If I could give them minus stars I would. I thought I was dealing directly with the hotel because of the interface of their website. When I saw the booking fees of nearly €150 I cancelled - within 2 m... See more

ALLERT
ALLERT - this service and site is a FRAUD. they induce registration of room pretending to be the hotel, using the same photos etc; they change price, they over charge, the take your data and make a booking via booking.com providing a false indication of you as residing elsewhere, they do not anwer properly, they apply a cancellation charge which is exorbitant (2/3 of the price). THIS IS AN ILLICIT CONDUCT.
Beware of scammers
I thought I was booking a room on the hotel's own website. I clicked through to book and was paying on my revolut card. The price was almost double what I had seen on the site so I clicked to cancel the payment and it immediately went through. It then showed the name of a completely different hotel in Ireland ( the hotel I was booking was in UK). I'm currently in contact with Revolut to try and resolve this but I've a sinking feeling I won't see my money again!
Fraudulent Company!
This company is fraudulent and should be put out of business. Be careful when making hotel reservations - go straight to hotel and read the small print! I cannot even find out who got my money. OUTRAGED!!
An absolutely disgraceful company
An absolutely disgraceful company. They make it appear like you are paying a certain amount but then they take double the amount off your credit card. They make it appear like you are booking directly with the hotel however you are not!!! They then refused to refund me despite me ringing within 10 minutes of making the reservation. And finally they cancelled the reservation without my approval and advised that they are keeping the full payment despite me telling them I hadn’t approved for the reservation to be cancelled. AN ABSOLUTE SCAM.
Do not book via the website it’s a scam
Do not book via the website it’s a scam
Took £438 from me & i did not confirm with my banking authorisation & my bank say they can’t help
How to say this is the worst site…
How to say this is the worst site everything is made to make you think it's the hotel and make you book without cancellation possible so once they got you you actually will need to pay whatever you say.
In my case even tho i felt the issue at payment and denied it in my banking app it was still debited and even after i contacted the bank and opened a case they still took the money but on top of that they even cancelled the booking
Hotel room booked in Paris
Hotel room booked in Paris, expected invoice 370 Euro, actual 512 Euro. Impossible to speak with customer service and then they charged the full amount when I cancelled.
Booked a room
Booked a room, non- refundable. Nowhere they told me that in addition to the price of the room I had to pay a 100€ (!!!) in taxes! Really makes me question if this company is doing honest work or just fool people.
Hotel Values- Total scam!!!!
Total scam!!!!! how has this company not been prosecuted or banned from advertising these fake prices? Obvs thousands of people tricked out of their money - I thought I was booking direct on Radisson’s site and ended up with 50% extra charges which were completely hidden before checkout - all done under Hotel Values name now, but click the links and it goes back to get a room. I called Co-op bank immediately and they said they couldn’t do anything :(
This company is a scam
This company is a scam, The spend alot of time making it look like you are on the hotels web page when its their booking site. I booked from Australia for an Australian hotel yet was charge in USD. At no point did it say it was USD till after I had paid. While booking it said free cancelation but after I canceled to get my money back I found out its non refundable. I have tried to contact them to reintate the booking but they dont answer. AVOID AT ALL COST
getaroom.com is a scam
On the 18th of November, 2024 I googled "High Wycombe Hilton" and clicked on one of the first results expecting it to be the official Hilton site, I reserved a room for the 18th of December to 27th of December, 2024. A few minutes after booking after I got the booking confirmation (booking number 98171798 and getaroom booking R5277865375) I called on their helpline to try and cancel. They told me that the booking was non-refundable and cannot be changed or canceled, I informed them that I had looked and can see the exact same room listed on the hilton official site at not only a lower rate, but also 100% refundable if canceled before December 12th. The customer support rep suggested that I make another booking for the refundable room and they would try and talk to their Hilton rep (Tobais I believe) and if Hilton approves, they would cancel my original booking and I could keep the cheaper and refundable one, If Hilton doesn't agree to a cancelation, I could cancel the fully refundable one. They asked for my credit card information again and booked another room (Booking #93218550 and getaroom booking R5277913129).. The very next morning I got a notification from my credit card app that my card was charged $2500 for a Nikon camera and I had to reach out to Nikon to have that reversed. On further correspondence with their support I was repeatedly told that my original booking which was non-refundable was canceled and since it was non-refundable, I had to forfeit the amount and only had the newer booking (93218550) active so I had no option. I reached out to hilton support and was informed that both bookings were active and I managed to get the newer booking canceled, however, Hilton informed me that since this was booked from a 3rd party, they will not be able to issue a refund. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and the next day got an email from priceline (getaroom) stating that a refund has been issued (I am yet to see the refund hit my account)
After more than 3 months of fighting and trying to get a refund I had to file a dispute with my credit card company - The company has still not issued me a refund, but given all the evidence I shared with my credit card company, they issued me a credit
this is a horrible company - BEWARE
Charged my card for additional costs…
Scam company who's websites are near identical to the actual hotel you're trying to book from.
Charged my card for additional costs without warning or consent. Absolute scam company, NEVER use them.
Deception when booking and paying for a hotel room
Visited the Travellodge site today to book a room in Edinburgh. The price would be around £240.00 and I booked. When paying with the credit card, I suddenly see an amount of €. 720.00 directed to getaroom.com (which I had never heard of) and I wanted to cancel the booking immediately. Unfortunately, this was no longer possible because the booking had apparently already been completed. I find this approach absolutely scandalous and will not leave it at that.
A total scam business
A total scam business. DO NOT even attempt/enquire booking a room with them. They took over £350 unapproved from my credit card even after disapproved the payment with my bank and clicked cancel on their website. It’s a trap and a scam. I’ve spoken directly with the hotel involved and the company. The hotel said that they had not received any money. When I spoke to the business they emailed confirmation of the reservation that I didn’t make being cancelled and have refused to give me my stollen money back. Scam business and nothing but thieves.
THIEFS!!!!!
I did not approve the operation on my credit card but the surprise was that they have already charged me! All in all, they are a completely scam
Booked and cancelled on the same day..
Booked and cancelled on the same day... still charged full fee. scam
Thieves who will not refund you and…
Thieves who will not refund you and make it impossible to cancel or reverse a transaction
I made a reservation from the 31 of Jan to the 1st of Feb this year in Canmore, AB, Canada. I decided to stay in Banff and was unable to cancel my reservation. Out of courtesy, I phoned the Hotel Super 8 Canmore to cancel directly with them not to cause any inconvenience. AMEX held the payment and later on informed me that Getaroom must have their payment. Worried
I have not even submitted a payment on this website and it has taken money for a booking + more than originally quoted. Absolutely unsure how that is possible? I have emailed the business and am hoping to get my money back as I never consented to money being taken off my bank card! Seeing so many awful reviews makes me worried I won’t see my money again.
Terrible
Terrible ! They make it an “easy” button to cancel without any knowledge of fees! Horrible customer service too, stay away!
They spoof under Priceline where you think you are dealing with a legit site .
I’m reporting them to the BBB
You will get screwed over booking a room with…
You will get screwed over booking a room with this site. It looks like you book a room with the Hotel website, but you get redirected to an american site belonging to getaroom.com. Very high amount in taxes en fees comes extra. Canceling costs a fortune. Watch out!
