Initially thought I was getting the very best in services with GetMoreHair UK and Cosmedica's reputation. The clear disinterest in GMH providing even the most basic customer service became clear to me particularly over time despite the initial welcome message saying "call me anytime." Repetitive ignoring of my calls, texts & emails gave me no choice but to cancel the arrangement and lose my $400 deposit. I saved my booking confirmation so don't try to claim fake review or fake customer like was done before w GMH on this site. Totally focused on self promotion doesn't care about customer concerns. That was my experience.

I was disappointed after my first transplant, mainly with the coverage on the crown of my head. However, GMH honoured their guarantee and did a second transplant free of charge, which took well. It was a pain to have to go again to Turkey, although all I had to pay for was the flights with GMH covering everything else. Treatment was again very professional.

Going to keep this short as possible. It’s now been a year from hair transplant. Yes Iv had hair come threw did they do what I asked no. First day was a rush they got you in and started straight away with no heads up. Hotel was bad, food was worse. Had to go out every night to eat. I paid for the package where they use the machine to put the hair back in. They never used it they did it by hand! After the transplant I noticed they didn’t go down enough on the forehead like I asked and was also was at a angle. I messaged Mike he just said talk to them. (He wasn’t fussed!), I went down the next day told them I wasn’t happy they new they had messed up but blagged it and said it was due to swelling etc. overall I wouldnt recommend these people due to they don’t listen and they don’t look after you and you will 100% have to have another transplant. Witch is what they want. Kept in touch with the couple of the lads that was having it done the same day and they also have to same thoughts. And they also had their warranty cancelled due to the doctors reckons they did the job correct even tho you can see they havnt. So that’s all aloud of bull. They then offer you a percentage off if you rebook. So if you do go with these people make sure they do what you paid for! Using the correct equipment and where you want your hair line. Personally I got the hairline and it looks better you can’t notice what I said but end of the day they still didn’t do what I asked for and paid for. I’d pay the extra and do it in your country if you have that service. O and another most of these reviews are well before a year after eg 1day after procedure as they offer you more treatment products eg your shampoo and vitamins if you write a good review. So if I was you find someone who’s been them and wait a year to see how there hair comes out.

Got in touch with Mike initially after hearing him on radio speaking passionately about helping people get their confidence back through getting their hair back. He asked me to send pictures of my hair. Seemed really passionate about what he does and what he could do for me. The set up seemed pretty professional and because I had already had a transplant which didn’t work I opted for the top service and paid a bit more to have Dr Acar perform the actual transplant. Hotel was ok and the clinic seemed pretty modern and professional. I didn’t expect to see so many other patients all booked in on the 1 day. Filled out the questionnaire and because there were so many other people there the staff forgot to give me my pre meds. The place was a conveyor belt of patients waiting to get done. At no point did I feel like I was receiving a personal service from people who actually cared. Got back home and was hopeful that this time it would have worked. Followed all the advice and made sure to take my post surgery meds etc but after 6months I could see it wasn’t really happening. After 1 year I could see it was another failure as there was very little hair at the transplanted area. Complete waste of time and money. These people only want your money. There not interested in actually giving you the right advice to help you. I got in touch with them during covid to tell them about my negative experience to be told I would need to wait until things were back to normal and covid had died down. Fast forward nearly 3 years and I have just shaved my head completely as there is virtually no hair around the transplant area. Don’t get caught out with this company and save your money!!! Would not recommend Dr Acar to anyone!!!!!!

Approached GMH back in 2018 and Mike gave me realistic advice on what could be achieved with a hair transplant even thou i wanted an amazing result from one session of FUE. All other clinics at the time said they could achieve great results even thou my hair loss was advanced they just wanted my money. Im grateful for Mike looking back as he's advice was honest! Had two hair transplants now and I'm happy although not with GMH I'm grateful fro Mikes advice that he have me and wouldn't hesitate in going to speak to GMH.

Well the reason I’ve put 1 star is becouse I no how everyone loves too read the negative before the positive lol , so my journey started about 3 years ago I suffers from hair loss from when I was 18 knocked my confidence down too a all time low !! ! Most off the time I couldn’t bare too leave the house let alone look in the mirror , I felt like I was loosing my identity aswell as my confidence !! I got to 26 and I had enough I done some research and yes there are some really bad clinics out there in Istanbul and some really good ones so it is important too do your research I decided too take the plunge and go with cosmedica from when I called Mike , too get honest friendly advice from the start , I went and booked in for flights too Turkey all inclusive hotel transfers and also a clean modern hotel was the cherry on top aswell as amazing staff at cosmedica they was very hospitable people who looked after me very well I was very nervous waking up before the treatment and wasant going too go ahead with it but I’m sure happy I did I couldn’t be happier dr acar , did let me no I would certainly need another one in a few years and I new that as baldness is hereditary in my family but damm I’ve got hair on my head still and was very happy with my results I got from the hair transplant I revived I got what I wanted I new I wouldn’t have crazy thick hair I new that but I’ve got a decent amount off hair too go out in public and feel confident in the way I look as I was not ready too go bold after the procedure all medication included shampoo and option too buy extras too help you on your journey for the best results which I obviously brought . I recommend cosmedica Mike his team they are professional and do not get false advice I was very shocked too see the negative reviews as my hair transplant went better then I thought it would and this is why I’m going tooo be speaking with Mike the next few days about going back out too have another big session too get as much as I can done too battle the hair loss onwards and upwards THANKYOU COSMEDICA ! I was prompted to write this review having seen all of the negative reviews posted. Having had the initial consultation over whatapp, I had a telephone call with Mike today.
Mike was very honest with me and told me there were many more avenues available before I took to surgery.
Through this I am now going to use a 9 month course of finestride, I will be sure to get in touch with Mike and the team if my hair worsens. Thankyou

Ignore the crap reviews these lot were amazing from start to finish I dealt with Killian from the GMH team they were no pressure helped with every question and after my hair transplant at cosmedica they were great too amazing hotel great food great shuttle pick up service to the clinic, and the clinic was great clean professional dr acar worked his magic I had very little blood and scarring I’m 3 weeks in and just looks like Iv shaved my head would tell anyone to go here and use these lot I had 5000 grafts DHI dr acar gold package well worth the money so far just waiting for the results

I’m going to start by saying that I had never been happy with my hair. I was 33 when I decided to visit GMH / Cosmedica. I probably starting losing my hair when I was about 24. I work In a very customer facing job so like to look good but most importantly feel my very best.

After filling in a generic online questionnaire requesting information for hair transplants, I was quickly contacted by a number of companies. It wasn’t until later in the day that I received a phone call from Mike. Instantly I felt at ease due to the English connection. It was comforting to hear Mike’s story about his own hair transplant and how it had changed things for him. He emailed over some personal photos of his results and some information regarding pricing etc. I replied with some photos of my own and Mike explained how they could help. I decided to go for it.

The great thing was, that I didn’t have to part with any money until I got to Turkey. I simply booked my flights and presented the confirmation to GMH and they did the rest. This gave me great comfort as if I didn’t like the look of things when I got there, then I could have just taken a flight home.

As it happens, there was no need to worry. I was picked up from the airport on time is a well presented limo and taken to the hotel. The hotel is business airport hotel so is of a very good standard. I ate in the restaurant and the food was great, as was the breakfast selection. (** my advice would be to take an iPad loaded full of films.)

On the day of the surgery, I was picked up and taken to the hotel. There was a bit of a wait whist the paperwork was taken care of but the time flew by with consultations, head shaving and chatting to fellow patients.

I had a quick chat with Dr Acar and the operation was under way. I will just mention that my particular op took 9 hours to complete so be prepared. It can be tough going but I promise you (that in my particular case) the results are more than worth it.

Following the operation I went back to the hotel for rest and returned the next day for a check up. This was just a rest day so quickly returned to the hotel to catch up on more sleep. I returned the following day for my first all important hair wash. I was issued with my vitamin tablets etc and taken for my flight home to the airport.

It is quite clear that from my time spent in Turkey and from the number of people sporting the Bjorn Borg style hand bands (designed to keep swelling down) that hair transplants are a huge business over here. I can only comment on my personal experience and say that I would have no hesitation in recommending GMH / Cosmedica for this life changing procedure. My results are fantastic, I look completely different with absolutely no scaring or after effects of the procedure.

From the first contact with Mike right through to the after care calls and support that I received, my experience was excellent. They even offer a 10% reduction should you wish to go back for a top up in the years following.

Well lads.. after years of deliberation. Thousands of pounds spent on hair fibres and weekly haircuts to keep my Trump like side shed in order.

Just finished my second day at Cosmedica. Really can’t fault them. Everything ran so smoothly.. the treatment was top notch. Dr Acar is a gentleman and special mention to Mete and Bashair whom carried out the operation and were top notch. Up beat, attentive and really pulled it off - I know it’s early days but I’m so chuffed with the outcome thus far. Can’t thank them enough.. last ones in the clinic after 9.5 hours on the table today!

Was quoted 4000-4500 grafts needed and booked the gold plus package through Cosmedicas UK partners GMH - Jamie and Mike are top lads and every thing was seamless from first message. (£2250)

On my first check I was advised I wouldn’t get full coverage and this was echoed by Dr Acar who suggested I do two days instead. (Extra payment) So pleased I did.

To go back to get bandages off tomorrow before catching a flight back home.. will be doing first wash at home due to time frames.

Been told 6700 grafts in total. 3000 first day from rear right of my head in to a very dense hairline. Further 2700 from rear left and 1000 from beard.

Also met a top bunch of boys out here themselves in the same boat staying in hotel! Defo not felt alone..

I’ve got a long road ahead.. but if your on the fence, go for it guys!!!

First off you get picked up in morning with bus up to 8-10 people at one time then you get hospital at which your waiting nearly 3hours before surgery begins.

Your hairline gets drawn on with no thought it isn’t measured are checked

Once you eventually get in to your surgery room there is another person getting surgery right next to you quantity over quality with this company!!! While you can see there no negative feedback that is because mike reports all negative posts also he only ever posts the positive. Customer service skills from mike terrible he’s only interested in you if your hair transplant successful if you have worry’s are not happy you will get told this is normal. Are fed excuse after excuse. There is a lot better clinics in Istanbul that have a lot better customer care and service quality should always come above quantity.

Please, christ, DO NOT go here !! Their whole set up is a massive con ! They are illigitiamate ! The actual real and legal company is called 'GET HAIR' not 'get more hair'. I was scammed by this company and now i am suffering with ruined hair , NEVER to be the same again. They make you pay a deposit upfront, then send you a falsified assessment via whatsapp, bearing no guarentee if something changes on the day of surgery, which for me - it did. My hair and life has been destroyed by the company. Do not be lured in by Mike and his team they are SCAM artisits !!

They did not do CALLUM BESTS hair transplant - he's had several due to the this company ruining his first !! Just look this up yourselves. And that was even through the dr doing it himself, CALLUM posts nothing more on this company after they ruined his hair, but gets 3 other haur transplants done ?! - this speaks for itself !! Callum best will NOT have had his done by the technicians - which is all you'll be offered to get yours done by !! As i did, by two awful technicians who did a butchery job to my hair !

And i can assure you, responses back to this will be people with shares in the company, and who troll social media and defend the company. Their TRUSTPILOT reviews are all fake !! Written by workers of the company who have simply set up vairious email addresses and left their own company a review.

I wasn't going to post this because I dont like to put out negative energy and I believe in karma. But I can't sit by and allow the chance for this to happen to someone else.

Mike (GMH) at has extremely poor customer service skills in my opinion and treated me very badly. (We're allowed to have opinions Mike this is what this website is for, so stop reporting my review). He said I made outlandish claims, lol that is a lie. Who am I to make outlandish claims, actually please could you kindly tell me what the claims are I would also like to know also.

The Cosmedica clinic in Turkey itself is okay (also reviews can be bought on WhatClinic, research this for yourself if you don't believe me, don't just go on what I say) Dr Acar and the staff are nice and friendly, they are flexible with you but there's alot of false hopes being given out, and it's a shame they have Mike as a rep. Downsides are, you are treated abit like cattle, very unorganised, alot of waiting around staff cannot speak to you on WhatsApp in English. If they are happy with your result, not when you are happy they won't care to treat you again. And the result that is done is not the best of your potential that you could get elsewhere

By the way. My treatment was done a few years ago when it was £1 to about 4 liras and now the rate is £1 to 7/8 liras, so you would think the prices for GMH would change but no.

I recommended my father to this clinic. I genuinely believe Mike mis sold us the package in order to get us there. Once we got there, the clinic were saying completely different things to Mike and were asking for more money for extra hair to be put on. My dad was really upset and it was in fact Mike who was making outlandish claims ,, telling my dad he was going to treat him as though he was the king of turkey LOL. Anyway. That never happened. My dad has his guarantee documents. They never done the rest of what they promise

I reccomend Dr Cinik who can give you a better result. They literally own a whole hospital. They have their own salon in there. They have 4 English speaking translators who, and there is one constantly by your side. they assign you one over WhatsApp so if you want to speak to them directly, They fixed the mess that these guys did and refused to fix, Dr Cinik do charge the same price as Dr Acar, but I paid waaay less, to be honest I bargained with them because Dr Cinik felt sorry for me) alot more professional and thorough. .

The only difference is with Dr Cinik I had to do a prior blood test in the UK (free from your GP) so Dr Cinik can do a proper evaluation on why your hair is the way it is (hormonal or vitamin deficiency) and give you an HONEST success rate, not just pop hair on your head and hope for the best.

Also me recommending another company doesn't mean anything, I'm not going to get anything out of it. I just want to help because that what this website is about

The success rate for Cosmedica is untrue in my opinion the success rate is like 40-50% and if you go back for a second treatment then I'd say about 50-70%. Trust me, I know. I've had this done.

And if Mike tells you anything otherwise please just look at his head. He still looks like he is receeding. Don't go on photos. Photos don't mean anything.

If you don't want to believe me, it's upto you, proceed with GMH if you want to waste your money. But I know how it feels to feel like crap to be embarassed so it's important you all know. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Also for everyone giving 5* ratings , I respect your reviews but the treatment you got is the standard across the board and you could get better elsewhere.

After a year of research I decided to get my hair transplant with GMH. They have always been extremely professional and helpful from the moment I contacted them. It's all made very easy, from the initial assessment process to the actual surgery being performed. The whole experience went a smoothly as can be expected. The hotel, the pick ups to and from the clinic, the clinic itself and the work carried out by a great team, all this was at a high standard. I'm very happy with my results and looking forward to the months ahead. Thank GMH and Cosmedica.

Great company and the guys were knowledgable and helpful at all times. Would definitely book again. Results were fantastic too. Couldn’t be more pleased.

Like many of you reading this, I was sceptical about reading some online reviews for the many clinics in Istanbul. I sent off some pics via whatsapp to a few and I found that alot of them had promised the earth for a rock bottom price. Guaranteeing 5000+ grafts, full coverage, no pain etc....

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

GMH were the only ones that told it how it was and came back with a realistic evaluation of my current hair loss.

They suggested that they may be able to get 3-3500 grafts (subject to the doctor seeing in person) and they may need to take some grafts from my beard to add extra density.

There was no pressure to book, or to pay deposits etc, and the whole process was left down to me to instigate. Even after I went quiet on them for 8 weeks, I got back in touch and picked up where we left off.

GMH is a well oiled machine, and the booking process was really easy - I paid a deposit via bank transfer and the rest was to be paid in cash at the clinic.

They have different options (packages) and at no stage was I 'upsold' - however I chose to pay the extra to have Dr Acar 'open the channels' (make the incisions).

Mike even called me late at night when I had arrived in Istanbul to see how the flight was and make sure I was all set.

I wont go into huge detail on the procedure, but lets just say that I slept through most of it, and the clean, modern clinic set my mind at ease. All of the techs and the doctor were very friendly, and knowledgeable.

Since having the procedure (one week ago) the team at GMH have been in touch to check my wellbeing and give me advice regarding aftercare.

If there is one takeaway from this, I spoke with Mike a couple of days ago and enquired about 'referral' fees for sending people his way.

Mike's response (not verbatim) - 'Although we appreciate the gesture, we want clients to get the best experience on their terms, so we dont want millions of people sent across to earn us a few more quid - the patient is going through a life changing procedure and we want to respect that process, and give them the time and personal service that they deserve'

There's my meal ticket down the drain.....

I was nervous at first about going to turkey for a hair transplant but I really shouldn’t of been, From the minute we landed (my dad came with me for support) we found the travel desk easy and got our transfer, which was shared by another 2 guys from Germany, to our hotel.

Hotel was nice and it put me at ease just to see how many people were there to have procedures done themselves. GMH gave me a pickup time and Mustafa was there to pick me up, unfortunately there was no space in the van for my dad to come along to the hospital.
Hospital was very clean and modern, much better than my local hospital. I went with the Dr Acar package and I was whisked away to see him first out of our group. Couldn’t have been nicer and helped to put me at ease, he designed my new hairline and had a brief chat with me regarding my hair.

Then I had my bloods taken and then before photos taken, head was then shaved and it was ready to go through to start the hair transplant. The needle free injections were only 2/10 in pain but in my opinion they done very little in the way of numbing for the main injections which were sore, probably a 7/10. Technicians then started harvesting the grafts before Dr Acar came in to make the slit incisions on where these hair were going to be placed, then technicians placed the grafts in after.

Whole procedure took around 6/7 hours and I did not feel any pain after the injections, also the Xanax they give you really helped to calm me down and stop shaking. Everyone in the clinic were really helpful and nice and most spoke English.

Day 2 and 3 I was back to the clinic in the morning to have my hair washed and to pick up medication, I was free to explore Istanbul on day 2. I would 100% recommend the experience of going to turkey and also GMH’s service.
