. The key has already been activated and I've started playing.
This review will be followed by an apologetic message from Games Republic. It's fine. It's the least they could do. I don't believe that they did it all on purpose (one of the best ways to advertise your business in the middle of a very competitive market could be that unorthodox distribution of 25% vouchers on Black Friday) but I still don't appreciate the outcome of it all. If you make a mistake, you shouldn't take the product back. Fix your practice, people.

Potential violation of their own Terms of Service
Leaving a "Price mistake" go for over 12 hours and then revoking all purchases was not handled all that well in my opinion. a tiny discount in return because you made a mistake for over 12 hours, I would have your lawyers look into this.
You do have lawyers, don't you?
Edit - As an online business, for instant steam keys, you have more of a responsibility in making sure price mistakes do not happen. Your actions are going to directly result in loss of business for not only your company but 2k games and steam as well if they do pull the redeemed codes we all have had for 5 days. And yes, it has been 5 whole days of customers who have purchased this game in the 12 hours this "error" was up. As a first time customer to your site, your continual mismanagement of things isn't really impressing me. Again, I sincerely hope you have a lawyer.

Will never buy from again
I have to agree with the other reviewers here. I have never seen a legitimate Steam key get revoked for a LEGITIMATE purchase, price mistake or not, and I find this a very troubling precedent for consumers. As a result I will never purchase anything from Games Republic ever again and will make sure to tell my friends and family as well.
It is quite ironic that GR is able to revoke and refund a purchase because of their own mistake, but if you, as a customer, purchase a game mistakenly from their website, you're out of luck for a refund because, as per their refund policy: "All sales, purchases and payments made through Games Republic are final and not refundable"
I would recommend everyone to avoid this store.
Edit: To the CS representative who replied to my review, could you please point out to me where it says that refunds are possible for people living outside the EU? I only see that all sales are final and not refundable:
1. Before making a purchase, it is your responsibility and obligation to make sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements specified on game's page and that you have the technical grounds for operating the game.
2. Games Republic does not take the responsibility for game operating on systems newer or different than specified in each game's system requirements.
3. All sales, purchases and payments made through Games Republic are final and not refundable except as expressly provided below:
4. If you reside in the European Union, you will have the right to withdraw from the purchase of a game you have made through Games Republic, for any or no reason, for up to 14 calendar days from your purchase ("The Refund Period"), subject to the following limitations:
So what you are saying is not true as per your own refund policy.

Had a game that I purchased revoked due to an error on their part. I did not exploit their service in any way. Saw it, bought it and had it taken away.

Good Company
I feel bad that this company is getting negative reviews for a price error. They refunded the money spent on the game, sent an email explaining the situation (and no, the email was not rude in any way but very apologetic), and offered a 25% coupon toward the next game(s) purchased.
Anyway, their sales are very competitive, the checkout process was painless, and the coupon worked.

UNPROFFESIONAL AND DISHONEST
Very poor service as regards purchase of Civilization 6. Appallingly rude and patronising emailed response. Very legally dubious revocation of a legally purchased game key that goes against their own terms and conditions and the contract of sale.
The rudeness in the email from games republic relates to the wording 'we NEED (my emphasis) to cancel your order' you CHOSE to cancel my order entirely for your benefit and to my detriment. I have no use for your offer of a discount and thus it is as worthless to me as your insincere apology. I am aware that games republic have not responded as of yet to how/why they are forcing this revocation upon the purchasers of these legally obtained keys given their own terms and conditions of sale.
