Awesome Electronics Insurance Company

Well it started one day when I took my Galaxy Z flip for into the repair shop for the reason of the bottom half not showing up at all the repairman told me that I was going to need possibly a new screen if it could be repaired or come to find out I needed a new phone and I just so happened to like the Galaxy Eclipse because they turn into a small compact if it's great my back pocket but needless to say he turned me on to akko so after reading a few reviews on the company I decided to purchase and after that it was all over with they did such a good job with my claim quick and easy now after 3 years I would not purchase any other insurance they most definitely take care of you with ease. Thank you akko

AKKO representatives were always prompt…


AKKO representatives were always prompt in their responses. While AKKO’s customer service is excellent, I would not recommend the small repair stores for iPhone repairs or diagnostics. Instead, get a quote from the Apple Store; it will save you both time and hassle. After few repairs phone was also diagnosed with defect on front side and got diagnostics invoice for replacement. I replaced my iPhone with a new one from AKKOs list of options and paid for it myself. Then, I sent AKKO the receipt, and less than a day later, they sent me the refund amount to my Venmo.
I was very pleased with their professional and speedy support team. A+++++

READ MY POST TO AVOID DELAYS> (No # to call and messages can take days to respond. )
I am extremely upset having to wait this long for a repair. Initially I put in a claim in Sept. Cracked my screen. I thought it wasnt a big deal. Went through the claim process. I was hoping I could put in a claim, take it to the service center and they could take care of the paper work. I was wrong. It took days and weeks of communication, and then procedures to follow in order for the claim to be accepted. I am in January and still no completion. My claim went from cracked screen to now a dead phone. I went to a service center and they had to manually write an estimate with cost for a cracked screen. Why would I have to do this if they work with select service shops? Then my sons phone had the same issue, so i submitted a new claim. Once I submitted the estimate, they approved his phone and I had to wait until my son's phone was repaired. They approved the repair and sent me $300 to get it fixed, minus the deductible. I'm not sure why you are sending large amounts of payments with customers and not setting up accounts directly with the shops. Once that got submitted, i started on my phone. Now my phone turned off due to water in the phone. I was approved for full reimbursement to purchase a renewed phone from amazon Im waiting for a payout and they offered me $200 less than what I should be receiving. I messaged them on Wed to correct the price and its friday. Im sure this doesnt even make sense, but let me help you avoid my mistake. 1.put in a claim, 2. get an estimate at a local shop like batteries plus or Helpertech.3. submit estimate in claim. should be $29-$49 for new screen deductible. I'll be here waiting for a new phone....
UPDATE... Once I submitted a review, someone responded to my messages that I sent to the company.
Unfortunately it took too long and people need to know the right way for your claims to be approved. I do appreciate the quick response, but please do better.

I started using Akko in March

I started using Akko in March. I had a rare camera issue occur and it was $270, but I had a credit and they would've paid everything minus my deductible. I ended up not having to pay the deductible because of my credit. Great company!

Exceptional Service and Experience

Purchased a protection plan for my phones and was nervous about the claims process as I was waiting for the other shoe to drop (so to speak). One of my phones fell and cracked the screen, and I'm extremely happy that the claims process was incredibly simple and extremely fast. I also appreciate that I didn't need to send my phone away to the manufacturer for weeks/months on end for "evaluation". Once the claim was approved and the repair was completed, AKKO sent me a digital reimbursement (through venmo) within 10 minutes. 10/10 - would highly recommend.

Signed up for a protection plan for my…Only to be ripped off

Signed up for a protection plan for my Ozlo Sleepbuds (two plans for two sets). As luck would have it 28 days later one earbud stopped working and I filed a claim. It was denied by AKKO because it had not been 30 days. Terrible customer service and zero value for what I paid. Would not recommend them for any protection plan.

I have Akko device protection through…

I have Akko device protection through my carrier which is US Mobile. I would 100% recommend them! They let me repair my device at Apple. Plus they paid out my claim VERY QUICKLY after I submitted the final receipt from Apple! Normally companies love dragging their feet, but not Akko! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AKKO!!!

I would highly recommend Akko!

I have Akko through US mobile. I cracked my device and the process was very easy! I filed the claim, sent a video of the damage and it was approved! They even let me repair at Apple Store instead of forcing me to go to a specific repair place so I could 100% be sure my repair was done correctly!

An interesting alternative to Apple Care

Pros:

Everything is through the app.
An exception was made for a claim due to a disclosured preexisting condition.
Reimbursement was lightning fast to Paypal.
Communication was good.

Room for improvement:

Imputing correct information and documentation through the app was not as clear as could be and required numerous tries and correspondence.

Could be more expensive compared to Apple Care depending on yearly time frame and number of claims.

Akko plan and claims team is amazing

Akko plan and team is amazing. My phone screen all of sudden stopped working. I raised a claim thru their app and it was a smooth and easy process to get the claim approved. I would be taking Akko plan for my other family members as well to cover their devices.

Amazing Experience
