Ordered grass and was promised delivery on 2 separate occasions. One the first occasion I was told that the van had been loaded and delivery was set for the next day. Then received an email on day of delivery that they could not fit the 5m roll into the van.
Was then set for re-delivery 3 days later (!) and although the delivery driver had turned up this time, THEY FORGOT TO LOAD THE GRASS INTO THE VAN!!!
So disappointed and wasted time and money with speaking to their customer service team. They then said they will receiver but now needed another 3 working days!! Just ridiculous and had to cancel fitters twice due to their false promises.
Avoid at all costs. Spend a bit extra and deal with a company that will actually deliver what you order!!
False promises and poor service
I ordered a few vynil floors. They promised delivery between 7-10am, on the monday, but the van broke down. No big deal. The company promised to get it fixed up and deliver the very next day, same time. Then at 9.30am I get a message saying they still hadnt fixed the van and wouldnt be delivering that day. So I cancel the order because im not putting up with such shoddy service.
Despite the cancellation and refund Im still being promised delivery on Thursday. Ive even called up to double check and had it confirmed that the order is cancelled. Still Im getting promises of delivery. Im willing to bet I'll get another message about their van still being broken
Perfect delivery
I have no idea as to the quality of the grass I ordered from grass247 as it is still rolled up however I was moved to write an initial review as a result of my experience so far.
I received an e mail yesterday informing me that my delivery would arrive between 7.00 and 10.00 today , it did at 07.50.
The e mail made clear that this would be a kerbside delivery which was a slight concern as I am awaiting an operation and cannot lift !
The driver came to the door and asked me where I would like the grass , I told him the front garden would be fine and I would get someone to move it later , he said, if it was easier he would reverse his van up the driveway and drop it there which he did .
The reason for submitting this review now is I had read so many horror stories about delivery of this product from grass247 I very nearly didn’t order ! The gentleman from Generation flooring could not have been more pleasant or helpful and any concerns were completely unfounded.
I am hopeful that the product equals the quality of delivery , if so the whole experience will have been perfect.
Had my carpet delivered today
Had my carpet delivered today. He rang the bell I answered him and pressed buzzer to get another bell ring consistent I answer again hello hello then I get a message saying no 1 home so I had to chase driver to get my delivery. How’s this guy still working here.
Ordered some underlay
Ordered some underlay, one pack came damaged, but after sending an email it was quickly rectified. Was kept informed at all times. Thankyou

Avoid. We ordered some grass carpet to use during a big charity event we have planned and wanted to rehearse. The carpet was originally to be delivered on 20 July 2021. Unfortunately the van broke down, though I understood it was unforseen. It was not our fault either so I would have expected reasonableness and flexibility in negotiating a new delivery day. Unfortunately I had taken the day off work to receive the delivery on Tuesday. My husband explained to the warehouse that I could be at home on Thursday but they said that could not be arranged and it would have be Friday. Hence, my husband informed them that no one would be in until 430 on friday. He sent a text message to that effect and also called the warehouse. Unfortunately I work on a respiratory unit in a hospital so am not in a position to up and leave. I had already taken Tuesday off.
We have now cancelled the order and received a full refund. I contacted Wilson's and they were not interested!
My point is the absolutely shoddy customer service. We are now in the position where we have to source another grass carpet and are hoping that we will get better customer service. It shocks me that apparently businesses are struggling well this one dont deserve custom
Finally sorted
Avoid at all cost! We purchased the 3rd most expensive grass they offer through grass247.co.uk. Thinking we invested in something great, what arrived is a product of shocking quality with a huge line right across the grass. We can only imagine what their cheaper grasses must look like! Requests to either refund our money or send a new role have been with the seller / manufacturer for a whole two weeks now with no solution in sight; we're continuously asked to wait for a decision. During a time where people really only get to enjoy their own garden as we're bound to our homes this is absolutely unacceptable! It shouldn't take two weeks to make a decision on something that quite clearly and visibly is a manufacturing fault.
Update: We have now had a new role of grass sent to us and the old one was collected. Though it took some time for the manufacturer to make this decision, grass 247 / online carpets / generation flooring have been good in communicating with us. Unfortunately, the new item still shows a clear visible line across it but we have also been offered a partial refund for it.
The service was appalling
The service was appalling, once the vinyl finally arrived it was the wrong colour. The answer button on the phone must be broke because with this level of service they certainly aren’t busy!! Rubbish
Short measure
Sent for 8mtr roll of vinyl received 400mm short offered me 20 quid compensation said I should have measured it before I laid it how can you measure that who as the ground to measure 8mtr be careful when ordering from them
