Originally got a Montreal-Portugal flight canceled because of COVID, two years later, I managed to get a ticket to Egypt instead, really glad I got my voucher and they got great service too (altough it can be long to get an answer due to high demand). I will definitively use their service again if opportunity arise!

The site charges for everything it's ridiculous. The fact that I needed to pay an extra 20$ to ensure that my seat is secure, or 60$ for phone assistance is criminal. I understand that the economy is rough right now. But there is something morally wrong with charging basic services that are expected.
Quick and cheapest option, and terrible service
It was the cheapest ticket for that flight to find online and it went very quick and good to make the booking.
Then the issues started when I changed the date of birth from one of the passengers. It was processed in their system, but not the airline system. I am at least 6 e-mails further where constantly is claimed it is adjusted, eventhough the airline itself states the incorrect information including they will not allow boarding with the incorrect information. The service is terrible, takes long to respond, no phone number to reach them on and now taking the risk that people can not enter the airplane! I am really extremly upset as they still have not resolved anything!
Complete Scam - DO NOT BOOK
How is this company even allowed to exist? They should be shut down immediately. Had a flight cancelled because of a positive Covid and they are absolutely useless. The number is just a recording saying to email. Speaking through email they are trying to charge me a change fee that is 90% of my flight cost PLUS the fare difference. It's literally cheaper to book a new flight.
DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! You WILL lose your money.
Edit: After two weeks of being jerked around by them I finally had enough and I requested a refund and they said it will be an average of 6 weeks. I am certain the only reason they responded at all is because Skyscanner was in my corner after I reached out to them about the situation, as I booked through their portal. They have filed an official complaint against them as I asked them to remove Gate1.ca as a partner so no one else gets scammed
After reading all these comments I have my doubts I will see any of that money back... Has anyone that has never gotten there money back considered legal action? I would be interested to pursue a class action lawsuit against these criminals.
Worst money refund experience- don't buy
I bought a ticket at gate1.ca right before omicron hit the world and I had to cancel right away, but because gate1 doesn't have a phone number. I had to send a cancellation form, but because AirIndia only offers a full refund if someone cancels in 24 hours....so I didn't get that. The refund amount was pretty big so I wanted it quickly. The ticket was cancelled a week before the flight (delayed by the gate1), but my didnt come back even after 6 weeks. The gate1 ca said that it is on airline..we have done our cancellation part. I contacted the airlines multiple times and finally they said that the "gate1 agency" need to contact them to get the money back it is a basic step and they should have done that.
However, I couldn't get a hold of gate1 ..they stopped replying to me with their emails - the only way we can contact them.
So, finally, I used a trick...In a new cancellation form, I selected my flight date as two days later but talked about my ticket refund way back. Apparently, their dumb system only shows them the forms with a date close ahead. They replied and said we have submitted our request and after a week I got my money.
This was the worst experience I ever had ...I will never book with such a stupid agency again.

Terrible customer service and basically a scam. Changed flights without telling me or getting confirmation. Paid an extortionate fee for a checked in bag and they only booked it on my return flight. Do not give these scam artists any of your money or business.

Horrible customer service. Failed to retrieve refund fully in time and does not reply to emails in a timely manner. They even failed to communicate with the airline on a timely manner.

I was unable to travel due to COVID-19 in 2020, Gate1 promised me a refund (explicitly stated in their email), and still no refund or updates to this day. They have no phone representatives, they take months to respond to your inquiries, and their customer service is NON-EXISTENT. Do yourself a favour and book through an airline directly. The prices will be virtually the same, and at least there will be systems in place to accommodate you should something go wrong. DO NOT USE GATE1!

They are SCAM !! I purchased my family tickets from Gate1.ca they send me confirmation. After an hour they cancelled my flight. Very poor customer service, no contact # never pickup ph. Only to reach them by email. My money is stuck they are keep saying different stuff. You will get refund in weeks, 10 days, today.

It’s fraud no contact no. I had made big mistake my life. I booked Calgary to London . On return didn’t inform about USA border closed. I tried to contact no take liability to change my ticket. I lost all my family tickets and I purchased new tickets 4500$.

Same experience as everyone else. My flight got cancelled by the airline and their email said I could confirm or cancel. After I tried to navigate through the cancellation link, it became apparent that the only possible option was to confirm. I reached out within the cancellation window but they replied completely ignoring my request and not honouring their email, website or processes. I'm trying everything to get a hold of them but it's impossible.

MY flight was cancelled back in November of 2020! I have communication that a refund would be issued. We are now in July 2021 and I have still not received my refund. Many times I have emailed them, at first they said they are not in control as the airline is the one that cancelled the flight so can take up to 6 weeks for a refund. Since then radio silence! They do not respond anymore and I am lost as to what to do for my refund...

I know that Covid has been extremely difficult for companies in the travel industry and I'm sure the administrative issues related to all the cancellations of flights have been nightmarish. But to outright lie to customers and then to just ignore them after being called on their lies is unforgiveable. Most of the people posting on this site have been in difficult circumstances and these clowns are taking advantage.
I hope this company goes down in flames and the owners/shareholders lose everything they put into it. Probably too much to ask, but a guy can dream...

This company is a big scam ! Please stay away, I did the biggest mistake of not checking the reviews before booking with this scam company, my flight was canceled before I was on the plane due to medical reasons, the air Canada and Air France refunded me through the agency, I have contacted the agency so many times to get my money back and they never answered me, I have sent them so many emails and called them so many times and they totally ignore me. They have charged me and now they don’t give my money back. Stay away from these scammers!
