Sharks. Avoid these guys at all costs. Everything is super complex and they won't let you withdraw your funds into your bank account. They also keep changing their rules.

They left my country out without warning

They have left out my country, Spain, as a country eligible to operate, without warning and without providing a solution to withdraw my assets when I realized it. When I complain, they respond that I do it with another eligible country and then that, I will have to inform them to give permissions, but nothing was true, since after doing the KYC facial recognition, they ask again for proof of residence, and since it is not one of the eligible countries that deliberately changed, my account is still blocked repeating the request to verify KYC, so they kept my data and my assets.It is definitely a scam website.

I am filing a formal complaint against Gate.io, a cryptocurrency exchange registered in the Cayman Islands. On 21-22 February 2025, I held Broccoli BROCCOLI token on the BNB Smart Chain in my Gate.io account, valued at 500 USD. Over the next 30 hours, I repeatedly attempted to withdraw or sell my funds but faced persistent errors and delays. Gate.io support informed me of "network problems" and "unstable network connection," but no resolution was provided. Attached screenshots show the error messages, including “Unable to complete operation” and “Order submission failed,” as well as my account balance before 500 USD and after 1 USD the token’s crash, resulting in a 499 USD loss.

Critically, on 21 February 2025, I successfully uted multiple buy and sell transactions for other tokens on the same BNB Smart Chain network, while my attempts to sell or withdraw.

BROCCOLI consistently failed. For example, at 16:56:24 on 21 February 2025, I attempted to sell BROCCOLI but the order failed as shown in attached trade history, yet I completed other BNB Smart Chain transactions, such as buying and selling other tokens, on the same day. This contradicts Gate.io’s claim of "network issues," as the network was functional for other transactions during the same period. The error messages I received, including “Unstable network connection” and “Token carries high risks,” indicate issues beyond my control, and Gate.io failed to process my BROCCOLI transactions in a timely manner, directly causing my financial loss. This is unacceptable from a regulated entity.

I have no control over Gate.io’s _ or the BNB Smart Chain network, and their negligence led to the loss of 499 USD due to the token’s value crashing from 500 USD to 1 USD while I was unable to withdraw or sell. I request a full investigation into Gate.io’s conduct and demand a reimbursement of my 499 USD loss. Please find all evidence attached, including screenshots of the errors, withdrawal attempts, account history, trade records, and Gate.io’s responses, for your review.

I uploaded everything with my tickets. 40 Hours no respond then rug. After rugging they respond me. I uploaded everything sir.

I fell victim to a scam in which funds were stolen from my account. I immediately filed a report with the relevant authorities and provided Gate.io with all the necessary information, including official police documentation.

Despite this, the responses from support have been vague and evasive, without any real commitment to resolving the issue. I was also blocked from interacting with them on social media, which raises concerns about their transparency.

I am still waiting for a refund or at least a clear and definitive response. I expected a more cooperative approach from a platform of this level.
I have already provided all the necessary information, including my case details and the fraudulent transaction hash, via email. My ticket number is #1495083. However, your responses have been vague, and no concrete action has been taken to resolve my issue. I urge you to take responsibility and process the refund accordingly. Please provide a clear and transparent update on the situation.

UPDATING EMAIL IS A NIGHTMARE

I have lost access to my previously registered email, and while the process of updating the email in platforms such as Binance and Coinbase was a breeze, updating it in Gate.io is an absolute NIGHTMARE! I have a passkey, registered phone number, and access to my 2FA. Updating my email should be a matter of seconds (as is with Binance or Coinbase) but instead, it's an absolute NIGHTMARE! YOU NEED TO FIX THIS.

Clunky. Hard to navigate and they DO NOT allow you to transfer your money back to the bank account it came from. Rather you have to send it to another platform. Avoid this site at all costs. I have money in there I can't get out. Ignore 5-star reviews or replies. These are BOT driven replies.

My friend was scammed 5,000€ by Gate.io…

My friend was scammed 5,000€ by Gate.io - After 3 weeks Gate.io has not solved the problem and they kept his money after blocking his account by restricted country issue.
They should have been returned the 5,000€ to the origin bank account but they kept it without refunding it and they just not respond support tickets anymore.
