I was very pleased to find a Ridge Monkey product in stock at Garry Evans that was out of stock everywhere else. Placed the order at 3pm, was dispatched the next day and received the following day via UPS. I found the website a bit quirky, so phoned them up - call was answered quickly and the fella I spoke with knew all about my order and provided all the necessary information.

First class service, one of the items for my online order wasn’t in stock, they called me and offered a suitable alternative (better than the original one) which arrived less than 24hrs later! Absolutely delighted with my order and the customer service. Would definitely recommend and will certainly use again.

A VERY unfortunate and unacceptable incident today after my family have been using you since you opened here! I was parked in your car park this morning to take my kitten into the vet for her jabs (took literally 10minutes) and to then come into your store as I do frequently to receive a text from my sister because one of your employees were shouting and swearing at her threw the window to move the car, telling her to ‘get out of the passenger seat now and f***ing move the car’ this lady doesn’t drive due to disabilities so couldn’t do nothing about it and when she then shook her head he replied with ‘why aren’t you talking, you probably don’t speak English’ no she doesn't, she doesn’t speak at all because she is non-verbal. When I confronted him and told him not to speak to her how he is he then tried to intimidate me with going to get his boss because he’d kick off too; even though I’m a customer and was going to buy stuff today, he then stuck signs out to say for nobody to park there because the were going to be painting, however they weren’t there when we got there and I’m not physic, the way we were treated today is disgusting and has been reported to the police

Website very user friendly, reel I purchased was best price anywhere offering a huge saving. Excellent correspondence from their staff over hooks ordered but out of stock . Whole order arrived in less than 48 hours. That is how customer service should be!!

I bought my first fly rod combo and set of dry flies from Gary.

He rang me a couple of hours later to say the flies were no longer in stock but could send me an alternative, I said I was very new to fly fishing and asked him to use his judgement, he sent me some other flies and chucked in a pack of nymphs too. Very happy and it arrived in less than 24 hours.

Ordered a fly line. Was dearer than expected. Paul offered to honour the original deal. I chose to accept flies in lieu of a refund. First class service. Have and will deal with this business again.

Called me to say part of my order was out of stock but they would substitute with dearer alternative at no extra cost to me. Delivered next day although I only paid for standard delivery. Excellent service, thank you.

They have stock when other online retailers don't. I ordered a list of things and checked stock via phone. They were very helpful on the phone and gave useful advice. The prices were the best around and the goods arrived the next day - well packaged

Decided to buy my whole Rod outfit, waders, and boots with them since they had fair prices and great customer reviews. I was slightly skeptical however after reading sometimes they don't get in touch.

I took the leap and wasn't disappointed, after putting my order through I was contacted to be informed there would be a waiting time as some of the items I ordered (Orvis gear) was out of stock and would take several weeks to arrive, which was still faster than ordering through Orvis themselves.

Every time I called them they were very polite and happy to help out with my order and kept me informed on the delivery status. Couldn't ask for a better service, however, I would note they didn't seem to respond to emails which were fine for me as I tend to phone anyways.

Bought a fly rod from these guys last month and on first use managed to break the tip section. I emailed them querying how I could get a replacement section including cost etc and they promptly responded saying that they would send out a replacement part foc. Absolutely delighted. Great service.

Bought a new fly rod on Thursday- arrived Friday and was out fishing with it on Saturday. Unfortunately my son was using it and the tip snapped clean in two. Thought that would be the end of that rod- Contacted Garry Evans by phone on Monday- simple, friendly, efficient and new tip section arrived today Tuesday. Great customer service and they've cemented themselves into No 1 position for me to buy all my fishing gear online- prices are excellent as well. Can't praise them enough. Well Done

Terrible service! Purchased a landing net online. When it arrived the spreader block was missing and bag replaced with another brand bag. Cannot use net without a spreader block. Does not answer phone or reply to emails, yet he can post on his facebook page! Have had to put a claim through paypal and he hasn't bothered to reply to them either. Cowboy outfit, don't bother ordering online from them.
