GBS Tax & Bookkeeping Reviews 2

Got to be one of the worst experiences I've had. Over the course of 2 months from sending GBS our docs, I had to write in ~5-6 times to see where things are. Kept hearing "we'll get you a draft of your returns soon". Finally, the draft return was sent to me 4 hours before the IRS filing deadline! And when I received it, it was filled with obvious mistakes that even me with no accounting experience spotted in 5 mins. I now have to get this all redone and file an amendment.

A bit shocked currently.

I've used this company for the past 3 years and they are incredibly disappointing, with long delays and serious mistakes at every step. This years tax return was the final drop for me - they misstated our yearly revenue more than 4x below our actual revenue, on an official tax declaration to be sent to the IRS. They claim to have two accountants reviewing every tax return which makes this all the more shocking.

In addition, they failed to get back to me in time for our franchise tax to be filed, despite me having contacted them more than 1 month before the deadline. They then contacted me with urgency and left me one day to provide details to avoid a state penalty. This is not how I expect a professional accountant to perform.

Will not be using them in future and recommend you stay away!
